  • In this paper, the animated simulation system (Anisim) is proposed in order to develope an efficient functional system verification tool. It displays the simulation results of the designed system using graphic animation with various models lot the target system. With simple interface definitions given by the user, Anisim generates interface codes automatically. Users can describe and model the target system with the generated interface codes. Since the simulation engine is implemented in C-language, modeling is very simple and simulation can be performed in real time.

  • A wire communication module for PLC controller was developed. This system consists of RF module interface part, RS232 serial communication control part, LED display part and control S/W with GUI interface. RF communication frequency is controlled by PLL controlling and communication rate is also controlled as 1200 and 4800 bps. Communication and control status are displayed on LED. As a S/W part, graphic user interface on Window 95 O.S. was developed. To show the validity of the developed system, severial communication and control of PLC system were experemented.

  • Virtual reality environment system is expected to be used as a new user interface tool oweing to its high immersiveness and high interactivity. To use VR interface effectively, we should identify the characteristics of the three-dimensional control tasks as if we did in two-dimensional graphic user interface environments. As a first step, we validated Fitts'law for the three-dimensional pointing tasks with the two input devices, Spaceball and Spacemouse.   • Computing environments are being more and more various due to the development of technologies. While existing computing environments used for fixed locations or particular purposes by requesting big scale monitors or complicate calculation performance, recent computing environments are used for a variety of locations and for a diversity of purposes by using various devices. Because of the needs, digital device convergence, which emphases portability and mobility, came out. However, almost researches for user interface are performed for big scale monitors or complicate calculation performance until now. By the reason, user interface on each small device is different from others, or is not appropriate for the purpose of small device. Therefore, this research is to design Zoomable User Interface (ZUI) that adapts for small devices by adding the existing user interface on small devices and haptic technologies, and to implement a user interface for PDA devices.

Development of the Power Simulation Tool for Energy Balance Analysis of Nanosatellites

  • The energy balance in a satellite needs to be designed properly for the satellite to safely operate and carry out successive missions on an orbit. In this study, an analysis program was developed using the MATLAB(R) graphic user interface (GUI) for nanosatellites. This program was used in a simulation to confirm the generated power, consumed power, and battery power in the satellites on the orbit, and its performance was verified with applying different satellite operational modes and units. For data transmission, STK(R)-MATLAB(R) connectivity was used to send the generated power from STK(R) to MATLAB(R) automatically. Moreover, this program is general-purpose; therefore, it can be applied to nanosatellites that have missions or shapes that are different from those of the satellites in this study. This power simulation tool could be used not only to calculate the suitable power budget when developing the power systems, but also to analyze the remaining energy balance in the satellites.

  • 자유곡면으로 이루어진 모형선의 표면을 가공할 수 있는 공작기계를 개발하고 서보시스템으로 절삭공구의 가공경로제어를 수행하였다. 서보시스템은 BLDC(Blushless DC) motor, 콘트롤 드라이버, 호스트 콘트롤러로 구성되어 있다. 또한 정밀한 가공을 위하여 PI제어기를 사용하였고 Visual C++를 이용한 GUI(Graphic User Interface)를 구성하였다. 개발된 자유곡면 가공시스템에 의해 모형선이 가공되었다.

  • In this paper, we developed a Widows 98 version off-line programming system which can simulate a track vehicle model in 3D graphics space. The track vehicle was adopted as an objective model. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Widows 98's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

  • 유체 모델을 기반으로 하는 국내의 유도 결합 플라즈마원의 시뮬레이터 개발 현황을 정리하였다. 전체 시뮬레이터를 구성하는 각 부분으로서, 전자 가열, 하전 입자 및 중성종 수송, sheath를 포함한 표면 반응, 그리고 GUI (Graphic User Interface) 및 전후처리기 등의 순으로 설명되었다. 현재까지 시뮬레이터에 구현된 화학 반응 데이터와 swarm 데이터도 정리하여 보았고, 앞으로의 개발 방향을 전망하여 보았다.

  • WUSB is a new technology which combines the speed and the security of wired USB with the easy use of wireless technology. In this paper, GUI for WUSB is designed and implemented to show the connectivity and contents of the WUSB devices. Also, the proposed GUI shows the log window while content transfers occur between the host and device. The proposed GUI can be used for various wireless technologies which provide wireless function with existing USB hosts and devices.
