  • Levosulpiride is the levo-enantiomer from of racemic sulpride. abenzamide derivative selectively inhibition doparninergic D2 receptos at the trigger zone both in the central nervous system and in the gastrointestinal tract. We report a rapid and sensitive HPLC method using reverse phase C 18 column with fluorescence detection for separation and quantitation of levosulpiride in plasma. Tiapride was used as an internal standard. After adding an internal standard. levosulpiride in 800 ${\mu}l$ of plasma was extracted under basic conditions with ethyl acetate and methylene chloride. • Recently soil improvement methods are using in many ways such as costal and soft ground of inland. Among them, sand compaction pile be widely used because of quiet few advantages. There are two ways for quality evaluation method of sand compaction pile. Especially standard penetration test is used the most general method. However, Current method have problems in that it is not consider the condition of construction site. Therefore this study is propose new quality evaluation method. Relation of N-$\Phi$ is always not fixed but changing by condition of construction site. By through the Laboratory test we can know relationship between relative density and internal friction. Also this study propose revision for effective stress. From these study, we can acquire more accurate and reasonable result than current method.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a standard tool of pattern identification, which will be applied to clinical research, for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Method: The items and structure of the instrument were based on a review of the published literature in China and Korea. The advisory committee on this study included 11 kidney-endocrine professors of the Korean Medical Colleges Division and 4 Korean medicine doctors who had a doctor's degree in the Kidney-Endocrine Division. The advisory committee was questioned regarding pattern identification importance, symptom weight, treatment importance, changes in the symptoms, rare changes in the symptoms, and frequency of prescriptions regarding benign prostatic hyperplasia. Results: The Korean instrument of pattern identification was completed; it was composed of four questions for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Conclusion: We sincerely look forward to improving the instrument through the continuous clinical studies.

  • Twenty two Korean anthracites obtained places were quantitatively analyzed by the internal standard method and direct method. The range of deviation the results obtained by the two methods is about ${\pm}$3%. The ratio of graphite to amorphous carbon contents of each samples is very different according to the district of coal mine. The ratio of graphite contents in Mun Kyung district is from 14 to 24 %, Dae Chun district is from 12 to 14 % and Kang Won district is from 3 to 5 %. We have known athat the anthracites of Kang Won district are the least graphite contents.

  • The method of reinforced earth walls has grown remarkably and the frequency of utilization has been increased on a national scale thereafter introduced in the middle 1980s in Korea. Furthermore the construction case of the extensive Geosynthetic-Reinforced Segmental Retaining Walls had been increased. Currently, the design criterion of FHWA and NCMA mainly used in Korea suggest determining the horizontal distance of the upper/lower retaining wall based on the study results of the internal stability and the external stability of Segmental Retaining Walls but in many cases are not suitable for the actual situation in Korea. Therefore, in this study reviewed the design criterion of Geosynthetic-Reinforced Segmental Retaining Walls, performed the internal and external stability in Paju, Gyeonggi-do based on the design criterion of FHWA and NCMA, suggested the modified design criterion of FHWA with analyzing the results, and performed the stability analysis for the internal and external stability and the compound failure. Moreover for the confirmation of the modified FHWA design standard, the suggestion and the analysis of the numerical analysis approaching method using shear strength reduction technique were performed and the design cases utilized the modified FHWA design standard based on the study analysis were introduced.

  • Quantitative analysis of iron ore sinter consisting of hematite, magnetite, calcium ferrite and slag was investigated by X-ray internal standard method. After selecting NaF and $SiO_2$as internal standard materials, the calibration curves were determined and were applied to quantitative analysis of the internal standard method. Calcium ferrite was identified as a solid solution of CaO.$2Fe_2$$O_3$with 7 wt% and 3 wt% solubility of $AI_2$$O_3$and $SiO_2$, respectively. The maximum deviation of quantitative analysis of synthetic iron ore was about $\pm$5 wt%. The contents of each mineral calculated in industrial sinter were 27~40 wt% of hematite, 20~30 wt% of magnetite, 22~33 wt% of calcium ferrite and 10~20 wt% of slag.

  • Nowadays in Korea, KS F 2271(Testing method for incombustibility of internal finish material and element of buildings) has been using for the evaluation of fire safety performance of sandwich panels. The test method in Japan and in Korea was based on the same way. When the Japanese standard building code was revised in 2000, the test method in the ISO 5660-1 was adopted for the test method for combustion performance of internal finishing materials and elements of buildings. According to this, the revision version of draft substituting the test method in the KS F 2271 for one in the ISO 5660-1(Cone Calorimeter method) is informed in Korea. In this study, combustion properties of sandwich panels were tested using the cone calorimeter method. Ignition time, peak heat release rate and total heat released of four sandwich panels and four core materials (thermal insulation material), which are widely used in Korea, were tested. Test results were analyzed for each specimen. Finally, test results were classified by Japanese standard building code and Canadian NBC revised.

  • Using synchronous surface pressures from the wind tunnel test, the three dimensional wind load models of high-rise buildings are established. Furthermore, the internal force responses of symmetric high-rise buildings in along-wind, across-wind and torsional directions are evaluated based on mode acceleration method, which expresses the restoring force as the summation of quasi-static force and inertia force components. Accordingly the calculation methods of equivalent static wind loads, in which the contributions of the higher modes can be considered, of symmetric high-rise buildings in along-wind, across-wind and torsional directions are deduced based on internal forces equivalence. Finally the equivalent static wind loads of an actual symmetric high-rise building are obtained by this method, and compared with the along-wind equivalent static wind loads obtained by China National Standard.

  • Purpose: The thoracodorsal vessels have been the standard recipient vessels for the majority of surgeons performing free abdominal flap breast reconstructions. Recently, the internal mammary vessels have been recommended as the first - choice recipient vessels for microvascular breast reconstruction. To approach the internal mammary vessel, 3rd or 4th rib cartilage excision is needed, but this method has some demerits - vessel injury, post operative pain and post operative chest hollowness. So, authors propose the approach method to the internal mammary vessel through intercostal space without rib cartilage resection. Methods: From November, 2008 to May, 2009, 13 patients underwent free abdominal flap breast reconstruction with approach to the internal mammary vessel through intercostal space without rib cartilage resection. Results: The mean patient age was 41.8 years, and the mean height was 159.3 cm. 11 patients underwent immediate breast reconstruction. Free DIEP flap reconstruction was performed in 7 patients, Free TRAM flap was performed in 5 patients, and Free SIEA flap was performed in 1 patient. Except 1 case, approach to the internal mammary vessel was took through 3rd intercostal space, and all width of intercostal space exceeded 1 cm. Conclusion: In the authors' experience, use of approach to the internal mammary vessels without rib cartilage resection method is safe and reliable to overcome demerits of rib cartilage resection method.
