The notion of transitive filters is introduced in lattice implication algebras. A necessary and sufficient condition is derived for every filter to become a transitive filter. Some sufficient conditions are also derived for a filter to become a transitive filter. The concept of absorbent filters is introduced and their properties are studied. A set of equivalent conditions is obtained for a filter to become an absorbent filter.

A monitoring process of a communication network with two links is analyzed. The Markov process is introduced to compute busy and idle portions of monitoring processor and monitored rate of each link. Inter-idle times and inter-monitoring ties of monitoring processor between two links are respectively computed. A recursive formula is introduced to make the computational procedure rigorous.

Nielsen coincidence theory is concerned with the estimation of a lower bound for the number of coincidences of two maps $f,g: X \longrightarrow Y$. For this purpose the so-called Nielsen number N(f,g) is introduced, which is a lower bound for the number of coincidences ([1]). The relative Nielsen number N(f : X,A) in the fixed point theory is introduced in [3], which is a lower bound for the number of fixed points for all maps in the relative homotopy class of f:(X,A) $\longrightarrow$ (X,A), and its estimation is given in [5].

The effectiveness of an actual combat tank system is analyzed. A measure of effectiveness which includes performance and reliability called pseudo-reliability is introduced. A model is introduced to optimize the design of the system in which the system pseudo-reliability is maximized subject to cost constraint. This model is a nonlinear programming problem and is solved by the sequential unconstrained minimization technique (SUMT). A numerical exampl with actual data from the test evaluation of five combat tanks is used to illustrate the model.

The notion of generalized intuitionistic fuzzy sets (GIF sets) was introduced by Mondal and Samanta [J. Fuzzy Math. 10(4) (2002) 839-861]. By this notion, a notion of GIF filters is introduced and studied. Also a new notion of of Hausdorffness is defined on GIF filters and tlleir properties are studied to some extent.

A quadruped monitoring robot is introduced. The robot has several features that poses arbitrary position thanks to a 4-wheel hive mechanism, transmits an image and command data via RF wireless communication, and moreover, the imaged date are transferred through a network communication. The robot plays a role in monitoring what is happening around the robot and covers wide range due to a moving camera operated by the 4-wheel mechanism. The robot system can be applied k versatile models based the distinguished techniques introduced in this paper

In development process of engine lubrication system, many failure cases are related with aeration problem. Therefore, it is very important to clarify the aeration in the engine oil circuit system. As of today, many factors have been introduced as the major cause in the engine oil aeration. However, still many test data related with those are required to clearly understand it. In this paper the aeration measurement system and calculation method are introduced. And also using this system we measured engine oil aeration for various cases. From these results some conclusions are reduced.

This paper introduces a history and achievements of the research activities on screening of laryngeal diseases using acoustic analysis. First domestic and international research trends are introduced. Next brief introduction of the research results by the authors are mentioned. First, classification method of the laryngeal diseases using neural network is summarized. Then similar research using ARS (Automatic Response System) is mentioned. Finally, current research activities on screening of laryngeal diseases on internet is introduced.

It contains the status of Korean fisheries industry, background and the scope of ranching project being conducted by KORDI since 1996. We have investigated introduced foreign molluscs into Korea since 1993. A total of 2,338 species of 157 families were investigated. Among them, 2,013 species of 106 families were gastropods, 307 species of 44 families were bivalves, nine species of two families were scaphopods, and nine species of four families in cephalopods. 2,128 species were newly given Korean name.
