This paper analyses the real-time performance of Ethernet based intranet whether it is applicable to the real-time network. Unpredictability of transmission delay by collision-delay-retransmission mechanism in CAMA/CD(Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detect) of Ethernet is the major reason making hard to apply to real-time system. Both retransmission mechanism of TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) for reliability and sliding windows algorithm for high utilization make hard to predict transmission delay. Recently, factory automation and shop floor control system need a web based remote monitoring technology to control effectively machine tool. This paper describes a web based remote monitoring system which is concerned with open architecture controller for machine tool. The environment of this system consists of a lot of elements such as web server, database, machine tool, pc based controller, client computers and script programs, also which is interconnected by network including intranet or internet. Designed script programs, also which is interconnected by network including intranet or internet. Designed script program service current status and faults information of machine to remote users who want to monitor machine tool. Additionally those have various functions to service we board for q&a, downloading data and information of after-service managers.

Fans are widely used in household electrical appliances due to their easy usage and high performance for cooling capacity. However, the noise generated by these fans causes one of serious problems. LG electronics makes the intranet software for design and analysis of fan. Axial, sirocco and centrifugal fan can be designed and analyzed by using the IFD(Intranet Based Fans Design) software. In order to calculate the aeroacoustic noise of a fan, the numerical method, which can calculate the acoustic pressure at the blade passing frequency and its higher harmonic frequencies, has been developed. To calculate the unsteady resultant force of the blade, vortex method is used. This paper shows the overview of the software and validates the accuracy of predicted noise of fan.

Recently a new multi-attribute analysis method is one of the evident areas of important points in the decision support system analysis. The area of decision support system may be broken into three primary area: idea generation, multi-attribute structured analysis method, and the integration of the results of analysis. This research developed an internet/intranet-based solution builder for a three-step decision support system in the view of 1) brainstorming for the idea generation, 2) analytic hierarchy process as a multi-attribute structured analysis method and 3) aggregating logic model to integrate the results of individual analysis. A computer program is developed and demonstrated in internet/intranet-based decision problem. This solution builder provides decision makers a good tool for remote group decision making.

본 논문은 클라이언트/서버 모델을 기반으로 한 분산 시스템(Distributed System)의문제들을 해결하기 위해 자바(Java)객체를 위한 이동 시스템을 설계 구현한다. 이를 위해, 자바 객체가 이동 객체 모델이 되기 위한 특성을 제시한다. 그리고 , 제안된 이동 시스템은 이동 객체들이 인트라넷(Intranet)상의 노드 등으로 이동되었을 때 해당 객체들을 수용할 뿐 아니라 자율적으로 실행할수 있는 가상 장소를 제공하는 환경이다. 따라서, 자바 객체에 대해 객체 이동 및 이동 투명성을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 이동 객체로서 분산 처리가 가능한 컴퓨팅 환경을 제공하므로, 기존 분산 시스템 구조로 인한 성능 및 통신 오버헤드(Overhead)문제등을 효율적으로 개선한다.

최근에 인터넷을 통한 WWW(World Wide Web)이 전 세계적으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 따라서, 매년 인터넷을 사용하는 사람의 수도 매우 빠른 속도로 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 인터넷이나 인트라넷 모두, 현재의 네트워크 용량으로 모든 사용자들의 요구를 적절하게 수용할 수 없다. 따라서, 학계와 산업계의 전문가들이 WWW 캐슁에 많은 노력을 하고 있다. 적절히만 구성된다면, 웹 캐슁 시스템은 현저한 네트워크 대역폭의 사용량 감소를 가져올 수 있고, 네트워크 레이턴시를 줄일 수 있다. 이것은 VOD(Video On Demand)의 경우와 같은 멀티미디어 스트리밍 데이터 전송 환경에서도 적용된다. 본 연구에서, 인트라넷 환경하에서 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송하는데 가장 비용이 적게드는 최적의 솔루션을 찾으려 한다. 이를 위해서, 테스트환경을 구축하고, 실험적 측정을 수행하였다. 그리고 그 결과를 토대로 여러 가지 현상에 대해서 분석하였다.

Satellite and aerial images are very useful means to monitor ecological and environmental situation. Nowadays more and more officials at Ministry of Environment in Korea need to access and use these image data through networks like internet or intranet. However it is very hard to manage and service these image data through internet or intranet, because of its size problem. In this paper very large image data service system for Ministry of Environment is constructed on web environment using image compression and web based image processing technology. Through this system, not only can officials in Ministry of Environment access and use all the image data but also can achieve several image processing effects on web environment. Moreover officials can retrieve attribute information from vector GIS data that are also integrated with the system.
