Implementation of Pseudo Golf Club and Virtual Golf Simulation System

  • In this study, we propose a pseudo golf club which can sense user's swing motion and virtual golf simulation system using the pseudo golf club. The proposed system is a virtual golf simulation system of a complex play type in which a player can enjoy various types of golf play according to the user's taste by providing a play mode for hitting an actual golf ball and a play mode for swinging the pseudo golf club. This virtual golf play system calculates and displays the trajectory of a golf ball by a simulator just like playing a real golf, and suggests suitable swing motion, so it helps users to learn golf easily.

Assessment of Student Perceptions of a Lecture Club on a Social Networking Website

  • Efforts were made to improve the efficiency of college education through the use of information technology. This paper investigates student perceptions of a lecture club provided on a social networking website. For the empirical study, the instructor ran a lecture club for two consecutive semesters on Cyworld (www.cyworld.co.kr), a popular website among Korean youth. The research subjects were students enrolled in a Popular Culture & Fashion class. A questionnaire was distributed on the last day of the lectures. After excluding students with perfunctory responses and those who did not sign up for the community website, a total number of 297 questionnaires were used for analysis. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, one-way ANOVA analysis, Duncan test, and t-test were carried out, with the SPSS for Windows 12.0 being used for statistical analysis. The findings show that most students subscribed to the website and responded with a favorable attitude that the lecture club was helpful.

Exploring K-League Club's YouTube Channel: Focusing on Seoul E-Land Football Club

  • Soccer is one of the popular sports globally, and South Korea is no exception; the professional domestic soccer tournament has been held in South Korea since 1983. The national soccer team in South Korea has shown outstanding performances, hosting the 2002 World Cup and achieving a bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games and second place at the 2019 U-20 World Cup. In addition, one of the South Korean soccer players, Heung-min Son, has played a remarkable role in the English Premier League. Like other global soccer clubs, South Korean domestic soccer clubs create and manage their own YouTube channel to interact with fans and keep them updated. In this study, we explore how and why Seoul E-Land Football Club (SEFC) utilizes its YouTube channel. SEFC is distinctive in that they are playing at the second division, their home ground is based in Seoul, and they are sponsored by a company run on Christian values. We analyze one of the soccer club's YouTube channels multi-dimensionally and discover the roles of YouTube.

  • This paper introduces the Tokushima Robot Programming Club. This is a robot manufacturing class for elementary and junior-high school students. This club is planned and managed by university students. First, we show the organization of our club. And, robot kits and software development systems we use are introduced. And then, we describe the activities of this club and show its educational effectiveness for both the children and the university students.

절주동아리 활동이 대학생의 음주, 건강 및 식습관에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Temperance Club Activities on Drinking, Health, and Food Habits of College Student)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대학생을 대상으로 절주동아리 활동 전·후 음주관련 요소, 건강관련 요소, 그리고 식습관을 조사하였다. 절주동아리에 참여한 97명의 대학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 결과는 한 번에 마시는 알코올 섭취량(p<.05)과 한 달 평균 음주지출 비용(p<.05)은 절주동아리 활동 전 절주동아리 활동 후에 유의적으로(p<.05) 낮게 나타났다. 음주 지식(p<.05), 건강관련요소 중 '건강에 대한 관심도(p<.05)'와 '건강상태(p<.05)' 그리고 '운동시간(p<.05)'는 절주동아리 활동 후 유의적으로 높게 나타났다. 식습관에 대한 합계 점수는 (46.0 대 48.8, p<.01) 절주동아리 활동 후 유의적으로 높게 나타났다. '하루에 세끼 모두 식사를 한다'(p<.01), '정크 푸드를 자주먹지 않는다', 그리고 '외식을 자주하지 않는다'(p<.05)로, 절주동아리 활동 후 유의적으로 높게 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과에서 절주동아리 활동 후 음주, 건강, 그리고 식습관이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다.

클럽의 길이 변화에 따른 골프 스윙의 지면반력 변화 (Changes of Ground Reaction Forces by the Change of Club Length in Golf Swing)

  • Proper weight shifting is essential for a successful shot in golf swing and this could be described by means of the ground forces between the feet and ground. It is assumed that the ground forces would different according to the club used because the length and swing weight of each club is different. But, in present, it is not clear what changes are made by the change of clubs and this affect the swing motion. Therefore this study focused on the investigation of the changes of the ground forces and ground reaction forces (GRF) by the change of club length. The subjects were three professional male golfers. Four swings (driver, iron 3, iron 5, and iron 7) for each subject were taken by two high speed video cameras and two AMTI force platforms were used to measure the GRF simultaneously. Kwon GRF 2.0 and Mathcad 13 software were used to post processing the data. Changes of the three major component of GRF (Vertical, lateral, anterior-posterior force) at 10 predefined events were analyzed including the maximum. Major findings of this study were as follows. 1. Vertical forces; - There were no significant changes until the top of backswing. - Maximum was occurred at the club horizontal position in the downswing for both feet. The shorter club produced more maximum forces than longer ones in the left foot, but reverse were true for the right foot. - Maximum forces at impact shows the same patterns. 2. Lateral forces; Maximum was occurred at the club horizontal position for both feet, but there were no lateral forces because the direction of two forces was different. Maximum force pattern by different clubs was same as the vertical component. 3. Anterior-posterior forces; - This component made a counter-clock wise moment about a vertical axis located between two foot until the club vertical position was reached during the backswing, and reverse moment were produced when the club reached horizontal at the downswing. - Also this component made a forward moment about a horizontal axis located in the CG during the fore half of the downswing, and a reverse moment until the club reached vertical at the follow through phase. Maximum was occurred at the club vertical in the downswing for both feet. The longer club produced more maximum forces than shorter ones for both feet.

High conservative nonlinear vibration equations by means of energy balance method

  • This paper presents He's Energy Balance Method (EBM) for solving nonlinear oscillatory differential equations. Three strong nonlinear cases have been studied analytically. Analytical results of the EBM are compared with numerical solutions using Runge-Kutta's algorithm. The effects of different important parameters on the nonlinear response of the systems are studied. The results show the presented method is potentially to solve high nonlinear vibration equations.

클럽 샤프트(Club Shaft) 특성에 따른 골프 스윙(Golf Swing)동작 분석 (Analysis of golf swing motion for specific properties of club shaft)

  • 본 연구는 클럽 샤프트의 대표적인 재질인 그라파이트(graphite)의 유연한(flexible) 클럽 샤프트(club shaft)의 특성에 따라 피험자가 운동학적(kinematics) 요인이 되는 관절의 각변위, 각속도, 각가속도, 클럽헤드의 속도와 가속도와 같은 변인들이 어떻게 적응하는지 비교 분석하여 보다 효율적인 드라이버 선택에 도움을 주며 샤프트 특성에 따른 신체관절의 움직임에 대한 자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 고속 카메라 2대의 속도는 500 fps로 하였고 각 regular,stiff, x-stiff, 자신의 클럽을 포함 각 4개의 클럽을 사용하여 각 클럽당 3번씩 촬영하였으며 목표방향에서 20m이상 벗어나는 경우의 촬영은 다시 촬영하였다. 본 연구에서는 디지타이징(digitizing)을 신체 9개 마커는 강체로 가정된 클럽과 신체분절 모델로 정의하였으며 2 대의 카메라(500fps)로부터 얻은 avi화일을 컴퓨터에 저장하고 자료로부터 Butterworth 6th order recursive digital filter를 사용하여 1차 자료를 smoothing 하고 DLT를 이용하여 3차원 좌표를 구성하도록 한다. 좌표값을 얻기 위하여 kwon3d v3.0을 이용하였다. 본 실험은 피험자 스스로 클럽의 특성에 따라 스윙의 속도를 달리 하기 때문에 스윙의 시간이 달라지며 어느 정도 클럽이 강성에 따라 스윙시간이 빨라지는 결과로 나타났다. 이것은 피험자가 샤프트가 강성(stiffness)에 따라 스윙 속도를 빨리 하게 되는 원인이 되는 것으로 생각된다. 어깨의 각변위는 클럽이 regular의 경우 임팩트에서 각속도를 계속 유지하고 있으며 stiff, x-stiff의 경우에는 어깨의 움직임이 임팩트에서 급격하게 감소되는 것을 알 수 있다. 이것은 팔의 동작과 클럽의 힘을 크게 하기 위한 동작으로 생각된다. 어깨 각속도는 클럽이 stiff할수록 각속도가 큰 감속하는 것으로 나타났다. 손목속도는 regular 클럽의 경우 손목의 감속이 늦게 되고 임팩트에서 손목의 감속이 적게 하는 것으로 나타났으며 stiff와 x-stiff의 클럽에서 임팩트 시에 순간적인 감가속으로 인해 클럽의 속도를 증가시키고 있다. 임팩트 시에 손목의 감가속은 클럽헤드의 임팩트 시 속도를 증가시키는 결과를 보였다. 클럽헤드는 regular 클럽이 임팩트전에는 속도 증가가 커지는 결과와 일치된 결과를 보이고 있다.

과학중점 고등학교에서의 SW동아리 활동 실태 조사 (A Survey on SW Club Activities in Science Core High Schools)

  • 본 연구에서는 학교정보공시를 활용하여 과학중점 고등학교에서의 SW동아리 활동 실태를 분석하였다. 전국의 103개 과학중점 고등학교를 대상으로 SW동아리에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하였으며, 학교교육계획서, 학교특색사업계획서, 과학중점학교 운영보고서를 통해 SW동아리 활동 실태를 분석하였다. 동아리 참여율에 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 것은 정보교과의 편성이므로 교육과정 개편이 가장 시급한 것으로 판단된다. 또한 SW관련 비교과활동 및 예산지원은 정(+)적 영향을 미치고 있었고, 고등학교가 소재한 지역의 사회 경제적 배경을 반영하기 위해 사용한 학비지원율은 부(-)적 영향을 미치고 있었다. 그러나 고등학교의 전반적인 학력 수준을 파악하기 위한 학업성취도는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 따라서 가능한 많은 학생들이 SW관련 비교과활동을 할 수 있도록 지원하되, 이를 위해서는 지역 및 학교의 특성을 반영한 프로그램 개발 및 예산지원이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

지역사회기관과의 연계 활동을 목적으로 한 초·중학교 지속가능발전교육 동아리 프로그램 분석 (Analyzing the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Club Programs Connecting with the Local Communities' Organizations in Elementary and Middle Schools)

  • This study is to analyze the local community-connected Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) programs that 17 clubs' students and teachers developed and implemented for their ESD club activities in elementary and middle schools. For this study, ESD elements in the programs are analyzed and the way of connection between the local communities' organizations and the ESD clubs is inquired. The process of ESD club activities is also analyzed and the change of students after the local community-connected ESD club activities is examined. Finally, the way of dissemination to local communities after ESD club activities is inquired. This study is to contribute to the practice of the local community-connected ESD in a way that develops core competencies in elementary and middle school students that will allow them to build a sustainable future in local communities.
