So far, the evaluation of machine translation has used a numerical approach, but there is evidence that it is not sufficient to reflect the characteristics or behavior of machine translation users(Hutchins, 2007; Wu et al., 2016; Park et al., 2013). Therefore, this study focused on the purpose of use and purchasing behavior of machine translation users. At this time, the indirect comparison method introduced by Morgan and Hunt(1994) was used to measure cognitive gaps and analyze the purchasing behavior of users. According to the analysis of association rules using cognitive gaps, the smaller the cognitive gap, the more positive the purchase behavior. In addition, procedural knowledge derived from language knowledge is activated in situations involving responsibility, and in routine situations, procedural knowledge trained from pragmatic knowledge works.

Much of knowledge that can retain a company's competitive advantage remains within the organization. However, identifying, finding and leveraging knowledge in an organization is still problematic [17]. Although knowledge is the key to success, it is simply too valuable to be left in an organization [59]. The CoP (Community of Practice) within an organization is a practical way to manage knowledge in an organization as systematically as other critical assets in order to deploy and share it [59]. However, research related with CoP, has focused on the value of CoP. Therefore, we developed not only a holistic and systematic method for understanding and assessing the current position of CoP but also a method for extracting the core strategies and CSFs of CoP based on performance evaluation. We developed strategies, CSF (Critical Success Factor) and PM (Performance Measure)s of CoP based on BSC (Balanced Scorecard) process. Specifically, CSFs and strategies of CoP were extracted based on maturity model and type of CoP. According to the procedure from the methodology to evaluate the performance of CoP, three different industrial cases were adopted to validate the evaluation methodology.

The purpose of this study is to develop technology valuation system for technology transfer, which is using and supporting knowledge information. The valuation system comprises estimation of latent business profit by supporting formatted patent and technology-products market information, analysis of contribution profit by using industrial standard and innovation step and value of technology by using a real option equation. This study suggests a successful system in order to valuate the technologies quantitatively, and to use and support knowledge information from KISTI databases or other selected internet Information.

Objectives The aim of this study is to find the future perspective through analyzing the trends of acupuncture treatment for gouty arthritis (GA) by searching the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and PubMed. Methods We searched clinical studies about acupuncture treatment for GA through the searching the electronic database of CNKI and PubMed. We analyzed the characteristics of selected studies according to research design, sample size, publication year, treatment methods, evaluation criteria and adverse events. Results Twenty-nine studies published from January 1, 2015 to July 1, 2022 were selected. They consisted of 25 randomized controlled trials, 3 non-randomized controlled trials, and 1 case reports. In these studies, several types of acupuncture treatments were performed and the most treatment was conventional acupuncture treatment with fine needles. The most commonly used evaluation outcome was effective rate. Conclusions Through this result, the Chinese literature positively reported the effect of acupuncture on GA. However, high-quality evaluation by rigorous research using well-designed and more objective outcomes is required.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop online aging and health management education for undergraduate students and to evaluate its effects analyzing the differences in knowledge and attitude toward aging and the elderly. Method: An Online aging and health management education program was established through analysis, planning, content framing and production, program application, and evaluation stages. The study sample consisted of 98 undergraduate students in one university in D city. The instruments used were FAQ I for knowledge of aging and a 20 item semantic differential scale for attitude toward aging and the elderly Results: The results of this study were as follows. First, undergraduate students' knowledge level was low and attitudes were negative at the baseline. Second, after the class, knowledge scores improved significantly from 14.44 to 20.12. In addition, the attitudes toward elderly and aging changed from negative to a more positive way showing a 23.57 point difference. Conclusion: This study shows that the online aging and health management education program was an effective educational method to improve knowledge and attitude of aging for the young generation such as college students.

Recently, many of organizations build up their performance measurement system (PMS) to measure their knowledge management performance. However, the system that doesn't well reflect the organization's strategies as well as surroundings could obstruct their performance improvement, instead. Therefore, It is really important to establish the PMS to reflect organization's surroundings and strategies. The purpose of this study is to make a diagnosis of a performance measurement practice of a domestic university's knowledge management. To serve this research purpose, we examine the uptight performance index and PMS from existing references. And we diagnose the specific practices and maturity rates of measuring performances, and the recognition of the performance index at "D" university recently adopting balanced scorecard to performance evaluation through the survey on academic affairs committee members, performance evaluation committee members, and administration members. The method analyzing data from the survey is a gap analysis which includes alignment analysis, congruence analysis, consensus analysis, and confusion analysis. We make a diagnosis of performance measurement practices at "D" university, raise several points of this performance measurement system, and present the improvement plans from these problems.

The characteristic of Web 2.0 is openness, participation, share, cooperation and creation. The purpose of this article was to identify learner based knowledge creation strategy through UCC in Web 2.0, to develop UCC by university students and to make systematic UCC process. This article suggested knowledge creation strategy with UCC learning Community of Practice(CoP). UCC was developed by 25 students who registered e-learning in "P" university and conducted interview with students and experts to analyze the contents which related with research questions. Systematic process for developing educational UCC was consisted of sectors such as idea creation, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Main developing process steps were as follows: making subject$\rightarrow$seeking information$\rightarrow$selecting data$\rightarrow$designing contents$\rightarrow$making story board$\rightarrow$planning of filming$\rightarrow$filming$\rightarrow$digitalizing$\rightarrow$editing$\rightarrow$reviewing final product$\rightarrow$implementing$\rightarrow$evaluating. For learner based knowledge creation through UCC, educational institutions have to provide platform for learners' need, and learners create diverse ideas with UCC CoP. This article suggested knowledge creation strategy with sharing collective intelligence through process of UCC design, development, implement and evaluation.

This paper describes a design scheme of a system that tests or polls from the students at online class. By online test, the teacher can test the pre-knowledge level of the students and know how much students understand the lecture of the class. As the number of test increases, the burden of the preparation of setting question, evaluation of the test, and management of the test results is increased. In this environments, an online test management system make it easy to test and evaluate, and thus it would be a good tool for maintaining and managing the total procedure of the test or poll of the students. For evaluating the design of the system, we made a test system prototype and performed evaluations of the online test system. The online test and evaluation system provides a good tool for testing and evaluation of student's knowledge at the class with easy and fast way.

This study presents the alternative evaluation technique for the high-rise building structural system. The alternative evaluation of the structural system is performed in three steps, that is, preliminary evaluation, main evaluation and detailed evaluation. The evaluation categories are composed of structural performance, economic feasibility and term of work. Each categories are composed of detailed items to evaluate of its own. In preliminary evaluation, qualitative evaluation based on experimental knowledge is performed. In main and detailed evaluations, quantitative evaluations based on numeric data are performed. The weighted-sum method is applied to integrate the evaluated results of each items and its importance. The applicability of the proposed method was verified by applying it to the practical buildings and simulate the procedures.

The object of this study is to evaluate the Korean traditional food culture education program which was developed in the prior study. In order to evaluate the effect of the program on the students’ knowledge of traditional food culture and their food habit, the program was practiced for 82 students in 4 elementary schools located in Seoul and Kyungki province during 16 weeks from Mar 1, 2005 to July 23, 2005. The pretest and the post-test were performed using an evaluation tool which is composed of evaluation sections for the perception and knowledge of the Korean traditional food culture, Korean children’s food habit and food preference for the Korean traditional food and fast food. The validity of evaluation was proved through the control group in the pretest and the post-test. Descriptive analysis and paired t-test were performed using SPSS/WIN 12.0 Statistic Package in order to compare the results of the pretest with those of the post-test after the education. The perception of the students who took the class for the Korean traditional food was slightly improved (p<0.05) and their knowledge was also increased (p<0.001) after the education while no difference was found in the control group. Moreover, the subjects’ food habit (p<0.001) and their preference of the Korean traditional food (p<.05) were increased respectively but their preference of the Western fast food was decreased(p<.01). These results indicate that the education program evaluated in this study has the effect of altering the subjects’ food habit or food preference as well as of introducing the knowledge of the Korean traditional food culture.
