This study was conducted to identify the ethical values of clinical nurses. 119 nurses working in clinical setting were selected Gwangju city and Chunnam area. Data were gathered from April. 1 to June. 27, 2001 by structured questionares. Analysis of data was done by SPSS using percentage, t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson's correlation. The results obtained from data were as follows : 1. The ethical values of human life area slightly took up the position of utilitarian. In human life area mean score was 2.41. This area showed remarkerble individual differences between utilitarian and deontological position. 2. The ethical values of clients area took up the position of utilitarian position. In clients area mean score was 1.75. 3. The ethical values of nursing practice area took up deontological position. In nursing practice area mean score was 2.58. 4. The ethical values of nurses-co-worker area took up deontological position. In nurses- co-worker area mean score was 2.94. 5. Those who have younger, higher education level, less job experience, singles, religion, lower position, positive attitude of nursing and firm ethical standard took up more deontological position than those who have not. 6. There were significant relationship between human life area & client area(r=.566 p=.000), nursing practice area(r=.698 p=.000). There were significant relationship between client area & nursing practice area(r=.342 p=.001). There were significant relationship between nursing practice area & nurses-co-worker area(r=.491 p=.001).

The welding automation in ship manufacturing process,especially in the sub-assembly line is considered to be a difficult job because the welding part is too huge, various, unstructured for a welding robot to weld fully automatically. The weld orocess at the sub-assembly line for ship manufacturing is to joint the various stiffener on the base panel. In order to realize automatic robot weld in sub-assembly line, robot have to equip with the sensing system to recognize the position of the parts. In this research,we developed a vision system to detect the position of base panle for sub-assembly line is shipbuilding process. The vision system is composed of one CCD camera attached on the base of robot, 2-500W halogen lamps for active illumination. In the image processing algorithm,the base panel is represented by two set of lines located at its two corner through hough transform. However, the various noise line caused by highlight,scratches and stiffener,roller in conveyor, and so on is contained in the captured image, this nosie can be eliminated by region segmentation and threshold in hough transform domain. The matching process to recognize the position of weld panel is executed by finding patterns in the Hough transformed domain. The sets of experiments performed in the sub-assembly line show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Attitude of librarian's Job satisfaction was shown differently by individual characteristic, personality, and cognitive structure in the same circumstance. This means that it is related to the personal psychological difference and subjective thinking. The purpose of this study is to analyze the psychological difference of libraians, especially their Cognitive style and to know what acts the difference and effect in Job satisfaction. The methodology of the study is a suvey of 160 librarians in 11 academic libraries at Pusan. The results are as fellows. In General, they were satisfied with ph than the normal level ane the most dissatisfied with promotion. They had no difference of Cognitive style with a demographic characteristics, had a similar difference with job satisfation, and the older and the higher position peoples were satisfied with thou ph. Cognitive style firly effect at the ph satisfation. Field dependence librarians are more satisfied with their job than field independence librarians. Field independence librarians are oppropriate to technical Services and field dependence librarians are more oppropriate for public services. In conclusion, they demonstrated that it Is very important to consider each psychological difference with cognitive style.

This study is to explore degree of childcare teacher's teacher efficacy and the factors influencing of knowledge related to disease, self-esteem and job stress on teacher efficacy of those surveyed. A descriptive study was conducted with a survey of 257 childcare teacher in G city. The data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Hierarchial multiple regression using SPSS WIN/21.0 program. The mean score of the was teacher efficacy $78.70{\pm}8.28$. The teacher efficacy was had a positive correlation with self-esteem (r=.493 p<.001) and a negative correlation with job stress(r=-.247, p<.001). But the teacher efficacy was had a not correlation with knowledge related to disease. (r=.046, p=.257) The result of the hierarchial regression indicated that self-esteem, job stress and position explained 30.0% of variance in teacher efficacy. The result suggest that it is necessary to interventional strategies to promote teacher efficacy for childcare teacher in childcare centers to improve teacher efficacy.

In the 21st century the service industry, particularly the hospitality industry, has the potential to develop into its golden age. In preparation for this hotels must maximize management proficiency by introducing reasonable and scientific systems into their current operations. The hotel industry takes it for granted that it can meet the final business goal by way of effective management of human resources. However, comprehensive papers on the subject of employee satisfaction have not appeared or been presented in Korean business studies. And although papers from abroad have touched on the subject they are not focused on the specialized domain of human resources as it applies to the comprehensive matters relating to job satisfaction as a corelationship to business success. This study focuses on some problems that must be overcome in achieving business objectives while striving at the same time to maintain satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to find the factors that measure employee job satisfaction in the hotel industry. To establish the purpose I reviewed the definition of the job satisfaction. An antecedent study of job satisfaction and Questionnaires were used to acquire data, specifically, hotel employees were selected randomly from the six super-deluxe hotels in Seoul to respond to thorough questionnaires. As a result of the study on the variables of Sex, Position, Length of Service, Opportunity for Promotion, Working Conditions, Wages and Hotel Situation. As a whole, promotional opportunity, wages and working conditions were frequently cited as negative factors in the responses. A comprehensive approach that includes improving wages and that reflects management's sincere concern with the working conditions of the employees is urgently needed. Hotel management that is willing to examine employee satisfaction periodically and provide proper solutions can prevent dissatisfied employees from separating from their jobs. This study has some limitation in that it is restricted geographically and in research method. That is, only six super-deluxe hotels in Seoul were selected as the subject of study and only the questionnaire method of obtaining data was used out of various available research methods.
This study was designed to examine the factors that influence the burnout of nurses practice healthcare in a hospital setting. Subjects for this study were 245 nurses working at University K hospital in Seoul, Korea. Data for this study was collected from 15 to 27 April, 2002. The data collection instruments used for this study are as follows: Maslach Burnout Inventory(1981), Orientation to Life Questionnaire(Sense of Coherence, SOC) by Antonovsky (1987) and Modified Coping Resources Inventory developed by author. The analysis of the data was completed using the descriptive, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression using the SAS program software. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Total mean score of burnout was 4.0. Mean scores of the subscales were; emotional exhausion 4.7, personalization 3.7, and personal accomplishment 3.4.2. Significant statistical differences according to demographic characteristics of the subjects were found in the variables of age, job position, years of working, perceived job stress, and burnout. 3. Burnout was negatively related to sense of coherence(r=-.65) and coping resources (r=-.40); subscales of SOC of comprehensibility(r=-.57), manageability (r= -.55), and meaningfulness(r= -.52); subscales of coping of self-care(r=-.36), and cognitive coping(r=-.39). 4. Job stress was the highest factor influence burnout. Sixty-one percent of the total variance of burnout was experienced by variables of comprehensibility, meaningfulness, age, self-care, manageability and leisure activities including job stress. In conclusion, it was found that a low level of burnout was related to high scores of SOC and coping resources. Job stress, manageability, and meaningfulness were the highest factors influencing the level of subscale of emotional exhausion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. Therefore, it is necessary to search for strategies to promote SOC and coping resources for reducing the level of burnout of nurses.
Purpose: this study was to identify influencing factors of burnout on oncology nurses. Method: the data was collected using a questionnaire from October 18, 2002 to November 20, 2002 in five general hospitals at Seoul. Participants of this study were the nurses who worked in the wards occupied by more than 50 percent of cancer patients. The collected data were analyzed by using the SPSS10.0 program. Result: 1. The burnout of the subjects show a mean score of 2.72 using the 5 point Likert scale. There were statistically significant difference in burnout between the general characteristics; age, marital status, educational background, job experience, position, nursing service period, and attitudes on nursing job. 2 The self-esteem of the subjects show a mean score of 3.72 using the 5 point Likert scale. The spiritual well-being of the subjects show a mean score of 3.83 using the 6 point Likert scale. The social support of the subjects show a mean score of 3.74 using the 5 point Likert scale. The job stress of the subjects show a mean score of 2.16 using the 4 point Likert scale. 3. The result of correlation between burnout and other variable was that relationship between the burnout and job stress(r=-.206, p<.05), self-esteem(r=-.417, p<.01), spiritual well-being(r=-.403, p<.01), social support(r=-.386, p<.01) were significant variables. 4. The result of the Stepwise Multiple Regression was that self-esteem (17.4%), spiritual well-being(7.9%), social support(3.4%) and job stress(2.3%) explained 31% of burn out.

Purpose: This study aims to assess the level of job satisfaction among the practicing Library and Information Science (LIS) professionals in India. Some of the key variables studied include salary, work environment, professional position, working hours, location, employee participation in administrative matters, recognition, and advancement. Scope: The study is limited to LIS professionals in India; however, the results of the study show some degree of commonality among LIS professionals across the world. Methodology/Approach: The study has been purely undertaken by analyzing the primary data collected from practicing library and information professionals across India by circulating an online questionnaire, using Google services and by posting the link on various social groups and other social networking sites such as Groups, Facebook, LinkedIn, discussion forums, and e-mails. Findings: Responses were generated across 20 states and union territories of the country, representing 88.15% territory of India. Of the total responses generated, 72.88% are males and 27.12% females. From the data analysis it emerged that every third library professional in India enters in to LIS profession by chance and not by choice, as 35.59% respondents expressed that they landed in the LIS profession by chance and 60.45% by choice. More than 77% respondents have expressed their willingness to change their present employer, if given better opportunity. More than 80% professionals either fully or partly agree that most of the LIS professionals across India are dissatisfied with their employers. All these and many more areas have been explored, which reflect the aspects of job satisfaction and dissatisfaction among LIS professionals in India.
Purpose: The effects of the organizational culture and health promotion life style on job satisfaction of nurses in general hospitals have been studied in an effort to provide basic information that will be helpful in effective management of the organization and enhancement of nursing. Method: The 341 samples used in the study were selected randomly from general hospitals having more than 250 beds in Gwangju province and Yosu province. Data collected were analyzed for frequency, percentage, ANOVA, t-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and Multiple regression analysis using SPSS, a program package for statistical analysis. Result: Factors affecting job satisfaction included work years, position, monthly income, stress management, which is a substructure of health promotion life style, innovation-oriented culture, relation-oriented culture, and task-oriented culture in organizational culture. Results showed an influence of 64.2%. Ed - highlight: Please review. Conclusion: The organizational culture, such as an innovation-oriented culture, relation-oriented culture, or task-oriented culture, has a positive influence on job satisfaction.
This study examines empirically whether appropriateness of training program, learning organization, and demographic factors enhance the effectiveness of training program for HRD in small and medium companies. The major findings are as follows: The appropriateness of training program, learning organization, and demographic factors of employee has a strong positive effect on the effectiveness of training program for human resource development and intent to participate in the training program in small and medium enterprise. The learning organization has a strong positive effect on the effectiveness of training program for human resource development and intent to participate in the training program in small and medium enterprise. Also effectiveness of training program for human resource development and intent to participate in the training program in small and medium enterprise is different according to demographic factors such as job type(blue collar job, office job, sales job), rank of job position, and the length of service in organization. The significant results of this study is that appropriate design of training program to make employees understand the purpose of education and trying to activate the learning organization can increase the effectiveness of traing program in small and medium enterprise.
