  • Objective: The aim of this study is to suggest some improvement ideas based on the validity and the reliability analyses of the current safety culture measurement method applied to the Korean nuclear power industry. Background: Wrong safety culture is known as one of the major causes of the disasters such as the space shuttle Columbia disaster or the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant accident. Assessment of safety culture of an organization is important to build a safer organizational environment as well as to identify the risks hidden in the organization. Method: A face validity of the current safety culture measurement method was analyzed by comparison of the key factors of safety culture in the Korean nuclear power industry with those factors reviewed in the previous studies. The current interview method was analyzed to identify the problems which degrade the consistency of evaluation. Results: Most safety culture factors reviewed in the literatures are covered in the list of the Korean nuclear power industry safety culture factors. However the unstructured questions used in the interview may result in inconsistency of safety culture evaluation among interviewers. Conclusion: This study suggests some examples which might improve the consistency of interviewers' evaluation on safety culture such as a post interview evaluation form. Application: An extended post interview evaluation form might help to increase the accuracy of the interviewing method for Korean nuclear industry safety culture evaluation.

  • This paper analyzes statistically the relationship between size and balance of text corpus by evaluation of the effect of interview sentences in language model for Korean broadcast news transcription system. Our Korean broadcast news transcription system's ultimate purpose is to recognize not interview speech, but the anchor's and reporter's speech in broadcast news show. But the gathered text corpus for constructing language model consists of interview sentences a portion of the whole, $15\%$ approximately. The characteristic of interview sentence is different from the anchor's and the reporter's in one thing or another. Therefore it disturbs the anchor and reporter oriented language modeling. In this paper, we evaluate the effect of interview sentences in language model for Korean broadcast news transcription system and analyze statistically the relationship between size and balance of text corpus by making an experiment as the same procedure according to varying the size of corpus.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the adaptability of AAI(Adult Attachment Interview) in Korea. The subjects were 20 mothers who had toddlers from middle class. AAI was administrated to them. Interviews were audiotaped and transcribed verbatim. The results showed that Korean Mothers' AAI classifications were Secure-Autonomous(F) 60%, Insecure=Dismissing(Ds) 20%, Insecure-Preoccupied(E) 5%, Insecure-Unresolved/disorganized(U/d) 15%. The classification of AAI was significantly related with mothers' education, but not mothers' age. Autonomous mothers discribed consistently in evaluation of attachment-related experiences and valued attachment. Dismissing mothers showed a incoherent discourse and dismissed attachment-related experiences and relations. Preoccupied mother sticted to past attachment relationship and perplexed with evaluation of these experiences. Unresolved mothers showed lapse during discussion of loss or abuse and were not free from past experiences. Based on the findings of the study, it was found th AAI(Adult Attachment Interview) can be used for evaluation of mother's internal working model in Korean culture.

Methods: A communication curriculum was developed considering COVID-19 pandemic situation. Lectures, peer role-play, open interview with standardized patient (SP), discussion and feedback were conducted by online, and face-to-face 1:1 SP-interview was performed. Scores of written test, peer role-play of medical communication, SP-interview, self-evaluation on one's interview with real patients in clinical clerkship, and questionnaire of importance were collected and analyzed. Results: Converted to 100 point scale, the mean score of written test (cognitive level) was 91.2 while that of importance questionnaire (affective level) was 77.5. The mean scores of psychomotor level were 72.5, 77.5, and 62.5 for peer role-play, SP-interview, and real patient interview in clerkship, respectively. Conclusions: Students' performance is lower in higher level of competence. Curriculums should provide more opportunities of practices to students, and include evaluation focusing on performance skills.

  • Objectives: This article describes the effectiveness of, and student satisfaction with, the medical interview course. Methods: In the years 2010 and 2011, forty-two students took the medical interview course at the School of Korean Medicine, Pusan National University. The evaluation of the course was conducted using student questionnaires. Results: The students believed that learning medical interview skills was very helpful, and there was an increase in the number of students who thought they could improve their skills by learning the medical interview course contents. Also, they have come to feel that 'building a relationship' is the most important skill in the medical interview process. We used experiential teaching methods such as doctor-patient role-playing, and the students rated that method better than others. In addition, the students responded that the appropriate time to take a medical interview course is in the middle of a clinical practice. They also thought that the current credit value of the course was appropriate. Moreover, the students wanted to add some specific contents about specialized communication skills for Korean medical treatment. Conclusions: The medical interview course received a favorable evaluation from the students who finished the course. Among the course contents, they were most concerned with building the doctor-patient relationship. Also, they preferred experiential teaching methods more than didactic methods. The current timing and credit value of the medical interview class was evaluated as appropriate, and the students felt that communication skills specific to Korean medical treatment need to be taught. Therefore, we conclude the medical interview course is important and is worth considering as an independent course.

  • The interview for the selection of army officers had a lot of interview questions and topical content, so it was difficult to prepare for military officers applicants. Applicants who pass the written evaluation will be selected after passing the final interview. However, as the number of applicants is relatively decreasing due to the improvement of the treatment of the soldiers, it is expected that there will be a shortage of executives to operate advanced equipment in the future. To ensure that excellent applicants do not drop out of the final interview, we intend to provide interview-related data and suggest a unique interview direction for applicants.

Methods : We searched the recent date of the publication and paper in ADHD. Results : For Assesment and Diagnosis of ADHD, various method such as interview with parents, child and teacher, behavior observation, behavior rating scales and neuropsychological test are used. The structured interview consists of the restrictive questions and response, and then have diagnostic algorithm, consequently can be used by untrained clinicians. Of the structured interview, standardization of K-SADS in Korean version is finished. Behavior rating scales, the form of parent, teacher and self-report questionnaires, are used as diagnosis and treatment evaluation of ADHD. Behavior rating scales consist of both ADHD-specific scales and broad-band scales designed to screen for various symptoms (including ADHD symptoms). ADHD-specific scales are useful in differential diagnosis, discrimination of subtype, treatment evaluation, However, broad-band scales are useful in preliminary examination. The neuropsychological tests can evaluate attention deficit and effect of attention deficit on cognitive function and academic performance. The neuropsychological tests also used in diagnosis and treatment evaluation of ADHD. Conclusion : For Assesment and Diagnosis of ADHD, various method are used, especially behavior rating scales are both useful and simple tool for diagnosis and treatment evaluation.

The subjects of this study was 524 male and female(262 of male, 262 of female) university students from 3 universities in Kwangju, Korea. The data were analysed using factor analysis. descriptive statistics, regression, path analysis. The results were as follows : 1. In bogus job interview. the direct effect of perceived facial attractiveness on task performance evaluation was .175 and the indirect effect mediated by likability and trait evaluation was .285 in path analysis model. The direct effect of perceived appropriateness of clothing on task performance evaluation was .111 and the indirect effect mediated by likability only was .0564 in pass analysis model. 2. In dating situation, the direct effect of perceived facial attractiveness on task performance evaluation was .355, the indirect effect mediated by likability and trait evaluation was .188 in path analysis model. The direct effect of perceived appropriateness of clothing on task performance evaluation was .108, the indirect effect mediated by likability and trait evaluation was .060 in Pass analysis.
