2단계 분배체계를 위한 확률적(Q,r)재고모형 (Stochastic (Q, r) Inventory Model for Two-echelon Distrubution System)

  • This paper develops a two-echelon inventory model with time-weighted partial backorders. The presented model assumed to follow continuous review (Q. r) policy for both the retailers and the central warehouse under stochastic demand. A heuristic method to find an optimum-tending solution for total variable system cost per year incurred at the central warehouse and retailers in a system is suggested. To show the usefulness of the above model, numericla examples are illustrated for verification and validation purpose.

해양 생물다양성 정보시스템 개발 -한국 해양생물 종 목록 수립을 중심으로- (Development of the Korea Marine Biodiversity Information System -Focus on the Establishment of the Korea Maine Species Inventory-)

  • For an efficient management and utilization of marine biodiversity information, we made an attempt to develop the Korea Marine Biodiversity Information System (KoMBIS), building a species name inventory of Korea marine organisms. The inventory includes 17 organism groups: phytoplankton, zooplankton, algae and halophyte, sponges, cnidarians, rotifers, nematodes, bryozoans, brachiopods, molluscs, echiurans, annelids, arthropods, echinoderms, urochordates and fish. The species names were collected from 37 different references and reviewed for validity by taxonomists, which resulted in 9,798 valid names in addition to 1,845 synonyms. The Korea marine species inventory is the first one of this kind, for previous Korean species name inventories were mostly composed of terrestrial and freshwater organisms. KoMBIS, the information system developed, contains not only the species name but also information on morphological and ecological characteristics such as distribution, DNA barcode, and references. This system is convenient for the inputting of new data and servicing users through the internet, so that management and utilization of the biodiversity information is more efficient. Linking the DNA barcode data with species information provides an objective measure for identification of a species, which accommodates the recommendation of Consortium for the Barcode of Life, and makes the Korea marine biodiversity information compatible with international databases. Considering the frequent exchange of marine organisms internationally via ballast water and such issues as climate change, this information system will be useful in many areas of marine biodiversity.

  • One of the important applications in Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems is the Manufacturing Resource Planning(MRPII) system using Bill of Material(BOM). The manufacturing resource planning determines the quantity and timing of the production or purchase of subassemblies and raw materials needed to support the Master Production Scheduling(MPS). The bill of material is the recipe, a list of the materials needed to make a product. This paper intends to suggest a component-based materials management system using Unified Modeling Language(UML), as an application system for automobile part industry. Applying component based materials management systems designed with UML methodology, we analyzed the workflow and the document on materials management process from production planning to inventory management, and implemented a prototype of efficient materials management system, as a surrogate of existing material requirement planning(MRPI) system. To produce many other assemblies for a automobile part firm, component parts are assembled into subassemblies that are joined to assemble the finished product. Through the system suggested in this study, the level of inventory has cut down and the cost of inventory management has decreased. Also, the development method using UML makes the analysis and design phase to shorten in implementation period of MRPII system. The implementation of materials management system using CBD shows the ease of use in software reuse and the interoperability with corporate Internal information system. The result of applying object-oriented CBD technique is to minimize the risk of life cycle and facilitate the reuse of software as mentioned to limitation of information engineering methodology.

  • In this study, the author introduces a supply-chain management (SCM) solution that connects suppliers, manufacturers, customers, and other companies within a transactional relationship to enable efficient inventory management and timely product supply, which ultimately maximizes corporate profits. This proposed solution exploits Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), which provide solutions to complex management issues generated by the broader market. The goal of the current study was to develop an advanced and intelligent smart SCM solution that complies with logistics standards, to enhance the visibility, safety, and efficiency of a supply chain made up of manufacturers and suppliers. This smart SCM solution aims at maximizing corporate profits through efficient inventory management and timely supply of products, and solves the complex management problems caused by operating within a wide range of markets.

  • A one-upper level warehouse n-Iower level retailer inventory distribution model is discussed. This paper presents the parallel-type inventory structure using an order-up-to-level invertory control system for analyzing the approximation of the expected units back ordered and the measure of service. We find that the total expected backorder units in system can substitute the expected back orders in the last two periods for the expected back orders in total periods. The rate of total expected back orders which is the measure of disservice, is given by dividing the improved units of total expected backorder into the total demand during an order cycle. The average annual total cost in system is obtained by considering the results, but from the viewpoint of this study the cost analysis is not described.

  • This study aims at establishing JIT production management system to enable manage the resources input into from procurement through construction based on correct identification of the process, an analysis on the amount of input materials and information sharing. This study has focused on the process control and working process of rebar work in domestic apartment house construction where the overall scope of Process from the planning phase to the construction phase has been analyzed in this study. Also construction phase was selected for the application of a sample case. A basic model for JIT production was generated with these processes. Furthermore A questionnaire and the on-site survey with process, checklist and control data were prepared and performed for the application of JIT production management model into rebar work. The governing scopes of JIT production management system include process management, material management, yard loading and moving management and inventory control, and the operation of each control item

  • The shoes process management monitoring system for supporting SCM is developed in this study. This system consists of a monitoring program, a conveyer system, a pneumatic unit, a controller, an USB camera, and a server and a client computer. To operate the developed system easily, the monitoring program using LabVIEW in the Windows environment is developed. This program consists of 5 modules: production management, inventory control, media management, defective management, and communication management. The developed system has several advantages: reduced time for managing process work, decreased labor costs, effective operation, and continuous work without an operator. Nowadays advanced manufacturing companies are trying to find a way to check the performance of their production equipments and plants from remote sites. Thus, to manage the developed system from remote sites, communication network is constructed. In order to evaluate the performance of the monitoring system, experiments were performed. The experimental results showed that the developed system provided a reliable performance and a stable communication.

  • In this paper, the impact of various system parameters such as the parameters of actual demand process, the review periods and the lead times, under each combination of inventory policies and information sharing, on the long run average inventory cost per period incurred at each participant in a supply chain, is considered. For this purpose, numerical studies are conducted, from which some valuable information as to how sensitive our long run average inventory cost per period are as the model parameters change is gleaned, from which, in turn, some managerial insights are gleaned in order for industry practitioners to perform better in supply chain management.

  • 국내외시장의 환경변화에 따른 지속적인 혁신의 요구는 생산자 위주의 사고방식(product-out)에서 고객위주의 사고방식(market-in)으로 패러다임의 전환을 가져왔다 POS시스템은 이러한 패러다임의 변환에 일조했다고 보아도 무방할 것이다. POS시스템의 활용은 기업의 재고 수준효율화에 영향을 줄 것이며 또한 소비자 요구의 다양화 충족 등을 위한 광범위한 부문에 활용할 수 있는 기초 데이터를 제공해 줄 수 있는 시스템이라 할 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 POS시스템에 대한 기업들의 활용 정도를 알아보고 POS시스템의 필요성과 활용에 따른 전략적 대안을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 국내기업을 대상으로 조사한 총45부의 설문이 사용되었다. 분석결과로 국내기업의 POS시스템은 기업들간의 정보공유 및 협력이 부족한 실정이며, 실제적인 POS시스템의 적용이 미미한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 $4\%$의 기업만이 공급망 수준에서 POS 정보를 이용하고 있는 것으로 나타나 실제 산업에 대한 적용이 절실한 것으로 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study was to look up the proper inventory management system in construction industry. it is important for construction company to improve competitiveness and to reduce construction cost. Lot-sizing techniques were applied to rebar procurement in apartment project. The results of this study were as follows; the method of Groff's marginal cost showed the best performance of other techniques and the method of Norman showed a similar result.
