Raman Frequencies Calculated at Various Pressures in Phase I of Benzene

  • We calculate in this study the pressure dependence of the frequencies for the Raman modes of A ($A_g$), B ($A_g$, $B_{2g}$) and C ($B_{1g}$, $B_{3g}$) at constant temperatures of 274 and 294K (room temperature) for the solid phase I of benzene. Using the mode Gr$\ddot{u}$neisen parameter of each lattice mode, which correlates the pressure dependence of the crystal volume and the frequency, the Raman frequencies of those modes are computed for phase I of benzene. Our results show that the Raman frequencies of the three lattice modes (A, B and C) increase as the pressure increases, as expected. The temperature effect on the Raman frequencies is not significant, which can be explained by the experimental measurements.

범주형 데이터의 분류를 위한 퍼지 군집화 기법 (A Fuzzy Clustering Algorithm for Clustering Categorical Data)

  • 본 논문에서는 범주형 데이터의 분류를 위한 새로운 기법을 제시한다. 기존의 대표적인 퍼지 군집화 방법인 k-modes 알고리즘과 fuzzy k-modes 알고리즘은 군집의 중심을 단일 값으로 표현하고, 군집에 속하는 데이터의 빈도 수에 기반한 중신 갱신 기법을 사용하였다. 이와 같은 기존의 방법들은 분류의 경계가 모호한 데이트를 군집화할 경우, 알고리즘의 각 단계에서 발생하는 분류의 에러를 보정하지 못해 최종적으로 지역해에 빠지는 단점이 있다. 이를 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 군집 중심을 퍼지 집합을 이용하여 정의한다. 퍼지 군집 중심은 주어진 데이터와 군집간의 거리 관계를 퍼지 값을 이용해 표현하며, 각 군집의 중심은 데이터의 소속 정도 값을 이용해 갱신된다. 이와 같은 퍼지 중심 표현기법을 도입하여 범주형 데이터의 분류 시에 보다 세밀한 결정을 내림으로써, 인접한 군집들의 경계에서 발생하는 불확실성을 최소화한다. 기존의 대표적인 방법들과의 비교실험을 수행함으로써 제안한 방법의 성능을 검증하였다.

Beam Splitting by the Use of Waveguide Airy Beams

  • Here we report Airy beams coupled with waveguide modes. These waveguide Airy (WAiry) beams propagate through layered planar structures inheriting the characteristics of waveguide modes as well as those of Airy beams, such as diffraction-free and accelerating features. In particular, we focus on the WAiry beams associated with backward waveguide modes, showing that the backward feature can alter the trajectories of the WAiry beams significantly. Based on this, we propose a new scheme of waveguide-type polarization/power beam splitters.

Oscillatory modes generated by Hopf bifurcations in coupled four oscillators

  • We examine the oscillatory modes generated by the Hopf bifurcations of non-origin equilibrium points in the four-coupled oscillator system. The Hopf bifurcations of the equilibrium points and the generated oscillatory modes are classified. By numerical bifurcation analysis we observe various interesting synchronized states caused by symmetry-breaking bifurcations.

  • To develop operation scenarios of KT-2 tokamak, 3 operation modes(OH, high ${\beta}$ and high bootstrap) deduced from zero dimensional steady-state power balance are examined with TSC(Tokamak Simulation Code) time-dependent transport .ode. Plasma profiles are evaluated self consistently during simulations and plasma shapes are maintained by feedback control on PF coil currents. Simulations show operation modes which are typical of KT-2 expected discharges are compatible with the KT-2 PF system design specifications[1].

LSTM 모델 기반 주행 모드 인식을 통한 자율 주행에 관한 연구 (Automated Vehicle Research by Recognizing Maneuvering Modes using LSTM Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 운전자 별로 생활 중에 이동하는 주행 도로의 특징 및 교통상황이 서로 다르며 운전습관이 상이함을 고려하여, 운전자 혹은 운전자 그룹별 기계학습모형을 구성하고, 학습된 모델을 분석하여 운전자의 주행모드 별 특징을 탐색하여 자율 주행 자동차를 시뮬레이션 하였다. 운전지식을 활용하여 주행조작 전후 센서의 동작 상황에 따라 8종류의 종방향 모드와 4종류 회전모드로 구분하고, 종방향 모드와 회전모드를 결합한 21개의 결합형 주행모드로 세분화 하였다. 주행모드가 레이블 된 시계열 데이터에 대해 딥러닝 지도학습 모델인 RNN (Recurrent Neural Network), LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory), Bi-LSTM 모델을 활용하여서 운전자 별 혹은 운전자 그룹별 주행데이터를 학습하고, 학습된 모델을 테스트 데이터 셋에서 주행 모드인식률을 검증하였다. 실험 데이터는 미국 VTTI 기관에서 수집된 22명의 운전자의 1,500개의 실생활 주행 데이터가 사용되었다. 주행 모드 인식에 있어, 데이터 셋에 대해 Bi-LSTM 모델이 RNN, LSTM 모델에 비해 향상된 성능을 보였으며, 최대 93.41%의 주행모드 인식률을 확인하였다.

변형형상에 따른 정규압밀 점성토의 압밀계수 변화 (The Influence of Deformation Modes on the Coefficient of Consolidation in the Normally Consolidated Clay)

  • Consolidation tests under various deformation modes were performed to investigate the effect of deformation modes on the coefficient of consolidation in the normally consolidated clay in remolded and undisturbed clay. The degree of soil anisotropy was evaluated using cross-anisotropic elasticity theory suggested by Graham et al.(1983). Experimental results showed that the vertical compressibility was larger than the horizontal compressibility by $12{\sim}21%$ for the remolded clay and by $23{\sim}60%$ for the undisturbed clay, respectively. The results of a series of consolidation tests under the specific deformation modes showed that the coefficient of consolidation under 1 dimensional vertical strain condition was larger than that under 3 dimensional strain condition due to different deformation mode. Furthermore, the coefficient of consolidation under 1 dimensional vertical strain condition was larger than that under 1 dimensional horizontal strain condition by $40{\sim}60%$ in undisturbed clay, which clearly emphasized the significant effect of soil anisotropy on the rate of consolidation. Consequently, it can be concluded that the anisotropic deformation modes of soils, especially naturally deposited clays, should be taken into account for more accurate evaluation of the coefficient of consolidation.

임의의 입ㆍ출구 위치를 가지는 소음기 해석을 위한 개선된 모드일치법 (Modified Mode Matching Technique for Analyzing Simple Expansion Chamber with Arbitrary Inlet/Outlet Location)

  • The acoustic property of reactive type single expansion chamber can be analyzed by traditional plane wave theory. This theory can be applied in low frequency range and has good performance. But this theory can't include higher order modes, therefore another method is essential to analyze acoustic filter in high frequency range. Many researcher suggested the method that can concern higher order modes, and their methods are using mode matching technique. But there is no method that can be applied to the analysis of single expansion chamber with arbitrary inlet/outlet duct position and numbers of higher order modes of inlet/outlet duct and middle chamber. In this paper, the method which can analyze single expansion chamber with arbitrary inlet/outlet duct position and numbers of higher order modes of inlet/outlet duct and middle chamber using fundamental mode matching technique, was suggested and the predictions by this method was compared with those by the finite element method, and the influence of inlet/outlet location to acoustic performance of single expansion chamber is investigated and explained by higher order mode effects.

Analysis of an Active Superconducting Current Controller (ASCC) Considering the Transient Stability and OCR Operation in Transmission and Distribution Systems

  • The Active Superconducting Current Controller (ASCC) is a new type of Superconducting Fault Current Limiters (SFCL) which can limit the fault current in different modes. It also has the particular abilities of compensating active and reactive powers for electrical networks. In this paper, it is confirmed that the performance of ASCC in different operating modes introduces a limiting impedance in series with the network which can even degrade the transient stability and the operation of the Over-Current Relays (OCR) employed in a power system. In addition, the model of a three-phase ASCC is simulated, and the effect of descriptive modes on the current limiting level is investigated. For the transient stability analysis, a single machine-infinite bus system is tested, and the effect of operation modes is studied based on an equal area criterion obtaining the critical time and the critical angle. Modifying the setting parameters of OCR such as time dial and pick-up current, the protective coordination is also studied in different operating modes.

자동차 오염물질 배출계수 산정을 위한 CVS-75모드와 국내차속모드의 상관성 비교 연구 (Comparison of Correlation between CVS-75 Mode and Korea Mode to Estimate Emission Factors from Vehicles)

  • In Korea, the major source of serious air pollution is motor vehicles. Air pollution from vehicles has been annually increased. Then the government will try to control the vehicle emission by applying the effective emission management policy for the manufactured and in-used car. It is necessary to correctly calculate the emission factor for successful propulsion of the vehicle emission control policy. In this study, correlation analysis of exhaust emissions from vehicles between CVS-75 mode and Korea mode was conducted. A total of 25 light-duty buses were tested on the chassis dynamometer system in order to measure CO, HC, NOx PM and fuel efficiency (F.E.). For the test modes, 10 different Korea modes and CVS-75 mode were used. As the result of correlation analysis between those modes, most of the correlation coefficients were higher than 0.90. On the basis of high correlation between those modes, correction factors by driving conditions were estimated. Through the results of this study, we obtained essential basic data to correct difference from those modes.
