Present structure design has a problem arising from the fact that present apartment housing design doesn't satisfy user's diverse demand. An aim of this study on searching out the alternative to solve this problem. The results of study are as follows : 1) Methods of flexible structure are analyzed to reflect user's needs and practical example of those proposed. 2) To raise the flexibility of design reinforced concrete pannel wall system are selected. The basic types of T and II for the figures of pannel are adopted. As a result it brought so much open space not having influenced on the load of construction that it enhances the flexibility of the space allocation. Also that made it easy to meet the user's demand for 8 kinds of plan types are easily designed according to the arrangement of the space and its scale. These results will become basic data of future unit plan design in apartment housing.

According to the increase in number of persons who have physical impediments in this country, the importance on the convenient facility for physically disabled persons is gradually being extended as well. This thesis is focused on the small scale interior design plan for the disabled persons in diminutive symptoms among several kinds of congenital or postnatal impediments. Just like the other disabled persons, the public convenient facility or special space is not required, but I have reviewed the matters to have to be improved and the present residing shape of the disabled persons under the diminutive symptoms in order to provide the interior design available for the joint uses together by and between non-handicapped and handicapped persons as such undersized persons have recently been differentiated together with handicapped persons within the small scale house space.

The purpose of this study is to develop the basis data for methods of the plan to make the office space of the psychological environment by survey of preference to users in Department Store. The results are as follows : First, we could know that the space plan has to be considered the privacy and sociality for the psychological environment in office space. Second, we could know that there are efficient methods of space plan to use the cutoff division by partitions, the psychological division by furniture and the sensitive division by material for privacy in office and resting space. For sociality, there are efficient arrangement methods to plan by division type in office space and by opening type in resting space. And it is good method to use by color that is one in esthetical elements. Third, if we considered users, it is good method to use partitions to cutoff from the floor to the ceiling for privacy in office space and to use movable furnitures to cutoff for privacy in resting space. Forth, we could know that there is the difference in methods of space plan to be preferred by user's variables for privacy and sociality in office and resting spaces. Thus, i think that we have to study considering user's variables and types of department store.

The purpose of this research is to suggest the ultimate solution to the interior elements and ways to express specific function within interior design of the new high-speed train station in Korea through careful studies based on the characteristics of each areas in the stations. During the research, it became very clear that the most important points in designing of the high speed train station's interior space can be found from close examination on whether each space allocation was thoughtfully organized to provide enough space to accommodate various activities of the users. Another point is to realize, within the space program, that there should be a clear understanding of the future expansion plan and reserving sufficient areas for the future growth. Also the problem of requiring larger floor areas to accommodate various functions divided by separate units must be recognized simultaneously during the programming. The new high-sped train must be able to function as a multi service facility of the future. In summary this research is to present datas and suggestion to various areas in the station and redefine its new meaning of train station space program with much borader concept which can be adopted to the process of better space programing.

Transformation of complexity and diverse life style of contemporary men have call for increase in demand of single's and couple's living space of one-room apartment. Feasibility for intensive use of one-room apartment, regardless of it's openness and flexible character, multiple function in a single concentrated room without privacy and lack of confrontation of the changes in diverse living pattern enhance uniformity which reflects as an essential problem. Therefore, this study is to present a direction of one-room apartment interior space planning to differentiate from the existing system of uniformity and it's problems. Within the concept of flexibility, establishment of the flexibility factors for the application of hinged system with a movable furniture to compose a flexible space. In conclusion, the applications of hinged system concept of sliding, folding, over-hangings, are applied in existing one-room apartment plan to enhance flexible space planning which to drive in motivation and adaptation of the dweller's life cycle.

The purpose of this research is to suggest improved storage spaces for each room after taking POE survey of a selected twelve houses which were built according to the standard plan for houses in farming and fishing areas by the government from '94 This research was promoted to suggest suitable storage spaces for each room. The focus being on shoe chest storage in the entrance TV and audio set storage decorated shelves in the living room fixed furniture and storage in the bed room cupboard in the kitchen and storage space in multiple purpose room, Based on the number type NONGJIN-95-25-D which is the most popular type in the standard plan for houses in the farming and fishing areas during 1995. According to the survey those 12 points wee of discomfort and the people preferred fixed and modular furniture based on movable shelves. moveable self-assemblable modular furnishings, The survey can be the fundamental data to make that kind of plan for the farming and fishing and fishing people according to their taste.

This study was carried out to understand the characteristics of stairs in Palladio's villa. The subject of study are selected the twenty two villas with drawing in his book ‘The four books of Architecture’. Their cases are represented the characteristics of stair in architectural composition. Accordingly, it was analyzed and classified the architectural characteristics into space, form and plan at a villa. In conclusion, in aspect of spacial plan, staircases of Palladio's villa was presented more open and light in comparison with darked space of the medieval age. And it was intended to the connection or division between spaces of different character In an aspect of formal plan, dynamic form of stairs was divided into the two types. First, it was represented the effect of articulation in form. Second, stairs were represented the diagonal with the shape of itself. In an aspect of plan, his idea is coexisted with traditional thought and rational idea through the arrangement of symmetry md asymmetry. But at any rate, his concern was sought for the reasonable position. Also, he had represented the various characteristics in stairs such as his works in Renaissance period.

The aim of study is examining the marketing strategies and analyzes space design which is reflected marketing strategy and design elements by coffee shop chains. For the purpose, field survey and the questionnaire survey are conducted in coffee shop chains in Myeong-dong in Seoul. The results of the questionnaire survey are analyzed through SPSS 18.0 program and these results compare with the field survey. The result of analysis were as follows; 1) The company have to plan the coffee shop chains which were reflected by consumer opinion. 2) The coffee shop chains have to plan independent atmosphere space for take out consumers. 3) The coffee shop chains have to consider suitable design elements according to condition of lease, an area and position. 4) The coffee shop chains have to have design marketing strategies which were reflected by space, furniture, color and lighting. 5) Companies should communicate with consumers actively.

Open education has brought about new concept and variation in educational quality , schools have adopted open education since mid 1980s. Since then ,open education has developed in Korea, but do not fit to the Korean educational situation without some modification in educational space. In the study, some theoretical backgrounds of open education reviewed from some literature were applied, and introduced the flexibility of the open education, some results of the analysis of flexibility space and furniture system. The purpose of this study is to suggest some of direction in the open education space for more advanced Korean education situation.
