We propose a method for evaluating sound quality quantitatively to develop high-level home appliances (HA). Generally, a refrigerator has diverse movable parts such as slider, drawer, and folding shelf. Therefore, an engineering treatment to control the noise quality is considered as one of key technologies for a higher level refrigerator. Among the movable parts, we have selected a folding shelf as an example, which is commonly setup inside of a home refrigerator for increasing space convenience, to control the noise quality. However, it is known that its noise level is very high comparing to other movable parts when folding or unfolding actions. In order to evaluate and compare the noise quality, we have tested different eighteen models, and have suggested an impact sound quality index (ISQI) based on subjective evaluation data obtained experimentally by thirty two evaluators. The ISQI was formulated using three sound quality elements (noise peak, raising time, impact duration) to determine psycho-acoustic properties. Through this work, we developed an evaluating process and ISQI that was verified the usefulness by comparing the test results of personal perceptions given by evaluators with the prediction value of ISQI. We showed a good relations between them, so we believe that the proposed method and ISQI can be utilized to control of the noise quality of HA effectively.

Recently, social requirements of personal identification techniques are rapidly expanding in a number of new application ares. Especially fingerprint recognition is the most important technology. Fingerprint recognition technologies are well established, proven, cost and legally accepted. Therefore, it has more spot lighted among the any other biometrics technologies. In this paper we propose a new on-line fingerprint recognition algorithm for non-inked type live scanner to fit their increasing of security level under the computing environment. Fingerprint recognition system consists of two distinct structural blocks: feature extraction and feature matching. The main topic in this paper focuses on the feature matching using the fingerprint minutiae (ridge ending and bifurcation). Minutiae matching is composed in the alignment stage and matching stage. Success of optimizing the alignment stage is the key of real-time (on-line) fingerprint recognition. Proposed alignment algorithm using clique shows the strength in the search space optimization and partially incomplete image. We make our own database to get the generality. Using the traditional statistical discriminant analysis, 0.05% false acceptance rate (FAR) at 8.83% false rejection rate (FRR) in 1.55 second average matching speed on a Pentium system have been achieved. This makes it possible to construct high performance fingerprint recognition system.

The highly maneuverable fighter aircraft such as F-22, F-16 and F-15have the high maneuverability to maximize the combat performance, whereas the high maneuver characteristics might degrade the pilot's mission efficiency due to fatigue's increase by exposing him to the high gravity and, in the worst case, the pilot could face GLOC (Gravity-induced Loss Of Consciousness). The advanced aerospace company has applied the various technologies to improve the pilot's tolerance to the gravity acceleration, in order to prevent the pilot from entering the situation of the loss of consciousness. Especially, the Anti-G Suit(AGS) equipment to protect the pilot against the high gravity in flight could improve the mission success rate by decreasing the pilot's fatigue in the combat maneuver as well as prevent the pilot from facing GLOC. In this paper, a control algorithm is developed and verified to provide an optimal air pressure to AGS according to the gravity increase during the high performance maneuver. This result is expected, as the key technology, to contribute to the KF-X(Korean Fighter eXperimental), project in the near future.
As the era of space technology utilization is approaching, the launch of CAS (Compact Advanced Satellite) 500-1/2 satellites is scheduled during 2021 for acquisition of high-resolution images. Accordingly, the increase of image usability and processing efficiency has been emphasized as key design concepts of the CAS 500-1/2 ground station. In this regard, "CAS 500-1/2 Image Acquisition and Utilization Technology Development" project has been carried out to develop core technologies and processing systems for CAS 500-1/2 data collecting, processing, managing and distributing. In this paper, we introduce the results of the above project. We developed an operation system to generate precision images automatically with GCP (Ground Control Point) chip DB (Database) and DEM (Digital Elevation Model) DB over the entire Korean peninsula. We also developed the system to produce ortho-rectified images indexed to 1:5,000 map grids, and hence set a foundation for ARD (Analysis Ready Data)system. In addition, we linked various application software to the operation system and systematically produce mosaic images, DSM (Digital Surface Model)/DTM (Digital Terrain Model), spatial feature thematic map, and change detection thematic map. The major contribution of the developed system and technologies includes that precision images are to be automatically generated using GCP chip DB for the first time in Korea and the various utilization product technologies incorporated into the operation system of a satellite ground station. The developed operation system has been installed on Korea Land Observation Satellite Information Center of the NGII (National Geographic Information Institute). We expect the system to contribute greatly to the center's work and provide a standard for future ground station systems of earth observation satellites.

The need for storage, management, and retrieval techniques for alternative data has emerged as technologies based on data generated from business activities conducted by enterprises have emerged as the key to business success in recent years. Existing big data platform systems must load a large amount of data generated in real time without delay to process unstructured data, which is an alternative data, and efficiently manage storage space by utilizing a deduplication system of different storages when redundant data occurs. In this paper, we propose a multi-layer distributed data deduplication process system using the similarity of the Cuckoo hashing filter technique considering the characteristics of big data. Similarity between virtual machines is applied as Cuckoo hash, individual storage nodes can improve performance with deduplication efficiency, and multi-layer Cuckoo filter is applied to reduce processing time. Experimental results show that the proposed method shortens the processing time by 8.9% and increases the deduplication rate by 10.3%.

The thermal-hydrological-mechanical (T-H-M) behavior of rock mass surrounding a high-temperature cavern thermal energy storage (CTES) operated for a period of 30 years has been investigated by TOUGH2-FLAC3D simulator. As a fundamental study for the development of prediction and control technologies for the environmental change and rock mass behavior associated with CTES, the key concerns were focused on the hydrological-thermal multiphase flow and the consequential mechanical behavior of the surrounding rock mass, where the insulator performance was not taken into account. In the present study, we considered a large-scale cylindrical cavern at shallow depth storing thermal energy of $350^{\circ}C$. The numerical results showed that the dominant heat transfer mechanism was the conduction in rock mass, and the mechanical behavior of rock mass was influenced by thermal factor (heat) more than hydrological factor (pressure). The effective stress redistribution, displacement and surface uplift caused by heating of rock and boiling of ground-water were discussed, and the potential of shear failure was quantitatively examined. Thermal expansion of rock mass led to the ground-surface uplift on the order of a few centimeters and the development of tensile stress above the storage cavern, increasing the potential of shear failure.
Some artists and scientists in physics and animation originating from research on its form of expression thanks to the rapid development of the example in the late 20th century image production technology integrating existing media feature, perform a re-creation and pop culture content has been recognized as a key factor. animation of the modern emphasis is also commercial and artistic activities as show whether the artist can not be excluded that also target audience. The audience does not want only to receive offers simply 'seeing' and 'hearing' in the animation requires a more indirect mental met. the other side, the director should lead the audience to immerse myself in work as intended mystification induce the world. where a conflict occurs between the audience and the director and The director needs to have its troubleshooting point to 'Technology of the communication'. Which is reduced to 'How will tell,' is technology communication technologies that are abbreviated representations of animation director is accessible to the audience and it is a close relationship between the psychological aspect of audience. Because, the audience is reproduced in a limited space, but he called on the board of directors and the same time the screen, the audience located at reception and the director located at provide. It is given. led force is given to the director. for this reason, The director needs to pay attention to the psychological aspect of audience this can be explained based on psychoanalytic theory. In this paper, "How can you lie to the audience and the director is the same line?" put down logic that is the animation audience under the logic that takes place visually capture phenomenon "selective attention" and sub-concept of "goal-directed selection' and 'stimulus-driven capturel' for theory of psychology. also, Induction device to elicit selective attention of the audience accordingly, let's consider whether and how they apply in animation.

The hydraulic fracturing developed to improve permeability of tight reservoir is one of key stimulation technologies for developing unconventional resources such as shale gas and deep geothermal energy. The experimental study was conducted to improve disadvantage of hydraulic fracturing which has simple fracture pattern and poor fracturing efficiency. The fracturing experiments was conducted for tight rock using various fracturing fluids, water, N2, and CO2 and the created fracture pattern and fracturing efficiency was analyzed depending on fracturing fluids. The borehole pressure increased rapidly and then made fractures for hydraulic fracturing with constant injection rate, however, gas fracturing shows slowly increased pressure and less fracture pressure. The 3D tomography technic was used to generate images of induced fracture using hydraulic and gas fracturing. The stimulated reservoir volume (SRV) was estimated increment of 5.71% (water), 12.72% (N2), and 43.82% (CO2) respectively compared to initial pore volume. In addition, permeability measurement was carried out before and after fracturing experiments and the enhanced permeability by gas fracturing showed higher than hydraulic fracturing. The fracture conductivity was measured by increasing confining stress to consider newly creating fracture and closing induced fracture right after fracturing. When the confining stress was increased from 2MPa to 10MPa, the initial permeability was decreased by 89% (N2) and 50% (CO2) respectively. This study shows that the gas fracturing makes more permeability enhancement and less reduction of induced fracture conductivity than hydraulic fracturing.
Modern businesses are adopting new technologies to serve their markets better as well as to improve efficiency and productivity. The advertising industry has continuously experienced disruptions from the traditional channels (radio, television and print media) to new complex ones including internet, social media and mobile-based advertising. This case study focuses on proposing intelligent advertising business model in Seoul's metro network. Seoul has one of the world's busiest metro network and transports a huge number of travelers on a daily basis. The high number of travelers coupled with a well-planned metro network creates a platform where marketers can initiate engagement and interact with both customers and potential customers. In the current advertising model, advertising is on illuminated and framed posters in the stations and in-car, non-illuminated posters, and digital screens that show scheduled arrivals and departures of metros. Some stations have digital screens that show adverts but they do not have location capability. Most of the current advertising media have one key limitation: space. For posters whether illuminated or not, one space can host only one advert at a time. Empirical literatures show that there is room for improving this advertising model and eliminate the space limitation by replacing the poster adverts with digital advertising platform. This new model will not only be digital, but will also provide intelligent advertising platform that is driven by data. The digital platform will incorporate location sensing, e-commerce, and mobile platform to create new value to all stakeholders. Travel cards used in the metro will be registered and the card scanners will have a capability to capture traveler's data when travelers tap their cards. This data once analyzed will make it possible to identify different customer groups. Advertisers and marketers will then be able to target specific customer groups, customize adverts based on the targeted consumer group, and offer a wide variety of advertising formats. Format includes video, cinemagraphs, moving pictures, and animation. Different advert formats create different emotions in the customer's mind and the goal should be to use format or combination of formats that arouse the expected emotion and lead to an engagement. Combination of different formats will be more effective and this can only work in a digital platform. Adverts will be location based, ensuring that adverts will show more frequently when the metro is near the premises of an advertiser. The advertising platform will automatically detect the next station and screens inside the metro will prioritize adverts in the station where the metro will be stopping. In the mobile platform, customers who opt to receive notifications will receive them when they approach the business premises of advertiser. The mobile platform will have indoor navigation for the underground shopping malls that will allow customers to search for facilities within the mall, products they may want to buy as well as deals going on in the underground mall. To create an end-to-end solution, the mobile solution will have a capability to allow customers purchase products through their phones, get coupons for deals, and review products and shops where they have bought a product. The indoor navigation will host intelligent mobile-based advertisement and a recommendation system. The indoor navigation will have adverts such that when a customer is searching for information, the recommendation system shows adverts that are near the place traveler is searching or in the direction that the traveler is moving. These adverts will be linked to the e-commerce platform such that if a customer clicks on an advert, it leads them to the product description page. The whole system will have multi-language as well as text-to-speech capability such that both locals and tourists have no language barrier. The implications of implementing this model are varied including support for small and medium businesses operating in the underground malls, improved customer experience, new job opportunities, additional revenue to business model operator, and flexibility in advertising. The new value created will benefit all the stakeholders.
