Design and Implementation of Web GIS Server Using Node.js (Node.js를 활용한 웹GIS 서버의 설계와 구현)

  • Web GIS, based on the latest web-technology, has evolved to provide efficient and accurate spatial information to users. Furthermore, Web GIS Server has improved the performance constantly to respond user web requests and to offer spatial information service. This research aims to create a designed and implemented Web GIS Server that is named as Nodemap which uses the emergent technology, Node.js, which has been issued for an event-oriented, non-blocking I/O model framework for coding JavaScript on the server development. Basically, NodeMap is Web GIS Server that supports OGC implementation specification. It is designed to process GIS data by using DBMS, which supports spatial index and standard spatial query function. And NodeMap uses Node-Canvas module supported HTML5 canvas to render spatial information on tile map. Lastly, NodeMap uses Express module based connect module framework. NodaMap performance demonstration confirmed a possibility of applying Node.js as a (next/future) Web GIS Server development technology through the benchmarking. Having completed its quality test of NodeMap, this study has shown the compatibility and potential for Node.js as a Web GIS server development technology, and has shown the bright future of internet GIS service.

  • ITA (Information Technology Architecture) satisfies the requirements of information system, supports the information used in the institution's business to guarantee the interoperability and security, and analyzes the components of information system. ITA consists of EA (Enterprise Architecture), TRM (Technical Reference Manual) and SP (Standard Profile). The SP, one of the major components of ITA, is a set of information technology standards. In this paper, to construct and utilize the ITA, we mention the applications of information technology about the SP system implementation based on the TRM. The SP management system implemented in this paper is the first trial in Korea, and designs the software with object oriented programming languages such as JSP and Java. Moreover the basic and detailed specification based on the UML notation, system design using the component and system design pattern consisting of software architectures enhance the software reusability. And the constructed system in this paper shows less maintenance cost by using the public softwares such as Linux system, Korean DBMS, Apache and Tomcat, etc. Finally, the system includes the SP reference system which is used in the other institutions and cannot be found in other institutions. Also it includes the additional diverse service modules which support the subsequent processing for the establishment and revision of standards via internet.

  • Current certification system use serial key for protect copyright of software and digital contents. But It is not efficient system, because It is not protect copyright through create virtual key or use public key. So we research on various cryptology for prevent illegal copy of serial key, but It is not enough protection of copyright that use software technology only. In this paper, we propose certification system using smart card for protect copyright of software and digital contents.

  • 최근 급속하게 발전하고 있는 컴퓨터, 인터넷 분야의 디지털 기술과 함께 방송 환경도 기존의 아날로그 방식에서 디지털 방식으로 바뀌어 가고 있다. 최근 이러한 디지털 방송 환경의 도입으로 A/V 프로그램의 고화질 서비스 제공과 더불어 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 방송망을 통해 전송할 수 있는 데이터방송 기술에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 현재 실시간 운영체제(Real Time O/S)를 이용한 독립형 데이터방송 셋톱박스들의 성능은 Java 나 XML을 기반으로 저작된 콘텐츠들을 처리할 수 있으나 MPEG-4와 같은 객체 기반의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 처리하기에는 연산 능력의 한계를 가지고 있다. 그러나 앞으로 데이터방송 서비스의 발전 방향은 시청자가 직접 방송 내용에 대해 활발하게 상호 작용을 할 수 있는 대화형 방송 서비스로 발전할 것이다. 이러한 대화형 방송에서 사용되는 콘텐츠는 복잡하고 계산량이 많이 요구되며 이를 처리하기 위해서 셋톱박스는 높은 연산량을 가진 다양한 멀티미디어 기능을 처리할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 디지털 지상파 데이터방송시 ATSC-DASE 기반의 콘텐츠와 MPEG-4 콘텐츠를 수신하고 처리할 수 있는 PC 기반의 고성능 셋톱박스에 대한 설계 방안을 제안한다.

  • Parallel and distributed simulation is concerned with the efficient execution of large-scale discrete event simulation models on multiprocessors and distributed platforms. After the development of WWW, many efforts in the parallel and distributed simulation have been made for modeling, particularly building simulation languages and creating model libraries that can be assembled and executed over WWW. However, web-based parallel and distributed simulation is restricted by heterogeneous computing environments. Recently, the advent of XML and web services technology has made these efforts enter upon a new phase. Especially, the web services as a distributed information technology have demonstrated powerful capabilities for scalable interoperation of heterogeneous systems. This paper aims to develop and evaluate the parallel and distributed simulation using the web services technology. In particular, a prototype multi-pass simulation framework is implemented using Java-based web services technology. It focuses on the efficiency of multi-pass simulation used for optimization through the distribution of simulation replication to several simulation service providers. The development of parallel and distributed simulation using web services will help solve efficiently large-scale problems and also guarantee interoperability among heterogeneous networked systems.

  • 협업시스템은 분산된 작업그룹의 구성원들이 정보를 쉽게 교환하고 공유할 수 있도록 지원하는 공동작업환경이다. HTTP/1.1 을 확장한 WebDAV는 사용자가 원거리 서버의 자원을 수정하고 관리하는 기능을 제공하는 웹 통신 프로토콜이다. CoSlide 협업시스템은 효과적으로 협업을 지원하기 위하여 WebDAV 프로토콜을 확장하여 개발된 협업시스템으로서 협업을 위한 가상공 간을 제공하며 가상공간에 다양한 자원을 등록하고 관리할 수 있다. 하지만, CoSlide 협업시스템이 제공하는 기존의 작업장들은 그룹 구성원들간의 효과적인 협업을 위한 구성원들의 행위 인식 (Behavior Awareness) 을 지원하지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CoSlide 협업시스템을 이용하여 협업을 수행할 때, 협업의 효율성을 증대시키기 위하여 구성원이 수행하는 행동을 인식할 수 있도록 자바 메시지 서비스를 이용하여 CoSlide 서버의 Awareness를 지원하기 위한 시스템을 설계하였다. 또한 CoSlide 서버의 Awareness 지원을 위하여 CoSlide 클라이언트인 CoSpace의 확장을 설계하였다. 사용자는 CoSpace 협업 클라이언트를 이용하여 협업을 수행하면 CoSlide 서버는 구성원이 수행하는 작업을 인식하고, 인식한 정보의 공개수준 여부와 수신여부를 참조하여 관련된 구성원에게 알려줌으로써 협업의 효율성이 증대된다.

  • VNC 프로그램은 RFB(Remote Frame Buffer) 프로토콜을 사용하여 멀리 떨어진 시스템의 자원을 GUI(Graphic User Interface)를 통해 효과적으로 제어 할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다. 이를 이용하여 효과 적인 동기식 협업 작업을 지원하는 시스템을 구성할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 Ultra VNC 프로그램과 RFB 프로토콜을 확장하여 같은 시간에 일어나는 인터넷 기반 협업 작업을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 CoVNC의 개발에 대해 기술한다. CoVNC를 사용하는 협업 작업장제공자나 협업 참여자가 협업 시스템의 구성과 실행에 대한 노력을 들이지 않으며 협업 작업에 몰두 할 수 있도록, 서버 설정을 저장하는 기능과 클라이언트가 한 번의 클릭으로 서버 접속을 할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다. 또한 작업장을 제어 할 수 있는 권한과 제어할 수 없는 권한, 그리고 클라이언트의 권한과 접속을 관리하는 관리자 권한을 제공하여 협업 작업에서의 혼선과 악의적인 작업 방해를 막을 수 있다. 이러한 기능을 지원하기 위하여 Ultra VNC 서버를 확장하여 CoVNC 서버를 개발하였으며, Java Viewer 클라이언트를 확장하여 CoVNC 클라이언트를 개발하였고, RFB 프로토콜을 확장하여 서버와 클라이언트가 새로운 기능에 대한 메시지를 주고받을 수 있도록 하였다.

  • With the explosive rapid expansion of computer using during the past few years, security has become a crucial issue for modem computer systems. Today, there are many intrusion detection systems (IDS) on the Internet. A variety of intrusion detection techniques and tools exist in the computer security community such as enterprise security management system (ESM) and system integrity checking tools. However, there is a potential problem involved with intrusion detection systems that are installed locally on the machines to be monitored. If the system being monitored is compromised, it is quite likely that the intruder will after the system logs and the intrusion logs while the intrusion remains undetected. In this project KIT-I, we adopt remote logging server (RLS) mechanism, which is used to backup the log files to the server. Taking into account security, we make use of the function of SSL of Java and certificate authority (CA) based key management. Furthermore, Support Vector Machine (SVM) is applied in our project to detect the intrusion activities.

  • Network streaming technology is a service method which can support several application software via streaming in networks. Although multimedia streaming technology has been developed and widely used, research on the software streaming technology is not yet being progressed actively. In this paper, we design and implement a software streaming technology based on Java language with enhanced performance, compare the existing related systems with it and analyze several characteristics, and perform the performance evaluation. The implemented system has a platform to be used in multiple operating systems in addition to Windows system. It can also be used without installing a software at the client's computer, and has a novel feature that the user's convenience is maximized.

  • Digital technology has become a new economic and social force, reshaping traditional business models, strategies, structures, and processes. This is a challenge for human capital to develop continuously in this dynamic era; one of the solutions is digital entrepreneurship. Digital entrepreneurship focuses on creating new ventures and transforming existing businesses by developing novel digital technologies or novel usage. Further, digital technology has also enabled the growth of the sharing economy, linking owners and users, and disrupting the previous dualism of businesses and customers. This paper provides a novel contribution regarding the emerging concept of Digital Entrepreneurship. Based on a qualitative literature review and interview with university staff, lecturers, and students in four large public and private universities in West Java and DIY Province, an interpretative framework for Digital Entrepreneurship has been proposed, which comprises of the following components: motivation (the rationale for the adoption of digital technology for academic entrepreneurship), stakeholders (the stakeholders involved through digital technology to achieve the academic entrepreneurship goal), process (the processes of academic entrepreneurship supported by digital technologies), and business form (the emerging forms of digital academic entrepreneurship). This research also shows several alternative government policies to improve digital entrepreneurship in the academic environment.
