Identifying characters who appear in a story and analyzing their relationships is essential to understanding the story. This paper aims to identify the two actants (or character roles) as Helper and Opponent in Greimas's Actantial model by identifying Subject (i.e., protagonist) and analyzing the emotional interactions between the Subject and the two actants (Helper/Opponent). Our proposed method consists of three steps. First, we identify objects (i.e., characters) appearing in the text story. Next, we extract relational information through the interaction of the characters, and then classify emotions in the text expressed as relational information. Finally, we represent the flow of emotional relations among characters as a directed graph. The node with the highest degree is considered as the Subject because it includes the most relational information. The node that sends the most positive/negative emotions to the Subject is considered as the Helper/Oppenent, respectively. Our research contributes to the computer-based narrative understanding by providing a computational method that automatically extracts the three key character roles (Subject, Helper, and Opponent) from the text story.
'Spectacles' and 'factuality' provided by computer technology are strengths of CG animation to still lure the audience and after commercial success of a number of theatrical CG animations whose typical producing companies are PIXAR and DreamWorks, were produced to be commercially successful and they win massive popularity even now. In Korea as well, several works tried to achieve a box office success including , , etc. but the result was truly miserable. In the past, this failure was often attributed to a lack of 'technical expertise', but it became clear that in the process of continuous trial and error, 'narrative' and 'images of imagination' which are bases and characteristics of animation are key elements of commercial success. Actually, statistics indicate that narrative is what is considered to be the most important by the audience when they select animation and its importance is so absolute that they say the most significant thing in animation is 'story.' In particular, it can be said that 'characters', 'situations', and 'ideas' play a key role in them which become elements of the story. This paper studied with what characteristics each animation aroused pleasure and fun focused on characters, situations and images in relation to , , and which are American theatrical CG animation films which succeeded in gaining popularity home and abroad. We hope that analysis in this paper will be helpful even just a little bit as a reference material, which allows domestic writers and producers to develop familiar and characteristic works based on imagination and creativity expressing each work's unique personality and characteristics.
Morphological characters of aggregated achenes, and achene and its epidermal microstructures were observed for 7 taxa belonging to the section Adonanthe of subgenus Adonanthe [A. amurensis Regel et Radde, A. bobroviana Sim., A. davidii Franch., A. multiflora Nishikawa et Ko. Ito, A. pseudoamurensis W. T. Wang, A. ramosa Franch. and A. tianschanica (Adolf) Lipsch. ex Bobrov] and for 1 taxon belonging to the section Lophocarpa of subgenus Adonis (A. aestivalis var. parviflora M. Bieb.). The morphological characters such as shape of aggregated achenes, length of aggregated achenes, shape of achene, and recurved type of persistent style were useful in the classification of the subgenera Adonanthe and Adonis, and each species of the series under section Adonanthe. Epidermal microstructures of achene were grouped into three types according to the presence of microwrinkles and their arranged patterns. These microwrinkles were absent in A. amurensis, were of parallel type in A. bobroviana, A. pseudoamurensis, A. ramosa, and A. aestivalis var. parviflora, and were of parallelperpendicular mixed type in A. davidii, A. multiflora, and A. tianschanica. Also, a new key to them was made using morphological characters of their aggregated achenes and achene.
Glomerella leaf spot pathogens can infect apple leaves, causing extensive necrosis and premature defoliation, as well as necrotic spots on fruit. In recent years, the disease has been reported with increasing frequency in China, and appears to be spreading rapidly in some apple-producing areas. In this study, fungal isolates from diseased apples leaves collected in Henan and Shaanxi provinces were analyzed based on morphology, cultural characters, pathogenicity and molecular phylogenetics. It was found that Glomerella leaf spot of apple was caused by two pathogens, Colletotrichum fructicola and C. aenigma. Pathogenicity tests showed that C. fructicola and C. aenigma could infect apple leaves of cultivar Golden Delicious, as well as Gala, Qinguan, Pink Lady, Pacific Rose, Golden Century and Honeycrisp, all of which include Golden Delicious in their parentage. In wound inoculation experiments, C. fructicola and C. aenigma were pathogenic to fruit of Gala, Qinguan, Golden Delicious, Pacific Rose, Starkrimson and Fuji. With non-wounded fruit, C. fructicola was pathogenic to Gala and Golden Delicious, and C. aenigma was pathogenic to Gala. It is concluded that the two pathogens could be differentiated according to pathogenicity to leaves and fruits of different apple cultivars.
Despite the opinion that certificate is useless, half of the population in Korea (approx. 35 million) get an certificate, and use it for internet banking, internet shopping, stock trading, and so on. Most users store their certificates on a usb memory or smartphone, and certificates or passwords stored on such storage media can be easily attacked and used to disguise as legitimate users. Due to these security problem of certificate, a various authentication technologies has been proposed such as smartphone owner authentication using SMS, and a personal authentication using biometric authentication. However, a safe technique is not presented yet without user password, and certificate. In this paper, I proposed a method to secure certificate/private key without a user password using a combination of USIM card and smartphone's information. Even if a hacker gets the user password, the certificate, and the private key, he can not use the certificate. User do not need to remember complex password which is a combination of alphabetic / numeric / special characters, and use his certificate safely.
An endoxylanase gene (PoxynA) that belongs to the glycoside hydrolase (GH) family 11 was cloned from a xylanolytic strain, Penicillium oxalicum B3-11(2). PoxynA was overexpressed in Trichoderma reesei QM9414 by using a constitutive strong promoter of the encoding pyruvate decarboxylase (pdc). The high extracellular xylanase activities in the fermentation liquid of the transformants were maintained 29~35-fold higher compared with the wild strain. The recombinant POXYNA was purified to homogeneity, and its characters were analyzed. Its optimal temperature and pH value were $50^{\circ}C$ and 5.0, respectively. The enzyme was stable at a pH range of 2.0 to 7.0. Using beechwood as the substrate, POXYNA had a high specific activity of $1,856{\pm}53.5$ IU/mg. In the presence of metal ions, such as $Cu^{2+}$, and $Mg^{2+}$, the activity of the enzyme increased. However, strong inhibition of the enzyme activity was observed in the presence of $Mn^{2+}$ and $Fe^{2+}$. The recombinant POXYNA hydrolyzed birchwood xylan, beechwood xylan, and oat spelt xylan to produce short-chain xylooligosaccharides, xylopentaose, xylotriose, and xylobiose as the main products. This is the first report on the expression properties of a recombinant endoxylanase gene from Penicillium oxalicum. The properties of this endoxylanase make it promising for applications in the food and feed industries.
Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the performance and usability of ten-finger text entry on Tablet PCs. Background: Generally a soft keyboard is used on Tablet PCs. However, the soft keyboard's performance is usually worse than physical keyboard's performance. In this study, we proposed a modified keyboard for tablet PCs to improve the performance of ten-finger text entry and evaluated the performance and subjective ratings of the keyboard. Method: The modified soft keyboard that is suggested in this study was compared with current Google and Samsung soft keyboards on Tablet PCs. Results: The three keyboards were not significantly different in terms of typing speed, error rate, and mental workload and showed bad performance. Also, the subjective ratings were not shown positively. Conclusion: Based on our results, ten-finger text entry using soft keyboards on Tablet PCs seems to be very difficult. However, we need to research the possibility continuously since ten-finger text entry can improve typing speed. Application: Our study can be a starting point of research that explores ten-finger text entry on Tablet PCs. The new soft keyboard design can be one of the soft keyboard alternatives. However, the key factors to improve the performance and usability of the soft keyboard will not be 'key size' or 'convenience to typing special characters or numbers', but other factors (e.g., 'tactile feedback').

The purpose of this study was to suggest the earth science lesson model based on the creativity character education. To conduct this study, the curriculum revision in 2009 was analyzed by the causal mapping method. One after another, the creativity character education and earth system education were analyzed by the same method. Through as mentioned above, the key words which have relating concepts each other were picked out. Lastly, the key words were connected and compounded for the earth science lesson model based on the creativity character education. The model indicates that the earth science lesson based on the creativity character education requires the reconstructs of the processing and contents of the lesson. In other words, the teaching/learning must be progressed as corresponding between scientific facts and mental recognition, scientific concepts and compounding thinking skill, scientific laws and reconstructing thinking skill. In contents were reconstructed as relating to knowledge, creativity, characters and guidance counseling. The results of this study suggested the earth science lesson model based on the creativity character education needs developing and applying teaching/learning materials and managing discussing and cooperative learning.
The first zoeal stage of Heptacarpus rectirostris (Stimpson, 1860) is re-described and illustrated in detail from laboratory-hatched material. The first zoea of H. rectirostris is more closely related to that of H. futilirostris than to H. camtschaticus, H. pandaloides, and H. geniculatus by having the pterygostomial spine and two anteroventral denticles on the carapace. The former two species, however, can be readily distinguished by the presence (H. futilirostris) or absence (H. rectirostris) of the posterolateral spine on the abdominal somites 4-5. A provisional key to the first zoeas of Heptacarpus for which larval studies are known from Korea and adjacent waters is provided. A list of larval descriptions within the Hippolytidae from Korea and adjacent waters is also included.
For investigation of the species diversity of the Genus Crepidotus in Korea and constructing a key to Korean Crepidotus species, a total of 65 specimens, collected from 18 locations from 1982 to 2002, were observed for morphological characters of carpophores and other features. All the specimens have been preserved in the herbarium of the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, R.D.A., Suwon, Korea. The specimens were identified according to the classification systems given by Hesler and Smith(1965), Nordstein(1990), Orton(1960), Pilat(1948), Senn-Irlet(1991, 1992, 1993) and Singer(1951, 1973, 1986). In this study, a total of 10 Crepidotus species were confirmed. Among them, Korean common names were designated to six unrecorded species as follows: C. uber, "끈적귀버섯"; C. hygrophanus, "곤약귀버섯"; C. latifolius, "꼬마무리귀버섯"; C. obscurus, "먼지귀버섯"; C. subverrucisporus, "분홍주름귀버섯"; and C. circinatus, "노란고리귀버섯". A key to 10 Crepidotus species has been constructed.
