Continuous Migration Container System for Upgrading Object

  • During system resource improvement process that based on Object-Oriented technology could be affect to the continuous system performance if lack appropriate management and control objects mechanism. This paper proposes a methodology to support continuous system performance and its stability. The adoption is based on Java Container Framework and Collections Framework for object collection. Also includes Software Engineering, Object Migration and Multiple Class Loaders mechanism accommodate to construct Continuous Migration Container (CMC). CMC is a runtime environment provides interfaces for management and control to support upgrading object process. Upgrade object methodology of CMC can be divided into two phase are object equivalence checking and object migration process. Object equivalence checking include object behavior verification and functional conformance verification before object migration process. In addition, CMC use Multiple Class Loaders mechanism to support reload effected classes instead of state transfer in migration process while upgrading object. These operations are crucial for system stability and enhancement efficiency.

  • The World Wide Web provides new opportunities for cyber education over the Internet. The web, when combined with other network tools, can be used to provide useful educational information to learners. Thus, the objective of this paper is to develop Java applet for understanding the concept of Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) on the Internet. The developed Java Applet is composed of four frames: fuzzifier, rulebase, inference engine and defuzzifier. Since data transmission can be achieved from one frame to other frames, users can easily observe and understand the process of FLC. The results of this paper can be used to improve the efficiency of lectures in the cyber university.

  • Seakeeping, especially for the roll motions, is of critical importance to the safe operation of fishing boats in Indonesia. In this study, a traditional East Java Fishing Boat (EJFB) has been analysed in terms of its seakeeping performance. Furthermore, a bilge keel was designed to reduce the roll motions of the EJFB using multiple stages approach. After installing the designed bilge keels, it was shown that up to 11.78% and 4.87% reduction in the roll response of irregular seaways and the total resistance under the design speed, respectively. It was concluded that the roll-stabilized-EJFB will enhance the well-being of the fisherman and contribute to the boats' safe operation, especially in extreme weather conditions. Moreover, the total resistance reduction of the EJFB due to the installation of the designed bilge keels also resulted in increased operational efficiency and reduced fuel costs and fuel emissions for local stakeholders.

  • This paper describes an extension of Kaffe JVM which enables to extract runtime characteristics of a Java program. The runtime characteristics include frequency of method call instruction, ratio of library method call and ratio of method whose runtime is less than compile time. It also represents ratio of method called only once, polymorphicity of virtual call and distribution of method size called in runtime. This paper analyses runtime features of the SciMark benchmark suite using the extended Kaffe.

  • 인터넷 확산에 따라 소프트웨어의 보안 취약점을 이용한 공격이 커지고 있다. 이와 같은 공격을 방지하기 위해서는 응용프로그램을 사전에 보안 취약점을 분석하여 분석된 취약점에 대해서는 시큐어 코딩을 적용하여 취약한 코드를 개선해야한다. 본 논문에서는 보안취약점을 분석하기 위한 공개 정적분석도구를 활용하여 분석하고 취약점 유발 코드는 시큐어 코딩을 적용하여 소프트웨어 보안을 할 수 있게 적용하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 DC-DC 컨버터의 온라인 진단을 위해 개발된 java VM(virtual machine) 기반 모니터링 시스템에 대하여 소개하고자 한다. 개발된 진단 플랫폼은 DC-DC 컨버터의 온라인 진단을 위해 시스템 식별 기법을 이용하여 진단을 위한 파라메터를 추정하고 추정된 결과를 인터넷을 통해 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있도록 제작되었다. 개발된 진단 플랫폼은 기존의 DC-DC 컨버터의 제어기와 직렬 통신으로 연결되어 있으며 웹을 통해 주요 제어 변수의 설정과 모니터링이 가능하도록 제작되었다. 웹 서비스를 위해서 StrongArm 기반의 플랫폼을 적용하였으며 리눅스 환경에서 java VM을 이용하여 웹 서비스를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 기술은 향후 산업용 장치들의 웹 기반 진단 및 모니터링 기술에 이용될 예정이다.

  • The dynamic nature of the World Wide Web challenges Information Retrieval System to find information relevant and recent. Intelligent agents can complement the power of search engines to deal with this challenge. In this paper, we explain in manner of building Information Retrieval System based on intelligent agent technology. We present a tool called Websearcher. It was performed in Java environment. The object-oriented nature of Java and built-in facilities for multi-thread decreased our implementation effort. A modular software design makes it easy to configure the system for various experiments.

A Framework for Java-based Web Database Applications (JaVa를 기반으로 한 웹 데이타베이스 응용을 위한 프레임워크)

  • The World-Wide-Web have many advantages as a front-end of database systems. Hence in Internet applications, such as E-Commerce systems, the requirements for Web-based database applications have been increasing. In this work we propose a framework for java-based Web database applications-JaWAF(Java-based Web Application Framework). JaWAF has the 3-tier architecture of Client/Server, and consists of database gateway, application server, and communication and message component. When this framework is applied to the database applications developments, it can provide advantages, such as ease understanding and fast implementations of the Web applications. Thus we can build 3-tier Web-based database application systems with high scalability and distributed processing capability. Database gateway in JaWAF works as a daemon process that connects to the database systems and waits for requests from clients, and supports state-oriented service between clients and database servers. Hence the performance of Web applications could be increasing.

  • 웹 애플리케이션 개발에 있어 웹 디자이너와 소프트웨어 개발자의 역할을 분리하는 것은 소프트웨어 작업 능률을 높이고 생산성을 증대시키기 위해 요구되는 사항이며 웹 디자이너와 소프트웨어 개발자의 모듈의 응집도(cohesion)를 높이고 결합도(coupling)를 낮추기 위해 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 JSP 기반에서 사용되었던 기법들을 살펴보고 JSP(Java Server Page) 작성 시 페이지 디자이너와 소프트웨어 개발자의 역할을 효율적으로 분리하기 위해 커스텀(custom) 태그를 사용하여 HTML 코드와 Java 로직을 분리하여 개선된 개발환경을 제공해 주는 COHALS(Component Of Html And Logic Separation) 컴포넌트를 제시한다.
