The cover liners at municipal and hazardous waste landfill is not emphasized as much as the bottom liners. However, one of the most effective reason of landfill destroy is the cover liner failure. The cover system at municipal and hazardous waste landfill, 1 perform the following functions, at minimum: promote surface runoff, impede infiltration, protect settlement in the landfill, and provide a buffer from surface exposure of the waste. This research was to expand the existing knowledge base of landfill cover liner behavior during period of freeze/thaw Also, the great Lysimeter was built in the laboratory to provide as much as same condition with the field and three designs were simulated by actual cover materials. The result of simulation indicated the clay was effected by freezing/thawing. The degradation of cover liners in the frost penetration affects the physical, engineering properties of clay. these factors may consider to design and construct of the landfill. This paper provides the description of testing cover liners, experimental results and a discussion of the results of the simulation.

The structures and processes of medical education have changed little since the publication of Flexner's report, which stressed the scientific orientation of medical education and the curricular structure of 2 years of formal knowledge education and 2 years of clinical experience. However, the previous perspectives on medical education are facing challenges, and these call for new pedagogy and theories on which to base medical education practice. Considering that social dimensions of learning have been emphasized in practice, perspectives that integrate these aspects are needed. Among the various learning theories, social cognitive theory refers to the theoretical framework which contends that learning occurs within interactions with others and environments. From a social cognitive standpoint, learning through observation is a critical component in human functioning. Indeed, observational learning has particular significance in medical education in that it provides the context for which the importance and meaning of role models can be understood. In addition, as theoretical constructs such as self-efficacy and outcome expectations allow us to establish an effective learning environment, exploring the concepts of the theory could be beneficial to medical education practice. In this context, the present review article aims to provide a glimpse of the fundamental assumptions and theoretical concepts of social cognitive theory and discusses the implications the theory has on teaching and learning. Further, a review of previous studies could help explain how the theory has informed medical education practice. Finally, the author will conclude with the implications and limitations of applying social cognitive theory in medical education.

Aim: An epidemiological shift has resulted in increase in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCD). Unlike other NCDs which are easily and definitely preventable, the knowledge of cancer prevention is still limited at present. Various aetiological factors are difficult to control since those are habit forming. Hence an available remedy remains its secondary and tertiary prevention for which appropriate planning is of paramount importance. Evidence based planning requires careful analysis of data with a view to prioritize various cancers. Keeping in view the fact that the adaptation of smoking free status in Chandigarh city might have a far reaching positive effect on the cancer related morbidity of the people, the following study was undertaken to provide base line data to be used for future comparisons. Methods: The registers maintained in the Department of Radiotherapy were checked and those belonging to the years 1999 to 2009 were utilized to analyze the cancer morbidity in respect to age, sex, and year of presentation to health care facility. Results: A total of 4,600 cancer patients (males=2276, females=2324) demonstrated a gradual increase in the number of cancer cases from 150 in the year 1999 to 783 in the year 2009. The most common cancers amongst males were cancer of gastro-intestinal tract (GIT) and lung (including larynx) constituting 37.3% and 27.1% of the total, respectively. In females these were cancers of breast and cervix representing 33.3% & 17.6% of total cancer cases, respectively, and lung cancer constituted 5.3%. The maximum cases of bone cancer (53.8% of all bone cancers) were observed amongst children aged less than 20 years and lung cancer (48.2% of all lung cancers) among the elderly aged 60-69 years. This tutorial presents an approach to perform the PLS structural equation modeling using the R. For this purpose, the practical guide defines the criteria for the PLS structural equation modeling by reviewing previous studies, and shows how to analyze the research model with an example using the "plspm" which is the R package for the performing PLS path analysis against the criteria. This practical guide will be useful for the study of the PLS model analysis for new researchers and will provide the knowledge base for in-depth analysis through the new PLS structural equation modeling technique using R which is the integrated statistical software operating environment for the researchers familiar with the PLS structural equation modeling.

One to one Marketing (a.k.a. database marketing or relationship marketing) is one of the many fields that will benefit from the electronic revolution and shifts in consumer sales and advertising. As a component of intelligent customer services on Internet storefront, this paper describes technology of providing personalized advertisement using the market basket analysis, a well-Known data mining technique. The underlining theories of recommendation techniques are statistics, data mining, artificial intelligence, and/or rule-based matching. In the rule-based approach for personalized recommendation, marketing rules for personalization are usually collected from marketing experts and are used to inference with customer's data. However, it is difficult to extract marketing rules from marketing experts, and also difficult to validate and to maintain the constructed Knowledge base. In this paper, using marketing basket analysis technique, marketing rules for cross sales are extracted, and are used to provide personalized advertisement selection when a customer visits in an Internet store.

This research is aimed at contriving to expand to its base on the research work Military medicine in East Asia by introducing GunjungUihak(means Military medicine) and adding translations and commentaries to it and propagating to academic circles. GunjungUihak is the only technical book on GunjungUihak which was written for the purpose of treating soldiers in time of war. One of the characteristics shown in its prescription is convenience in medical treatment; the writer of GunjungUihak Wangmyeonghak(王鳴學) edited pills and a powdered medicine to be prescribed in large proportions so that they could be used urgently in the situation of battles at a viewpoint of a general while collecting knowledge of medicine. In addition, this book is compiled with a very short edition with one volume and 18 units. Including only a little amount in the book means that it was compiled by extracting only the contents needed in preparation for the wartime emergency, and such a measure was taken for military surgeons to carry it with facility during the time of war. In addition, much weight of this book was given to the diseases caused by environment with which soldiers came in contact in time of combat, not the wounds by the weapons of war as specified from the beginning of the book, which suggests that the environmental factor of the friendly forces was much more threatening than the arms of enemy troops in the situation of a combat. Like this, GunjungUihak is a material of great value in that it is showing a model of the aspects of Military medicine in East Asia at that time even in its fragmentary writings and it has been preserved by Korea.

Automatic service identification and quality evaluation is one of key characteristics for a Service-Oriented Computing, being receiving a lot of attention from researchers in recent years. However, most researchers focus on identifying and evaluating application services and do not present methods for automatically identifying and evaluating business services from business processes. In general, the manual business service identification process by a human expert is a highly expensive and ambiguous task and may result in the service design with bad quality because of errors and misconception. We propose an automatic business service identification and quality evaluation method using Enterprise Architecture as a machine understandable knowledge-base. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed method through a case study on Department of Defense Enterprise Architecture.

A digital retrodirective antenna system is easy to modify and upgrade because it can control the phase information of the output signal toward opposite direction to input signal without a priori knowledge of the arrival direction. Due to this advantage, it is possible to perform fast beam tracking. In this paper, a design digital retrosirective array antenna system according to the number of antenna array by using only one digital PLL which finds angle of delayed phase and we test BER performance of this system. When we transmit data at actual communication system, the data modulated onto carrier frequency in order to shift spectrum from base band to another band. So we simulate system considering carrier frequency according to the number of antenna array. As a result, carrier frequency has no impact on the performance.
