The fire protective coating can reduce certain damages in case of fire, also conserve energy by thermal insulation and prevent corrosion and errosion in normal daily life by means of blocking thermal transfer, that were generally made of organic, inorganic and metallic materials as adiabatic coating. In case of inorganic material such as soluble silicate, it produces less toxic substances which are exposed to Ore, and have a plenty of raw material. Also inorganic thermal insulator is good in heat resistance. To develope such a excellent inorganic thermal insulator, the study of fire protective coating using the alkali silicate is necessary The principle of intumescence for alkali silicate is from rapid evolution of water in the coating material, the quantity of water in it is of course influenced on the degree of intumescence. The phenomenon of intumescence in ternary silicate is increased as the radius of ion is bigger, and this is caused by evolution of so many kinds of water. The individual degree of intumescence is ordered like this ; $K^+$ > $Na^+$ > $Li^+$ . The best protection effect is similarity found to intumescence of ternary silicate. The result of X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that $KHSi_2O_5$ is an important ingredient in K-silicate.
To improve fire proofing characteristics of protective coating using ternary soluble silicate from two component mixture, the method of reducing solubility, increasing intumescence and protection time have been studied. Intumescence and solubility of ternary silicate mixtures were dependent on many kinds of water release and the strength of cation cross-links between polysilicate particles. Especially the effect of additive, for example, corn starch was investigated. However the solubility of ternary mixture is decrease in order of Na$^{+}$ >K$^{+}$ >Li$^{+}$, and the magnitute of intumescence is increased $K^{+}$ >Na$^{+}$ >Li$^{+}$.}$ +/.
To increase fire proofing characteristics of protective coating based on soluble alkali silicate, silicate coatings were studied on thermal properties, IR spectroscopy, solubility and intumescence. Intumescence and solubility of the samples were dependent on the strength of cationic cross-links between polysilicate particles. The degree of intumescence and solubility decrease K-silicate > Na-silicate > Li-silicate in the order. Especially Si$_2$O$_{5}$$^{-2}$ crystalline regions were found to exist in Potassium silicate sample. Mixture of two kinds of silicate, for example, Lithium silicate when added to sodium silicate or potassium silicate was find to significantly reduce efflorescence and increase water resistance. This appears to be a result of stronger crosslinking between polysilicate particles by the small lithium cation.
In order to investigate the effects on intumescence to fire protective coatings, the characteristics of solubility, hygroscopic nature and X-ray diffration results on soluble silicate were determined. Solubility is depended on the mutual action of each silicate. In the result of hygroscopic characteristics by water absorption under several kinds of relative humidity, lithium silicate is more stable than sodium and potassium silicate over moistures. Eventhough free water is evaporated over $100^{\circ}C$ , physically adsorption water and ionic water are eliminated about $200^{\circ}C$, but evolution of structural water is expected to be emitted between 400~$600^{\circ}C$ range. Those are considered to be contributed intumescence on soluble silicate.

The buildings constructed with steel structure are coated with certified fire resistive material to resist from fire. All the building materials lose their initial performances as time passes by, so they need some maintenance. The Sprayed Fire Resistive Material (SFRM) also loses its performance and this performance loss of the SFRM is very important because fire resistance of buildings depends on SFRM. So this study was aimed to synthesis of alkali-silicates for SFRM and to evaluate the effect of alkali-silicates, K-silicates, Na-silicates and Li-silicates, by exchange of mole ratios as basic factors, tested solubility, intumescence ratios, thermal analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, fire-resistant and heat-resistant.

Recently, the high-compressive strength concrete where the use is extending was weak in fire because of spalling that was occurring with rise of internal vapor pressure by high temperature. For preventing spalling of high-strength concrete in fire, Organic fibers have been using in concrete generally. By melting of organic fibers in concrete in fire, the internal moistures of concrete moves quickly to the outside, and so, preventing of spalling of high-strength concrete. But this method will be able to prevent the spalling of high-strength concrete, but makes the decrease of the concrete strength after fire. This study make a comparison between properties of preventing of spalling and remaining compressive strength of concrete using intumescence Alkali-Silicates fire-resistant material and that of concrete with organic fibers. Using organic fibers for preventing of spalling of concrete are P.P and Nylon fibers, and anti-fire intumescence material for protection of concrete surface is alkali-silicate materials. Fire resistance test executed as long as 3 hr under the flame temperature $1,200^{\circ}C$ over. In the case of concrete with P.P fibers, don't occurred the spalling, but the remaining compressive strength will not be able to measure, the concrete using intumescence Alkali-Silicates system fire-resistant material is not only preventing of the spalling but also the remaining compressive strength maintained until the maximum 96%.

Flame retard of polymers was studied for prevention from burning by various additives stimulated the char formation during heating and thermal degradation of polymer materials. Forming char have high porosity, low thermal conductivity and act as thermal shield for heat transmission from the flame to the polymer and. oxygen towards the polymer. The results showed that various additives may regulate the processes of intumecsence. The efficient fire protective intumescent char was result of processes of melting, gas evolution, cross-linking, carbonization etc.
New compounds of melaminium 2,6,7-trioxa-1-phosphabicyclo[2.2.2]octane-4-methoxy-sulfate have been synthesized and characterized by means of chemical analysis, 1H, 13C, and 31P NMR, and IR spectroscopies. When the compounds are subjected to an open flame, they foam without melting to produce a light char with about 50 times volume of the initial compounds. The evaluation of these flame-retardants proves to be efficient for polypropylene. Thermogravimetric analysis discloses that the compounds are also thermally stable for compounding into polypropylene without decomposition.
We referred to twenty-two Korean medicinal literatures for application of a single-medicine prescription using Asparagi Tuber(Asparagus cochinchinensis) to form the groundwork for scientific modernization of Korean medicine. Our study revealed the following. 1. Principle expectant effects of Asparagi Tuber were prolong life; elevation of stamina or activity; improvement of asthenia; remedy of epilepsy, mental disease or convulsions; relief of xerosis; treatment of tumor, abscess or intumescence; extermination of endoparasite; solution of numbness, etc. 2. The records show that 95% of directions are per oral. 3. 38% of the cases, Asparagi Tuber was used without its jacket or core. 4. Alcohol and honey were generally used as solvent and additive. We suggest to perform the further studies for the scientific verification of the expectant effects of Asparagi Tuber and its different efficacy by processing, solvent and additives.

Cluster systems are microcrystals of vanadiumoxided compounds such as Barium, Calcium or Sodium Metavanadates or Sodium Vanadium Bronze which are distributed into dimethyl- or diethylphosphites or microcrystals of vanadium oxides, for instance, vanadium oxide (+3), distributed into the methylphosphonic acid melted. During the interaction of vanadium compounds with the correspondent phosphororganic substances biue viscous liquids are formed. These liquids have paramagnetic properties. According to the UV and IR spectroscopic investigations as well as the results of EPR spectra the substances obtained consist of the nucleus containing 6 to 12 of vanadium atoms and the shell including ligands which are molecules of phosphites or methylphosphonic acid. Here every atom of vanadium interacts with four of phosphorus containing molecules. Sizes of the particles in these systems donot exceed 200 nm. Introduction of cluster systems (0,1 -0,3 % vanadium) into epoxy compositions before the introduction of curing agent - polyethylenepolyamine 6 -8 % leads to the acceleration of composition crosslinking and to the combustion decreasing: 1) Oxygen Index grows to 35: 2)mass losses during combustion decrease to 1-2%, 3) combustion time does not exceed 1 s; 4) the intumescence of material sample is being observed during the burner action as well as the foam coke formation.
