As the intelligent revolution triggered by digital technology, unmanned vehicles such as self-driving cars, robots, and drones appeared, which brought about innovative changes in the industry. Gyeonggi Local government has established both an ordinance and a basic plan regarding unmanned vehicles. It is time to prepare a data-based policy by understanding the current state of the unmanned vehicle industry in the province. As a result of the survey, the unmanned vehicle industry in Gyeonggi Province is 25% of the nationwide, and more than 88% is concentrated in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province. The land sector such as the robot and autonomous vehicles are focused on 71.4% and the aviation sector such as drones are 26.7%. However, unmanned vehicle companies in Gyeonggi-do are mostly small-sized businesses with less than 10 years of experience and are in the stage of introduction and growth level. They have a plan to improve technology through continuous R&D by hiring human resources. Therefore, Gyeonggi-do needs to consider policy support for sustainable growth of start-up and small enterprises and for fostering professional manpower and technical skills as well as for establishing an unmanned vehicle industry network to create, share, and spread knowledge.
This study deals with the case of student-centered discrete mathematics class with cyber lab. First, we provided lecture notes and cyber labs we developed. In particular, discrete mathematics is a course that covers the principles of algorithms. The purpose of this study is to provide students with basic mathematics, aiming to actively participate in the learning process, to improve their abilities and to reach the ultimate goal of student success with confidence. Second, based on interactions, students were able to prepare for the lectures, review, question, answer, and discussion through an usual learning management system of the school. Third, all the students generated materials through one semester, which were reported, submitted, presented and evaluated. It was possible to improve the learning effectiveness through the discussions and implementation of using some easy open source programming language and codes. Our discrete math laboratory could be practiced without any special knowledge of coding. These lecture models allow students to develop critical thinking skills while describing and presenting their learning and problem-solving processes. We share our experience and our materials including lecture note and cyber lab as well as a possible model of student-centered mathematics class that does not give too much of work load for instructors. This study shares a model that demonstrates that any professor will be able to have an individualized, customized, and creative discrete education without spending much of extra time and assistant, unlike previous research.
The purpose of this study is to develop the main subjects of the job-based curriculum by deriving the job analysis results of general security job workers in the physical protection field responsible for responding to threats to nuclear materials and nuclear facilities. In the job analysis stage, FGI was conducted on 7 content experts to derive 8 duties and 55 tasks. In addition, knowledge and skills were drawn for each task. In the analysis of educational needs, surveys were conducted for workers in general security jobs to derive the top 25 educational priorities through t-test and Borich needs assess model. At the stage of selecting core tasks and organizing required/optional contents, 42 tasks, both above average or at least one of them, were derived as core tasks based on the result of evaluation of importance and difficulty ratings of 55 tasks through a questionaire. In addition, tasks applied to the top 25 rankings derived from Borich needs assess model were applied as the required contents when designing courses, and tasks which applied only one of them were selected as optional contents. At the stage of required/optional modules and educational contents, four required modules and five optional modules were derived by drifting similar tasks between the required and optional contents. Based on the above results, the study suggested academic and practical implications and future suggestions.
This study tried to explore factors for improving academic achievement in online non-face-to-face education based on the survey results of a University's online cooperative learning Q&A. Due to the Corona situation, both professors and learners can easily feel psychological isolation due to the implementation of all non-face-to-face online classes. As one of the methods, it was intended to suggest the direction of future education to various teachers and learners by sharing class cases in which the online cooperative learning methodology was applied. Previous studies on non-face-to-face online learning, online cooperative learning, and learning promotion method were reviewed, and the online Q&A method was adopted as a specific learning promotion method to conduct research. In the Q&A process, learners were given an opportunity to check their learning content, share knowledge and communicate, and performance evaluation-related factors such as guaranteeing anonymity of the questioner and answerer, improvement points system, and absolute evaluation were asked. As a result of the survey analysis, it was found that they are the success factors of online cooperative learning. It is a small change that can be applied in practice in the future where online non-face-to-face learning is likely to continue, but by sharing meaningful cases of application of teaching methodologies, both professors and learners being motivated and actively involved in. It is expected that we will be able to suggest methods and directions for improving skills together by changing and supplementing the learning field.

This study analyzed the effectiveness of visiting reading programs for vulnerable children, focusing on the case of libraries in A-si, Gyeonggi-do. Library A utilized a visiting teacher to deliver books that matched the children's levels and interests through non-face-to-face interactions, or to engage in face-to-face reading sessions and deliver books together. In 2022, a total of 158 individuals from 103 families participated in the program, with 103 individuals from 67 families delivering books and 55 individuals from 36 families engaging in book reading activities. Pre- and post-project surveys were conducted to assess the reading effects, and interviews were conducted with the visiting teachers. The analysis revealed that the level and interest of the children during book delivery and reading sessions were identified, and the effects of reading books with high levels of interaction were significant. Infants who were able to easily acquire reading experiences according to their age exhibited better reading effects compared to elementary school students. The program aimed at the new participant group showed slightly greater effectiveness than the group of continuing participants. Furthermore, following the implementation of the program, improvements were observed in reading interest, reading attitude, reading environment, reading interaction, self-esteem, social skills, language ability, reading proficiency, self-directed learning ability, and library utilization rate.

This study emphasize the importance of founder having knowledge on detecting entrepreneurship opportunities and analyzed how the founder detects such opportunity using what process. I used people who have found and established a company on own as a survey sample. The result is like the following. First, it's found that most founders had business motivation before the establishment and used skills and knowhow from related area of business for their business establishment that led to the comparably safe business. Second, founders were highly motivated in advance of business establishment and it is found that their chance of establishment was not from the coincidence. Third, it is also found that people had pre-education on business establishment was very on purpose and those who had not had any education had a high chance of coincidence in the establishment. Fourth, it is found that higher the desire for the business achievement, more likely that the founder's business establishment was a plan. Fifth, it is found that higher the awareness of business opportunity and vision, more likely that the founder's business establishment was on plan.
This study developed training program to educate professional workers for software industry with growing importance in this area as software industry takes more parts in Korean economy. Additionally, this study developed the program based on national competency standards(NCS) using structured on the job training(S-OJT), For this study, we reviewed economic index about software industry such as economic ratio and the influx of the workforce. Also literature review for S-OJT was conducted to explore its concept for better application of the concept to the program development. In addition, this study used training program development manual suggested by Korean Department of Labor. We selected specific job which needs training program to be developed based on thorough needs analysis for a company A. Previously developed NCS and other documents were reviewed and focus group interviews were conducted to find out core knowledge and skills for the job. 44 training programs were developed and objective of each program, hours, contents and methods were also suggested. Additionally detailed program name, education system, road map and operation strategy were developed and suggested. The result of this study is expected to contribute to other industry and jobs which are facing to the development of NCS based education program by suggesting detailed stage of development process. For more animated development of education program using NCS, the effect of the program should be tested in the future. For the test, appropriate evaluation methods and measures should be developed as well.

Teachers expect team-based project learning to help students develop collaborative and real-world problem solving skills. In practice, however, students tend to solve problems with simple division of labor, and there is a tendency that learning transfer does not occur in solving problems. The purpose of this study is to develop a collaborative learning model based on the transactive memory system (TMS) and to verify its effectiveness. The collaborative learning model based on the TMS is composed of three stages. The first stage is developing TMS. In this stage, the students learn physics concepts and make knowledge about the expertise of group members through peer instruction. The second stage, activating TMS, is building trust through solving well-defined problems for developing near-transfer. And in the third stage, applying TMS, the students solve an ill-defined problem based on real-world context for practicing far-transfer. Based on this model, a 15-week program including two projects on geometric optics and sound waves was developed and applied to 60 college students. The data for five weeks of one project were collected and analyzed. As a result, the TMS of the experimental group with the TMS-based collaborative learning model improved stepwise. Whereas, the difference between the first week and the last week was statistically significant, while the TMS change of the comparison group using the general project learning model was not significant. Also, the experimental group showed that the learning transfer occurred better in the project than the comparison group. A collaborative learning model based on TMS can be used to learn how students gain synergy through collaboration and how students collaboratively transfer the learned concepts in problem solving.
This study aims to identify constructs of cultural competency specifically relevant to the Korean society and to test its reliability and validity among human service workers. For the purpose of the study, authors conducted focus group interviews and conferences with human service workers to draw the concept of cultural competency. Further, this study conducted to two separate pilot tests with 20 social workers with practice experiences in order to clarify descriptions and relevance of scale items. Based on the literature review on the concept of cultural competency and analysis of focus group interviews, 40 items were initially constructed and then were reduced to a 32-item scale after two separate pilot studies. Meantime, suggestions made by an advisory group were also reflected in the scale development process. Finally, one hundred ninety four workers in social service agencies were recruited to evaluate the relevance of the scale items in a 5 point Likert scale. Through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, 4 main factors were identified: 1) competency to use culturally relevant skills, 2) cultural awareness and sensitivity, 3) cultural knowledge, and 4) efforts to overcome cultural differences. These factors were consistent with sub-concepts of cultural competency in other studies. Confirmatory factor analysis also showed that the model fitness was at the high level and convergent analysis with the similar scale also showed high correlations. Internal consistency also remained at a high level. Based on the results, implication for social work practice and education were discussed.
Owing to increasing concern that jobseekers are wasting too much time and effort building up so-called "spec" skills to get a decent job, many companies including state-run enterprises are now hiring rookies based on their job competency rather than test scores unrelated to the job. However, universities which are mainly responsible for training professional personnel needed for various kinds of companies and factories are reluctant to adopt NCS-based educational courses. The NCS defines how much knowledge and skill are required to work in a certain industry and then evaluates them. Although the Korean government and several junior colleges have been tentatively operating the course-based qualification system at the "industrial technician" level since 2014, the results are falling far short of diverse stakeholders' expectations. Therefore, there are urgent needs to study how to develop NCS-based curriculum at the university level, and how to strengthen the linkage between work, training, and qualification.
