International Exposition Yeosu Korea 2012 was held from May 12th 2012 to August 12th 2012 in New Port area of Yeosu-city, Jeollanam-do, Korea. 105 Nations and 10 international organizations participated in this mega event, and the total number of visitors amounts to 8.2 million. This study appraises the effectiveness of preparation for Yeosu Exposition. The main focus of this study is not on criticizing the problems that occurred in the transport measures. Instead, it looks at the current aspects of establishment and execution process and suggests how they can be applied differently in future transport management for international mega events held in Korea. The suggestions of this study are as follows. First, when establishing transport management plans for international mega events, the geographical features and trip resistance of the venue must be taken into consideration. Second, tasks should be distributed distinctly between the central government and the local government in order to prevent any dissension or inefficiency. Third, transport management needs to be consistent and transport guidance should be efficient in an effort to minimize visitor inconvenience. Last, transport management must be regarded as objective and rational from the outside view and the budget should follow timely based on this account.

It has widely been recognized that the EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea was a succeeded mega event, according to, at least, the international media's attention and reports. This study analysed and compared the trends of the international media's reports on Yeosu in terms of before, preparing, during, and, after periods of the event, through a semantic network analysis. It was revealed that the images of Yeosu have dramatically been upgraded. The city of Yeosu, before the event, was a small port city of South Korea's southern part of peninsula. The city, after the nomination for the next host city of the exposition, was described to a city who had a full potentiality to host a world exposition, not a southern port city of South Korea. After the event was opened, Yeosu was a city of cutting-edge technology and cultural creativity, who had contributed to solve our humankind's pending ecological problems. Even after the events closed, Yeosu was continuously impressed as a ex-city of world exposition, a hub city of Asia trade, and a center for marine ecological restoration. It was suggested that extended monitoring, differentiated communication strategies, long-term planning, and professionalization of the staffs.

With Expo 2012 Yeosu to be held in 2012, this study intends to propose designs for fashion cultural products into which the characteristics of local cultures of Yeosu are fused. Using symbols of Expo 2012 Yeosu and cultural symbols of Yeosu City as motifs, this study will develop patterns and then, apply them to neckties, handkerchiefs, and T-shirts. Adobe Illustrator CS2 and Adobe Photoshop CS2 will be used. This study developed basic motifs so that cultural resources using camellia, Odong Island, and the Turtle Ship, which represent Yeosu City, could be well harmonized with the topic of Expo 2012 Yeosu. This paper set three basic motifs of new formative images, using graphic images that were made by omission of forms, simplification, overlap, repetition, and calligraphy of the name of Yeosu holding the event. Each set motif was expanded to three motifs again through change, conversion, and mixture of colors, and three types of repetitive applied patterns were developed through revolution, symmetry, repetition, and reversal of each motif. The modern and refined image for neckties, to which the developed motif was applied, was made by directly applying the repetitive pattern of each motif or by making $45^{\circ}$ revolution. For handkerchiefs, revolution, enlargement, reduction, and gradation were applied to the motif so the pattern could be highlighted to the maximum and finally, a colorful image was developed. For T-shirts, three designs-a half-sleeved box type, a sleeveless round neckline type, and a sleeveless V-neckline tight type-were developed, through which availability of the design was increased. Through enlargement, reduction, revolution, and repetition of each motif, this paper layout the pattern on the whole part of a T-shirt, pursuing a decorative and casual image.

The objective of this paper is to investigate both the processes of regional policy and their determinants of the International Garden Exposition Suncheon Bay Korea 2013(IGEXPO 2013). IGEXPO 2013 was held in Suncheon from April to October 2013, and almost 440 million tourists visited to IGEXPO 2013. The processes of regional policy of the IGEXPO initiative were divided into four stages; the first stage from 1992 to 2002 was a beginning of conservation movement for Suncheon Bay; the second stage from 2003 to 2007 was a constructing of natural ecological park of Suncheon Bay; the third stage from 2008 to 2010 was a beginning of IGEXPO initiative and a confirming of the IGEXPO 2013; the four stage from 2011 to 2013 was a preparing and holding of IGEXPO 2013. The major determinants related to regional policy development process of IGEXPO initiative are the population n movement for Suncheon Bay, the rergional development strategy for central city in Gwangyang Bay area, the leadership for continuity of regional policy oriented to environmental and ecological city, and the cooperation and competition relationalship with neighboring city, in particular Yeosu city and 2012Yeosu EXPO planning. IGEXPO 2013 has been evaluated as having some performances such as the enhancement of city image, establishment of city park as a public goods, and formation of community leadership promoting continuous urban policy for environmental & ecological city.

Recently, alarmed by the frequent international terrorism or safety accidents, the host countries of world sports events are focusing on security activities for the sake of the participants, facilities, events and competitions. They are alarmed because in case any happenings like international terrorism or safety accident, the contest itself can be criticized to be a failure as much as the international reliability of the host nation may well crash. We can see that any failure in coping with terrorism or safety matters can lead to a nation-wise crisis in the case of Indonesia where the October 12th of 2002 terrorist bomb attack in Bali damaged the image of the nation followed by the similar case in Philippine (Oct. 20th, 2002) where the same terrorist attack dramatically scared away the tourists to the nation. Korea is scheduled to hold the World Championship in Athletics in Daegu Metropolitan City in 2011. Also, it is slated to host various world sports events such as Yeosu International Exposition and Incheon Asian Games. In these contexts, this study analyzes counter-terrorism cases related with the recent international sports events that have been organized in a variety of manners in the era of globalization. This study aims to show alternatives for the safety management in these events. In other words, it is focusing on giving directions to the safety policies of the nation -which may become the future hub of north-east Asia and the world - for more perfect guard and defense, and counter-terrorism activities in all the conferences, sports events and international festivals where any private defense and guard companies are allowed to cooperate with the police force or public security agencies.
