  • For real-time recognition of accurate measuring instrument, the adaptive parameter typed Circular Nural-Net Recognition is proposed. The fast nural network system acted by a replacement of the conventional nural network has good real-time convergence. we are applied proposed nural network to utilize various control and investigation equipments.

Beverage consumption and related factors of undergraduates in Jeonnam (전남 지역 일부 대학생의 음료섭취실태와 관련요인 연구)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the beverage consumption and related factors of undergraduates in Jeonnam. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 480 undergraduates in Jeonnam from June 1 to 15, 2016 based on convenience sampling. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, beverage intake frequency, and awareness of beverage. Results: Carbonated beverage intake was 3.05 times per week and five kinds of beverage consumption was 12.48 times per week. Higher beverage intake was closely related to male students, higher beverage purchase, and lower awareness toward oral health impact by beverage and sugar contents. Conclusions: The recognition level of beverage related to oral health had an impact on the frequency of drink intake. It is necessary to educate the dietary guide for appropriate oral health management in beverage intake.

  • This research aims to examine consumers' general types of information search and their unsatisfactory factors in purchasing agricultural products on electronic commerce and analyze consumers' behavioral characteristics. As study subjects, 802 consumers who have visited the home pages of 14 households or companies, whose home pages are actively managed, were sampled. As a research tool, pop-up post and e-mail were used as research tools and questionnaires were asked three times. The date on research result were analyzed using SPSS 13 statistics package in terms of frequency, percentage, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis.

  • The frequent finding of soil contamination by dogs' feces are remarkable, and such soil contamination may be public health problem. Of 608 samples, 30(4.9%) were positive for nematode ova. Ten paint 3% of sail samples from parks and 7.9% from footpaths were found to contain nematode eggs. Of the helminth eggs detected, eggs of Toxocara spp. were the most commonly encountered, and mostly from the soil of footpaths. No eggs were recovered from the soil of school yards; the level of soil contamination was low in public play areas. Egg recovery rate of the soil to dogs' feces collected from footpaths was approximately 1:5. And the larvae demonstrated from the soil in the present study were nematode larvae, mainly recovered from parks.

  • The objectives of this study are to improve the aerodynamics performance on the down-wind blade system with folding type blade which consists of the folding type rotor blade, wind vane yawing stabilizer and a bevel gearbox. The aerodynamics performance for the new wind turbine system are compared with those of the conventional up-wind blade system.   • The study has effected checking the traditional Korean-style house condition in Farm village and the resident preference test in jeonnam area for examination propriety of development a traditional Korean-style house. Also, it was checked over the problem and improvement direction of new building the Korean style house. The resident wanted living in the traditional Korean-style house if it is compromised problem of living equipment and cost of building. First. Jeonnam area Korean style house must keep the 'ㅡ' type plan. Second, the plan must construct compact and effective plan with the main floored room as the center for prevention against an indiscreet plan space extend of outside. Third, it has must need suitable material and construction for applying traditional exterior with effect. Fourth, it has must need actualization plan for the cost of construction is 3,500,000/py for construction.

  • We have studied the backward wave oscillator, a power pulsed generator oscillator at 20 GHz has higher frequency then current one. An absolute instability linear analysis was used for the purpose of designing the slow wave structure. A large diameter of the slow wave structure was adopted to prevent the breakdown brought about by the increase of power density.

  • During the studies on the esophagogastric ulcers in swine, Anisakis type larvae were found associated with stomach lesions. 1. Of the 1,531 pigs examined, 11(0.7%) were infested with the parasite in the stomach. 2. The parasite was identified as Anisakis type I larvae, according to the morphological characteristics. 3. On gross examination, the parasites were seen penetrating gastric mucosa, resulting in hemorrhagic ulcers. 4. Main histopathological features were edema, massive eosinophilic infiltrations around the parasite, necrosis and perivascular eosinophilic accumulations in the submucosa.

  • Hypercholesterolemia is the presence of high levels of cholesterol in the blood, and it is regarded as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease due to the effects of cholesterol. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of unripe Rubus coreanus Miquel (uRC) extract on lipid metabolism in hypercholesterolemic mice fed a high cholesterol diet (HC). uRC 50 (unripe R. coreanus 5% ethanol extract 50 mg/kg/day), uRC 100 (unripe R. coreanus 5% ethanol extract 100 mg/kg/day), uRC 300 (unripe R. coreanus 5% ethanol extract 300 mg/kg/day), and BO (borage seed oil containing minimum of 20% ${\gamma}$-linolenic acid 30 mg/kg/day) were orally administered for 60 days after HC. Oral administration of uRC 50, uRC 100, uRC 300, and BO significantly reduced serum total-cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase, glutamic pyruvic transaminase, atherogenic index, and cardiac risk factor levels. Similarly, uRC treatment elevated serum HDL-cholesterol levels. These results suggest that unripe R. coreanus extract could be established as a functional food for the improvement of lipid metabolism.

Analysis of Nutritional Compounds and Antioxidant Effect of Freeze-Dried powder of the Honey Bee (Apis mellifera L.) Drone (Pupal stage) (서양종 꿀벌(Apis mellifera L.) 수벌번데기 동결건조 분말의 영양학적 성분 및 항산화 효과)

  • In this study, we analyzed the nutritional ingredients of drone pupae (16th to 20th instar old) to evaluate the value of bee products and provide basic data for product diversification, and the extracts prepared using these pupae were tested for physiological activity. According to the analysis of the general ingredients of the freeze-dried powder of these bee pupae, the moisture, crude protein, crude fat, and crude ash was 1.69 ± 0.07%, 48.52 ± 0.20%, 23.41 ± 0.14%, and 4.05 ± 0.02%, respectively. Vitamin C and vitamin E were 14.92 ± 0.52 mg/100 g and 6.06 ± 0.11 mg α-TE/100 g, respectively. Regarding minerals, the highest content of K (1349.13 ± 34.57 mg/100 g) and P (1323.55 ± 43.85 mg/100 g) was observed and Ca and Fe were 55.43 ± 1.51 mg/100 g and 5.49 ± 0.19 mg/100 g, respectively. The fatty acids of the water extracted freeze-dried pupae powder accounted for approximately 59.62 of saturated fatty acids and 40.38 of unsaturated fatty acids, and high-quality fatty acids such as palmitic acid (C16:0) was 35.49 ± 0.08 and oleic acid (C18:1, n-9) was 35.91 ± 0.22 (g/100 g total fatty acids). The total amino acid content was 38.99 ± 2.63 g/100 g and the free amino acid was a total of 5129.04 mg/100 g, of which 1257.68 mg/100 g was proline and 759.12 mg/100 g glutamic acid. The DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging activity of the drone pupae extract showed values of 0.8 for distilled water extract, 3.2 for 50% EtOH extract, 6.4 for 70% EtOH extract, and approximately 90% for 32 ㎍/mL for 100% EtOH extract. These results suggest that the main compound contributing to the antioxidant activity is a polar compound, and it is highly likely to be a low-molecular protein or a free amino acid. In conclusion, the honey bee drone pupa is excellent as a food resource and can be utilized as a new functional material for food and functional food.
