The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of career, burnout, and play-teaching efficacy on the job satisfaction of childcare teachers. Participants of this study were 201 childcare teachers in work-site daycare centers from the Seoul and Kyonggi areas. Collected data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, Pearson's product moment correlation, and multiple regression with SPSS ver. 13.0. Major results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant differences in total play-teaching efficacy and total job satisfaction according to childcare teacher's career. Second, there were significant positive correlations between childcare teachers' career and their play-teaching efficacy, and between childcare teachers' play-teaching efficacy and their job satisfaction. Also, there were significant negative correlations between childcare teachers' career and their burnout, between childcare teachers' burnout and their play-teaching efficacy, and between childcare teachers' burnout and their job satisfaction. Finally, the most powerful predictor on job satisfaction was burnout. Further, childcare teachers' burnout, play-teaching efficacy, and career explained their job satisfaction. This study primarily suggests that efforts heightening childcare teachers' play-teaching efficacy as well as reducing their burnout according to their career is important in enhancing their job satisfaction.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data required to improve nursing resources management and nurse organizations. Methods: The data were collected using a questionnaire. Participants were 294 nurses who were working at 8 hospitals with more than 500 beds located in G and C cities, Korea. Data analysis was done using t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis with SPSS. Results: There were significant correlations between self-leadership, clinical competence, job satisfaction and job involvement. Factors affecting job involvement were job satisfaction, self-leadership, length of clinical career and length of career in current department. Job satisfaction was the most influential factor with an explanatory power of 41%. Conclusion: Findings show that to strengthen job involvement, identification and management of factors that affect job satisfaction and self-leadership are required and relevant training and strategies should be developed and used.
Objectives : This study was to examine factors affecting the job satisfaction of dental hygienists. Methods : The subjects in this study were dental hygienists who worked at dental hospitals, dental clinics and general hospitals in the city of Gwangju. A survey was conducted by mail from January 2 to March 2, 2007. Out of the collected data, 208 answer sheets were analyzed. Results : 1. The dental hygienists investigated got a mean of 3.20 on job satisfaction. Among the job satisfaction factors, relationship with patients ranked highest(3.79), followed by relationship with colleagues(3.62), working environments(3.39), future prospects(3.30), professional status (2.89), pay(2.82) and required workload(2.58). 2. Regarding links between general characteristics and job satisfaction, the older dental hygienists were more satisfied with professional status, pay, required workload and relationship with patients. By marital status, the married dental hygienists expressed better satisfaction at professional status than the unmarried ones. By education, those who were receiving college education or received the same or higher education were more gratified than the junior college graduates. By the total length of career, the dental hygienists whose length of career was longer were more gratified with professional status, future prospects and relationship with patients. By workplace, the dental hospital workers were more satisfied with working environments, and the general hospital employees were more gratified with pay. The dental hospital employees were better satisfied with future prospects as well. As to the impact of the length of career at the current workplace, there was a tendency that those who worked at their current workplaces for a longer time expressed better satisfaction with professional status, pay and relationship with patients. By monthly mean income, the larger income earners had a tendency to be better gratified with professional status, pay and relationship with patients. 3. The general characteristics that were selected as independent variables were identified as the factors that exercised an influence on the job satisfaction of the dental hygienists and made an about 14.0% prediction of it. Out of those factors, the total length of career and monthly mean income had a statistically significant impact on that. Conclusions : The above-mentioned findings suggested that out of the seven job satisfaction components, they gave the lowest marks to satisfaction level with pay. As a result of making a multiple regression analysis, it's found that job satisfaction was under the influence of the total length of career and monthly mean income. Therefore there should be an improvement in the pay system in order to boost the job satisfaction of dental hygienists, and they should be paid properly in accordance with total length of career.

This study was attempted to find out the effect of major satisfaction, maturation of career consciousness and clinical practice satisfaction of nursing college students on job-seeking stress. For this study, 157 3th, 4th grade students were participated from K University in K Province, using a self-reported questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 22.0. program. As a result of this study, it was revealed that there was a significant correlation between the job-seeking stress of nursing students on major satisfaction(r=-.270, p<.001), clinical practice satisfaction(r=-.283 p<.001), maturation of career consciousness(r=-.424, p<.001). Also, the factors affecting the job-seeking stress of nursing students were major satisfaction(β=-0.005, p<.05), clinical practice satisfaction(β=-0.126, p<.001), maturation of career consciousness(β=-0.369, p<.001) with a total explanatory power of 17.7%. Therefore consideration of educational programt be given to the s and support systems to reduced job seeking stress for nursing students.
The purpose of this study is to find out the job satisfaction of the korean medical clinic workers, and understand the factors that affect the satisfaction thereby increasing the efficiency of human resource management and providing the basic data to establish the management strategy. We visited 50 korean medical clinics which were chosen randomly from the korean medical clinics in the city of Changwon, Gyungnam. First, we explained the purpose of the study and survey contents to the surveyees, then distributed the Questionnaire and collected them. The data analysis was done statistically using the SPSS WIN IBM 20.0 program. The results were as follows: Professional career, interpersonal relationship, work autonomy, and overall job satisfaction showed significant differences depending on ages. While satisfaction of interpersonal relationship showed significant difference depending on final education. Depending on marriage status, while married persons showed significantly high satisfaction on professional career, interpersonal relationship, work autonomy, administration, and overall job satisfaction, there is no significant difference on income satisfaction. The number of years worked in the current clinic showed significant difference on administration satisfaction. Also, daytime working hours showed significant difference on administration and overall job satisfaction. The work area showed significant difference on overall job satisfaction. The income level showed significant differences on professional career, administration, and overall job satisfaction. From this study, it was confirmed that demographic characteristics and work environment factors showed significant differences on overall job satisfaction of workers in korean medical clinics. Therefore, in order to facilitate efficient manpower utilization and organization efficiency maximization, and motivation of human resources, a detailed plan should be developed to improve working environment and take demographic characteristics into consideration.
Many organizations try to hire and retain a well-trained workforce to get their security level of IT assets and networks. However, most academic studies have focused on only how many workforces are needed to keep the secure function. We have to transit to other aspects of cybersecurity HRM studies because well-training workforces are not the problem of numbers but the quality. This study proves how the person-job fit and the work values impact job satisfaction of the cybersecurity workforce in early careers who graduated school recently and have a high turnover intention. The results of this study provide a lot of practical implications regarding job satisfaction of the cybersecurity workforce in an early career as follows. First, the major-job fit of the cybersecurity workforce doesn't influence job satisfaction, unlike other studies. Second, what graduates learned in college is little helpful in hands-on work, so retraining the cybersecurity workforce in an early career is very important. Third, the cybersecurity HRM plans have to center on realizing the self-realization of workforces to improve job satisfaction.
Purpose - Korean women suffered from serious experience at unfair personnel practice in the work and coexistence between work and home affairs. The study examined woman workers' career plateau perception and success who worked for local public enterprises, that is to say, regional public corporation invested by local government, and investigated mediating effect of dual commitment as well as control effect of self-efficacy from point of view of various access to variables. Research design, data, and methodology - The study investigated women employees of regional public corporation by empirical analysis. The author collected 337 copies from 380 copies and made use of 325 copies after excluding copies with improper answer. SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 were used. Results - The study investigated effect of career plateau (structure and content) upon subjective career success (job satisfaction and career commitment) according to questionnaire material: First, not only structural plateau but also content career plateau had negative influence upon dual commitment (structure and career). Second, dual commitment had positive influence upon subjective career success from point of view of organizational commitment and career commitment. Third, structural career plateau had positive influence upon career success, and content career plateau had positive influence upon job satisfaction. Fourth, structural career plateau did not have significant influence upon job satisfaction, content career plateau and career satisfaction. Fifth, subordinate variables (organizational commitment and career commitment) had mediating influence upon career plateau cognition and subjective career success. Sixth, self efficacy did not control career plateau cognition and subjective career success. Conclusions - Women employee's career plateau cognition mediated dual commitment to have influence upon career success and to be likely to help career success theory study. Career plateau had negative influence upon dual commitment and career success of women workers. The study shall give base of counteraction from point of view of control and motivation of women workers thinking of career plateau.
This study aims to investigate the effect of college students' major satisfaction on career decision-making self-efficacy and job confidence. The research method was used for analysis by surveying 335 two-year college students majoring in beauty in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The collected data were analyzed for frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation between career decision-making self-efficacy and job confidence using SPSS 26.0, and multiple regression analysis was conducted to confirm the effect between each variable. As a result of the study, first, a statistically significant positive (+) correlation between college students' major satisfaction was confirmed between career decision-making self-efficacy and job confidence. Second, as the effect of major satisfaction on self-efficacy, statistically significant effects were confirmed in self-evaluation, problem-solving, and goal selection. Fifth, it was confirmed that major satisfaction had a statistically significant effect on job confidence. Fourth, it was confirmed that career decision-making self-efficacy had a statistically significant effect on job confidence.
This study analyzed differences and determinants of job satisfaction by employment type using the Korean Labor and Income Panel Data (KLIPS) (5th~13th) and obtained the following results. First, it was found that the job satisfaction of regular employees was significantly higher than that of non-regular employees and, as a result of analyzing job satisfaction by subdividing various types of employment within the non-regular employment category, 'temporary work' was found to have the highest satisfaction, while 'long-term non-regular work' had the lowest. Further, as a result of analyzing the differences in job satisfaction by the method of career choice, it was found that job satisfaction in the case of choosing a job voluntarily was higher than that in the case of choosing a job involuntarily. Second, as a result of analyzing the determinants of job satisfaction by employment type, all variables in regular employment were found to have statistically significant effects on job satisfaction, which is a dependant variable, whereas non-regular employment was found to have a limited effect only depending on the employment type. In case of the determinants of job satisfaction according to the method of career choice, they were found to have statistically significant effects on all variables except for the career variable in the group that chose employment voluntarily, whereas they were found to have significant effects on some variables only such as gender and wage, etc., in the group that chose employment involuntarily. Therefore, it is more suitable to analyze job satisfaction by subdividing it by employment type rather than dividing it into regular employment and non-regular employment, although the method of career choice (voluntary/involuntary) also needs to be considered.
Purpose : This study was intended to investigate the structural relationship among empowerment, self-efficacy, job motivation, autonomy, critical thinking, job-satisfaction, burnout, and self-achievement. In addition, we tested the moderating effect of the career period on the influence of empowerment. Methodology : The structural equation model was used to test the causal relationship between factors, and t-test, ANOVA, descriptive statistics are applied to analyze the research data. Findings : The result of this study shows that the structural model that is the empowerment encourages the self-efficacy, job motivation, autonomy, and critical thinking, also these factors affect the self-achievement through both the job-satisfaction and burnout is acceptable according to the goodness of fitness indices. In addition, we show that the career period moderates the influence of empowerment on the self-efficacy, job-motivation, and autonomy, but not critical thinking. Usually, the shorter the career period is the higher the influence of empowerment is. This moderating effect means that to give proper empowerment to lower position nurses encourage them, and prevent from burnout. Therefore, they feel job-satisfaction and finally self-achievement. Practical Implications : The empowerment helps the nurse to activate self-efficacy, job motivation, autonomy, critical thinking. Hence, these factors decrease burn-out but increase job satisfaction. Finally a sense of self-perfection increase.
