  • The class $\mathcal{W}^{\delta}_{\beta}({\alpha},{\gamma})$ defined in the domain ${\mid}z{\mid}$ < 1 satisfying $Re\;e^{i{\phi}}\((1-{\alpha}+2{\gamma})(f/z)^{\delta}+\({\alpha}-3{\gamma}+{\gamma}\[1-1/{\delta})(zf^{\prime}/f)+1/{\delta}\(1+zf^{\prime\prime}/f^{\prime}\)\]\)(f/z)^{\delta}(zf^{\prime}/f)-{\beta}\)$ > 0, with the conditions ${\alpha}{\geq}0$, ${\beta}$ < 1, ${\gamma}{\geq}0$, ${\delta}$ > 0 and ${\phi}{\in}{\mathbb{R}}$ generalizes a particular case of the largest subclass of univalent functions, namely the class of $Bazilevi{\check{c}}$ functions. Moreover, for 0 < ${\delta}{\leq}{\frac{1}{(1-{\zeta})}}$, $0{\leq}{\zeta}$ < 1, the class $C_{\delta}({\zeta})$ be the subclass of normalized analytic functions such that $Re(1/{\delta}(1+zf^{\prime\prime}/f^{\prime})+1-1/{\delta})(zf^{\prime}/f))$ > ${\zeta}$, ${\mid}z{\mid}$<1. In the present work, the sucient conditions on ${\lambda}(t)$ are investigated, so that the non-linear integral transform $V^{\delta}_{\lambda}(f)(z)=\({\large{\int}_{0}^{1}}{\lambda}(t)(f(tz)/t)^{\delta}dt\)^{1/{\delta}}$, ${\mid}z{\mid}$ < 1, carries the fuctions from $\mathcal{W}^{\delta}_{\beta}({\alpha},{\gamma})$ into $C_{\delta}({\zeta})$. Several interesting applications are provided for special choices of ${\lambda}(t)$. These results are useful in the attempt to generalize the two most important extremal problems in this direction using duality techniques and provide scope for further research.

  • In this present paper, our aim is to introduce an extended Wright-Bessel function $J^{{\lambda},{\gamma},c}_{{\alpha},q}(z)$ which is established with the help of the extended beta function. Also, we investigate certain integral transforms and generalized integration formulas for the newly defined extended Wright-Bessel function $J^{{\lambda},{\gamma},c}_{{\alpha},q}(z)$ and the obtained results are expressed in terms of Fox-Wright function. Some interesting special cases involving an extended Mittag-Leffler functions are deduced.

  • Very recently, Srivastava et al. [8] introduced an extension of the Pochhammer symbol and used it to define a generalization of the generalized hypergeometric functions. In this paper, by using the generalized Pochhammer symbol, we extend the generalized Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta function by Goyal and Laddha [6] and investigate some interesting properties which include various integral representations, Mellin transforms, differential formula and generating function. Some interesting special cases of our main results are also considered.

  • In the present paper, we obtain two new and interesting finite summation formulae for the H-function of two variables in a very neat and elegant form. The novel feature of the paper is that the method used here in deriving these formulae is simple and direct and does not impose heavy restrictions on the parameters involved. On account of the most general nature of the H-function of two variables, a number of related finite summation formulae for a number of other useful functions can also be obtained as special cases of our results. As an illustration, we have obtained here from our main results, the corresponding finite summation formulae for $Kamp{\acute{e}}$ de $F{\acute{e}}riet$ function. Appell's function and Gauss' hypergeometric function which are also believed to be new.

  • Thin films easily wrinkle under compressive loading due to their small bending stiffness resulting from their tiny thickness. For a thin film deposited on a functionally graded substrate with non-uniform stiffness exponentially changes along the length span in this paper, the uniaxial wrinkling problem is solved analytically in terms of hyper-Bessel functions. For infinite, semi-infinite and finite length systems the wrinkling load and wrinkling wavenumber are determined and compared with those in literature. In comparison with a homogeneous substrate-bounded film in which the wrinkling pattern is uniform along the length span, for a functionally graded substrate-film system the wrinkles accumulate around the softer location of the functionally graded substrate. Therefore, the effective length of the film influenced by the wrinkles decreases, the amplitude of the wrinkles on softer regions of the functionally graded substrate grows and the wrinkling load of the functionally graded substrates with higher softening rate decreases more. The results of the current research are expected to be useful in science and technology of thin films and wrinkling of the structures especially living tissues.

  • Using the extended generalized integral transform given by Luo et al. [6], we introduce some new generalized integral transforms to investigate such their (potentially) useful properties as inversion formulas and Parseval-Goldstein type relations. Classical integral transforms including (for example) Laplace, Stieltjes, and Widder-Potential transforms are seen to follow as special cases of the newly-introduced integral transforms.
