글쓰기 내용지식 구성의 세분화에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 대학 글쓰기교재 분석을 중심으로 - (Exploratory Study on the Specification of Content Knowledge Formation - Based on Analysis of University Writing Textbooks -)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대학 글쓰기 수업에서 내용지식으로부터 학생의 통합지식을 구성함에 있어 지식통합의 단위와 기준을 세분화하여 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 전형성 있는 대학 글쓰기 교재 세 권을 분석하고 내용지식의 구성에 대한 제시방법을 텍스트 질적 분석방법을 통해 살폈다. 분석 절차와 제시방법은 Creswell의 질적 연구에서의 나선형 분석 모델을 따랐다. 이는 자료 수집부터 분석, 제시까지 순환적으로 반복되는 자료 분석 방법이다. 이를 통해 내용지식 구성단위에는 글 전체 단위, 단락 단위, 문장 단위의 세 가지 차원이 있음을 발견하였다. 또한 내용지식 구성의 체계화된 교육을 위해서 이 세 가지 단위 차원을 모두 다루는 것이 바람직함을 제시하였다. 다음으로 지식통합의 과정별 기준과 교육내용을 제안하였다. 지식의 선별 과정에서는 논지와의 적합성과 보충성의 기준을, 지식의 조직과 통합과정에서는 통일적 통합, 모순적 통합, 배경적 통합, 종합적 통합 등의 기준과 내용을, 지식의 표현과 인용 과정에서는 정확한 표현과 표기법, 출처표시 등의 절차 지식을 제안하였다. 나아가 표현의 차원에서 일반 글쓰기 교재에서 빈번하게 연습되는 '바꿔 말하기' 과정도 '요약, 연계, 해석과 변용'이라는 세 가지 차원에서 연습될 필요가 있음을 제안하였다. 그러나 이러한 결과는 몇 차례 더 세분화의 과정을 거쳐야 대학 수준의 글쓰기 교재에 활용하기 적합하고 체계화된 지식통합의 요목들을 정련할 수 있을 것으로 보이며 이를 추후 연구의 과제로 남긴다.

Understanding Security Knowledge and National Culture: A Comparative Investigation between Korea and the U.S

  • Security has been considered one of the most critical issues for managing IT resources in many organizations. Despite a growing interest and extensive research on security at various levels, little research has focused on the comparison of security knowledge levels between different cultures. The current study investigates and compares the security knowledge level between Korea and the U.S. Based on the literature review of spyware, Hofstede's cultural dimensions, and security knowledge, this study identifies three constructs (i.e., security familiarity, spyware awareness, and spyware knowledge) to examine the difference of security knowledge levels between Korea and the U.S. Six hundred ninety-six respondents from Korea and the U.S. participated in the survey, and an in-depth analysis based on analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was carried out. The results show that the levels of security familiarity, spyware awareness, and spyware knowledge are significantly lower in Korea than in the U.S., as expected. These findings present a significant association between national culture and security knowledge, and the degree of individualism (or collectivism) plays an especially critical role in the perception of security. A number of implications for academia and practitioners emerge. Limitations and future research directions are discussed in the conclusion.

인터넷 포털 진화에서의 지식공유 (Knowledge sharing in the evolution of Internet portals)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 지식기반관점에서 인터넷 포탈에서의 지식공유 유형을 분석하는 것이다. 또한 사용자의 지식공유 행태를 고찰함으로써 인터넷 포탈의 진화과정에 대한 통찰을 얻고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 지식공여와 지식수집이라는 2가지 차원을 기반으로 지식공유 유형을 제시하고, 한국의 주요한 인터넷 포탈에 대한 사례분석을 통하여 제시한 유형을 검증하였다. 연구의 결과에서 협업, 축적 및 출판이라는 3가지 유형의 인터넷 포털 지식공유 유형이 도출되었다. 또한 사용자의 지식공유 행태는 인터넷 포탈 진화과정의 주요동인으로서 작용한다는 것을 제시하였다.

공동구매형 소셜커머스와 프라이빗 쇼핑몰을 이용하여 패션/뷰티 제품을 구매하는 소비자들의 쇼핑 가치 (Shopping Value of the Consumers Who Purchase Fashion/Beauty Products Using Group Buying Social Commerce and Private Shopping Malls)

  • This study performs an investigative research on the shopping value of consumers who purchase fashion/beauty products using group buying social commerce among the types of social commerce and private shopping malls. We provide basic knowledge on consumer behavior using social commerce newly appeared as shopping channels. For the method, the research was performed by designing a sequential integration method of conducting quantitative verification after qualitative research. As a result of qualitative research, multiple shopping values have been shown as the common shopping values of consumers using two types of shopping malls. The dimensions are price, quality, convenience, interaction, information, reliability, hedonic and impulse buying values. A total of eight sub-dimensions have appeared due to performing quantitative verification on the shopping value of group buying social commerce. The dimensions are same as the results from the qualitative research. The shopping value of consumers who purchase fashion/beauty products using private shopping malls has been classified into seven dimensions (except interaction value).

Parametric optimization of FPSO hull dimensions for Brazil field using sophisticated stability and hydrodynamic calculations

  • In this study, hull dimensions of an FPSO were optimized to maximize its operability at Brazil field. In contrast with the previous works which have used simplified models to evaluate some indicators related to stability and hydrodynamic performances of FPSOs for its own optimal design, we developed a generic hull and compartment modeler and sophisticated stability and hydrodynamic calculation modules. With the aid of the developed tools, the hull optimization was performed with initial dimensions of an FPSO originally designed for west Africa field. The optimization results indicated the relative importance of hydrodynamic performances compared with stability performances for the FPSO hull dimensioning by showing that there were 3 active constraints related to them, which were the natural periods of heave and roll and the maximum pitch angle under 1-year return period waves at full load condition. To the author's knowledge, this study is the first attempt to combine altogether the hull and compartment modeling and full set of stability and hydrodynamic calculations precisely to optimize an FPSO's hull dimensions within 30 min. Also, it is worthwhile to mention that the developed methods are generic enough to be applied to all types of ship-shaped offshore platforms.

Towards a Dynamic National System of Innovation in Malaysia : Enhancing the Management of R&D in Public Research Institutions and Universities

  • This article examines the issue of utilization of research findings from public funded research institutions (PRIs) and universities in Malaysia from the perspective of knowledge flows. Such a perspective is adapted from the literature on innovation and knowledge systems. This representation of innovation in terms of knowledge flows helps us to focus on the managerial dimensions involved in the organization of activities such as research and development (R&D). The paper reveals that there is a dismal rate of adoption of research findings generated from PRIs and universities in Malaysia. It is argued that this poor performance is a consequence of weak research management practices. A framework on the key elements of sound research management is described. The article concludes with a discussion on managerial and policy issues arising from these deficiencies and some suggestions for addressing them.

  • 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대를 예고하는 사회 변화 속에서 Bloom의 신교육목표분류학에 기초하여 2015 개정 가정과 성취기준을 분석하고 핵심역량과 지식의 연관성을 찾는데 목적을 두었으며 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지식 차원은 중학교 성취기준에서는 메타인지적 지식이, 고등학교 성취기준에서는 사실적 지식이 가장 높게 나타났으며 지식 차원의 하위유형은 구체적 사실과 요소에 대한 지식이 가장 높게 나타났다. 인지과정 차원은 중학교 성취기준에서 '적용하다', '분석하다', '평가하다', '이해하다', '창안하다'의 순으로, 고등학교 성취기준에서는 '이해하다', '평가하다', '창안하다', '적용하다', '분석하다' 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 핵심 개념별로 지식 차원과 인지과정 차원은 '발달'에서 메타인지 지식과 '이해하다', '관계'에서 개념적 지식, 메타인지적 지식과 '이해하다', '생활문화'에서 메타인지적 지식과 '적용하다', '안전'에서 절차적 지식과 '평가하다', '분석하다', '관리'에서 사실적 지식, 절차적 지식과 '적용하다', '생애설계'에서 메타인지적 지식, 사실적 지식과 '이해하다'가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 성취기준에 사용된 동사의 진술은 '탐색하다', '이해하다', '분석하다', '실천하다', '제안하다', '인식하다', '평가하다'의 순으로 나타났다. 행동 동사의 진술은 수행과정을 판단할 수 있는 기준이 되므로 교과내용 지식과 다양한 인지과정을 나타내는 성취기준에 반영되어 구체적인 역량을 성취할 수 있다. 따라서 성취기준을 통해 학습자의 수행능력의 습득에 더욱 효과적인 인지과정을 제공하고 내용요소와 기능과의 연결을 정교화하는 전략을 통해 교육의 방향성을 높이고 학습자들이 미래를 대비하는 역량을 함양해나갈 수 있도록 지원해야할 것이다.

구성원의 민첩성과 업무성과 간의 관계에 관한 실증연구: 민첩성의 영향요인과 지식지향 리더십을 중심으로 (An Empirical Study on the Relationship between Employee's Agility and Work Performance: Focused on the Agility's Influence Factors and Knowledge-Oriented Leadership)

  • Employee's agility is becoming a primary factor of improving individual work performance. Employee's agility refers to responsiveness or behavior of employees in the context of work environment change. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between employee's agility and work performance in the perspective of agility's influence factors(absorptive capacity, IT resource use, readiness to change) and knowledge-oriented leadership, A survey was conducted for gathering data (a total of 262 employees from 35 industrial organizations) to test the relationships. The results of analysis show that employee's agility is a driving force leading to individual work performance, that employee's absorptive capacity, IT resource use, readiness to change, and knowledge-oriented leadership are the significant influential factors of employee's agility, and that knowledge-oriented leadership strengthens the link between employee's absorptive capacity and agility. For theoretical and practical contributions, the research presents the grounds for arguments that employee's agility is employee's dynamic capability for individual work performance under work environment change, and that organizations trying to improve employee's agility need to explore employee's behavioral attitudes under individual, leader, and organizational dimensions. Limitations arisen in the course of the research and suggestions for future research directions are also discussed.

기업의 개방형 혁신이 혁신 생산성에 미치는 영향: 외부 지식 탐색활동을 중심으로 (The Effects of Open Innovation on Innovation Productivity: Focusing on External Knowledge Search)

  • Extant research on firm innovation productivity is limited in measuring the innovation productivity, in which they measured firm innovation productivity by using either inputs or outputs of innovation. The present study complemented the extant research by employing Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach to measure firm innovation productivity. Furthermore, this paper examined the effects of firms' external knowledge search, as one of open innovation practices, on firm innovation productivity, for open innovation activities are regarded as an influencing factor on firm innovation productivity in the previous literatures. Using the data of the Korean Innovation Survey (KIS) of manufacturing industries conducted in 2008, this study developed hypotheses in which we considered not only two dimensions of external knowledge search (breadth and depth) but also two subtypes of external knowledge search (market-driven and science-driven). The results found that searching deeply and market-driven search are positively related to firm innovation productivity, but science-driven search is somewhat negatively related to firm innovation productivity. Furthermore, market-driven search can mitigate the negative effect of science-driven search on innovation productivity.

병원간호사의 당뇨병고위험군 지식, 교육수행과 기대 (Hospital Nurses' Pre-diabetes Knowledge, Performance and Expectation of Patient Education)

  • Purpose: This study attempted to describe hospital nurses' pre-diabetes knowledge, performance and expectation of patient. Methods: The total of 204 hospital nurses were administered the questionnaires. The questionnaire comprises general background information (including sex, age, religion, education and career), ten researcher-generated questions regarding knowledge about pre-diabetes, performance of patient education (including how many people encounter in workplace, how often teaching, how many minutes required to teach and course contents) and expectation (including need improvement of teaching, barrier to education and desirable course contents and teaching methods) Results: The average score of hospital nurses' pre-diabetes knowledge was as low as 0.82 (82% correctness). On comparison of the knowledge levels among ten pre-diabetes knowledge dimensions, the highest score was 0.95 for necessary of medical check-up. The lowest score was 0.57 for complication can rarely happen. Significant correlations were observed for education, career and knowledge regarding pre-diabetes. Moreover, 49.5% of the nurses did not instruct patients about pre-diabetes, 24.5% taught prevention skills to a third of the pre-diabetes patients they encountered, and 61.2% nurses disseminated information under 5 minutes. Improvement was necessary for 78 nurses (75.8%). Conclusion: Pre-diabetes awareness among nurses is necessary.
