터보 과급기와 중간 냉각기를 장착한 디젤기관의 성능 및 배출가스에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance and Exhaust GAS Characteristics of the Diesel Engine with Turbocharger and Intercooler)

  • Turbocharger has been used to increase the performance of diesel engine, especially ship engine , for years. Recently, the turbocharger is being adopted not only for an agricultural engine but also for an automobile engine. To improve the performance of diesel engine , the problem of the reduction of A/F ratio in high speed should be solved. Turbocharger is well known for its cost effectiveness, reliability and duration . In this study, an experiment was conducted to verify simulation program . The results for natural aspiration engine and turbocharged engine were compared. In order to estimate the characteristics of exhaust gas, D-13 mode was selected. Power, torque and BSFC of turbocharged engine were increased than those of natural aspiration engine by about 48%, 46% and 5%, respectively . The components in exhaust gas except NOx from turbocharger engine were less than the amount set up for 2000-year regulation.

소형 선박 디젤엔진의 질소산화물 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on NOx Reduction for a Small Marine Diesel Engine)

  • Air pollutants from a small marine diesel engine are increasing and the IMO(International Marine Organization) regulation asked for its reduction. In this study, NOx reduction technologies such as improvement of various cooling systems are applied to the small marine diesel engine. The various cooling systems are a intercooler, a heat exchanger for engine coolant, and an exhaust manifold by water cooling. These systems are tested on an engine dynamometer and a exhaust gas analyzer by a marine diesel engine test regulation. Test results are shows that the small marine engine are satisfied the IMO NOx regulations; Tire II.

자동차용 고무호스의 진동 절연성능 향상에 관한 연구 (Improvement of Insulation Performance of Vehicle Rubber Hoses)

  • We considered an approach in terms of materials for improvement of insulation performance of vehicle rubber hoses. Ethylene propylene rubber(EPDM) for heater hoses in cooling system and acrylic rubber(AR) for intercooler hose in intake system were chosen for mixing for the vibration and noise performance. We modified EPDM and AR through changing compound of base polymer, reinforcement fillers and additives. Dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA) was used to measure viscoelastic properties such as shear modulus and loss factor($tan{\delta}$). Vehicle acceleration test was also conducted to observe indoor changes in insulation performance of hoses.

  • The present study has been conducted to an analysis of two stage refrigeration cycle with alternative refrigerant R410A. In the analysis, single stage cycle (R22 and R410A) compared to COP changing with supercooling degree. Secondly, two stage refrigeration cycle is investigated to the existence of intercooler or supercooler. At results, supercooler contributes to the increase of cooling capacity and the decrease of COP.

이산화탄소를 이용한 냉동·냉장 시스템의 성능연구 (Performance of Carbon Dioxide System for Freezing and Refrigeration)

  • Performance of freezing and refrigeration systems in supermarket, which utilized $CO_2$ as a refrigerant, was investigated by using the Pack Calculation II. The configuration of simulated systems was basic parallel refrigeration system, cascade system, and two-stage system. The $CO_2$ cascade system showed higher COP than basic parallel R404A system by 13% for MT and 62% for LT, respectively. Among the $CO_2$ cascade systems, R717(MT)-$CO_2$(LT) showed the highest performance. Open-type intercooler method showed higher performance than liquid injection for the two-stage $CO_2$ systems.

  • 본 연구에서 항공기 엔진 내부 구성품의 구조 설계 결과에 대한 구조 안전성 평가 연구를 수행하였다. 엔진 내부 구성품에 라디에이터와 인터쿨러가 장착된다. 따라서 비행중에 라디에이터와 인터쿨러의 안전성을 검토하였다. 구조 해석을 통해 구조 안전성을 평가하였다. 구조 해석 기법은 유한 요소 해석 기법을 활용하였다. 구조 설계 및 해석을 위하여 가속도 하중을 고려하였다. 구조 안전성 평가 결과 구조 설계 결과는 타당한 것으로 확인되었다.

플래쉬 중각냉각기와 플래쉬 가스 바이패스를 이용한 이단압축 이산화탄소 사이클의 냉방성능에 관한 해석적 연구 (Simulation Study on the Cooling Performance of the Two-Stage Compression CO2 Cycle with the a Flash Intercooler and Flash Gas Bypass)

  • 본 연구에서는 효율적인 냉방시스템의 성능특성을 연구하기 위하여 2단압축을 이용한 이산화탄소 냉방사이클의 성능에 대하여 해석적 연구를 진행하였다. 2단압축을 이용한 플래쉬 중간냉각(flash intercooler)과 플래쉬 가스 바이패스(flash gas bypass) 사이클에 대한 해석적 모델을 개발하였으며 실내온도, 실외온도, 그리고 1단 및 2단 EEV 개도를 변화시켰다. 그 결과 FI와 FGB 사이클의 성능계수는 실외온도를 변화시켰을 경우 각각 28.5%, 22.1% 정도 감소하였으며, 실내온도 변화에 따른 이단압축 사이클의 성능변화는 단단압축 사이클에 비하여 적은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 저단 및 고단 EEV 개도를 변경하였을 경우 성능은 각각 13.5%, 6.9% 그리고 0.9%, 2.6% 정도 증가하는 것으로 나타나 고단 EEV 개도보다 저단의 EEV 개도의 변화가 시스템의 성능에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 확인되었다. FI 사이클은 다양한 운전조건에서 시스템의 성능이 가장 높게 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

균질화 기법을 이용한 딤플 튜브형 인터쿨러의 유한요소해석 및 검증 (Finite Element Analysis and Validation for Dimpled Tube Type Intercooler Using Homogenization Method)

  • Three-dimensional finite-element methods(FEM) have been used to analyze the thermal stress of an exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) cooler due to thermal and pressure load. Since efficiency and capability of the heat exchanger are mainly dependent on net heat transferring area of the EGR cooler system, the tube inside the system has a numerous dimples on the surface. Thus for finite element analysis, firstly the dimple-typed tube is modeled as a plain element without the dimple, and then the equivalent thermal conductivities and elastic modulus are calculated. This work describes the numerical homogenization procedure of the dimple-typed tube and verifies the equivalent material properties by comparison of a single unit and the actual full model. Finally, the homogenization scheme presented in this study can be efficiently applied to finite element analyses for the thermal stress and deformation behavior of the EGR cooler system with the dimple-typed tube.

디젤 자동차의 에어컨 사용시 흡기계통 개선에 따른 출력 및 매연 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Power and Smoke Characteristics for the Intake System Improvement using Air Conditioning System in a Diesel Vehicle)

  • This study investigated the symptoms of the a reduction in output while driving on the road, or increasing of fumer out exhaust gas on inclined road while working air-conditioner in summer. Notice how the experiment in 2010, the Ministry of Environment(Chapter No. 2010-46), and how the vehicle emissions inspection was carried out. 2500cc Diesel cars used in the study were used and compare to output of engine, exhaust gas, inhalation temperature measurement Inhalation of cold air has not been supplied to all agencies when comparing the results when cold air intake temperature of the supply air-conditioning switch range control from 1 to 4, the temperature drops $98^{\circ}C$ to $78^{\circ}C$. At the momentum of switch level 4, output from 63ps to 66ps after the connection has increased 9.6 percent, the highest concentration of exhaust emissions were reduced by 42.8%. This research can contribute in part to the reduction of exhaust directly supply into the cooling air intake line, doing the output of diesel cars in the summer. In addition, construction equipment and machinery that are currently being used excluding the engine's intercooler cooling of the supply line via a separate output in the summer and help reduce exhaust emissions is expected.
