Recently, City has contributed to the various and convenient environment by public design projects. These projects have grown very attentive to the outdoor signboards in cities. From this background, the local governments including the central government have driven to the outdoor signboards through the city street scenery improvement projects. These the outdoor signboards improvement projects are strengthen the city's aesthetic function and city street scenery. In this research, we surveyed the satisfaction level of the outdoor signboards for shop which were engaged in this project and citizen by t-test method. We surveyed 30 stores and 41 citizen for the outdoor signboard's aesthetic function, a reflection of region and store's properties and communication effects. From our results, we researched the various understanding and satisfaction of the outdoor signboards improvement projects. Stores owner and citizens did not satisfy the outdoor signboards improvement projects. From our research, in order to advertise the city's aesthetic function and to create our own unique outdoor signboards culture, a variety of tools and intensive cases are demanded, in the future the research on the outdoor signboards improvement projects must revitalized.
Purpose of this research about reduction the scholastic systematic triangular position of the security guard martial art which repeats a development is insufficient with demand of the while society to recognize and for the philosophic value research of security guard martial art composition principle puts out with the one method and from the reporter to search the aesthetics which appears does. In order to attain the goal of the research which sees the literature which relates with an security guard martial art widly, was an investigation and observed the aesthetics from concept and martial art of aesthetics and this the technical free use ability from actual site of the technical find which leads the practice voluntary repetition practice of security guard martial art with character and the body guard aesthetic integral part experience possibly did, there being will be able to acquire an aesthetic inspiration, confirmed. This is the study on the costumes of Parthian Period in Persia which had powerful influences on the Occidental and Western cultures in B.C 3 to A.D 3. With different types of Parthian costumes in each period, this study shows what types of costumes people used to wear and how they were co-related with its surrounding cultures. The ancient costumes of Korea had something to do with the elements of the Northern part at that time. To make an intensive study of Korean ancient costumes, these Parthian costumes which are known to those of northern nomadic tribes are studied to provide basis elements for study between the Korean styles and the exotic styles. The basic forms of the Parthian styles were jackets and trousers. They consisted of three kinds of jackets such as those to be adjusted In the front, tunics and coats. As for trousers, they were divided into three types such as those with horizontal pleats, round-side pleats and vertical pleats. 1) The jacket to be adjusted in the front was long enough to reach the hip and fit the body reasonably tight, and its neckline was shaped into V-type. It was a very popular style among the people of high and low classes. 2) The tunics had narrow sleeves. It was a one-piece pattern which reached the knees. It was settled with a belt on the waist. Its neckline was shaped into the round but its slit was not cleat. Its styles were into tight-fit and drapery ones. 3) The coats were almost similar to the jacket to be adjusted in the front with short length, but they were entirely long and open. They appeared later than the short jackets and the people of high class seemed to wear these styles. 4) 1'rousers with horizontal pleats - They had almost horizontal pleats on them, and they were a little tight. They seemed to be the early style in the Parthian period. 5) Trousers with round side-pleats - With saggy side pleats on them, these trousers had round pleats like a drapery style. This pattern was also considered Hellenistic elements shown in the Parthian costumes. The trousers consisted of the underdrawers and the leggings (called salwar or shalwar), which is thought to emphasize its functionality for its wearer to mount a horse with more ease. 6) Trousers with vertical pleats - With straight vertical pleats on them, these trousers had some volumes and bias decorations in the middle of them. These styles were thought to be worn by the ruling class of the Parthia from early to late period.
Four strains of water mold, ChS-E0511, RaT-E0511, RaT-A0512 and MaS-F0512, were isolated from salmonid fish and/or their eggs taken from culture farms in Yangyang, Milyang and Pyeongchang, Korea in 2005. Descriptions of their morphological aspects, the results of the phylogenetic analysis conducted, and the sequence of the small sub-unit 18S rRNAs of the isolates confirmed that they all belong to the species Saprolegnia parasitica. Only one species, ChS-E0511, which was isolated from fertilized eggs of the chum salmon, was classified as part of the S. parasiticaGroup 1 according to its oogonia and gemmae production. The chemotherapeutic effects of various chemicals on the ChS-E0511 strain were assessed from the inhibitory effects of growth in GY media and the relative ratio of eyed eggs to fertilized eggs of the rainbow trout. Malchite green, a prohibited substance in food animals, was better than others, such as the Opuntia ficus-indicaextract, 2-bronopol, and sodium chloride. These results suggest that the fungi isolated from salmonids and/or their eggs identified as S. parasitica were composed of more than two groups. These isolates will be useful in an intensive evaluation of therapeutic agents.
Purpose : To evaluate various sepsis screening tests, individually and in combination, to formulate a guideline for the diagnosis of neonatal sepsis. Methods : The study was a retrospective cohort study. It took place at the neonatal intensive care unit of the Paediatric Department, Il Sin Christian Hospital, Busan, Korea, over a period of 68 months from 1st, April, 2001 to 31st, December, 2005. This study evaluated 100 neonates having clinical features of sepsis and 100 normal asymptomatic neonates and used screening tests including C-reactive protein (CRP), total leukocyte count (TLC), absolute neutrophil count (ANC), immature neutrophils to total neutrophil count ratio (I/T ratio), thrombocytopenia, degenerative changes in the neutrophils and gastric aspirate cytology (GAC) for the diagnosis of neontal sepsis. Results : The sensitivity of CRP and ANC was high. CRP had 86 percent sensitivity for group-A (proven sepsis) and 74 percent sensitivity for group-B (probable sepsis) and 94 percent specificity for group-A, B. ANC had sensitivity of 72 percent for group-A and 62 percent for group-B and 86 percent specificity for group-A, B. For group-A, sensitivity, specificity of GAC for polymorphs was 74 percent and 94 percent respectively. As for sensitivity, specificity of platelet count for group-A was 64 percent and 89 percent respecively. The sensitivity, specificity and predictive values (PV) of the individual tests and different test combinations were also calculated for group-A and B. Conclusion : For the detection of culture negative cases in neonatal sepsis, screening tests including CRP, TLC, ANC, thrombocytopenia, cytoplasmic vacuolization in the neutrophils and GAC for polymorphs have high sensitivity. A combination of three tests has higher sensitivity.

Juvenile banded catfish(Pseudobagurus fulvidraco, mean length $10.4{\pm}0.37cm$ and mean weight $14.5{\pm}0.46g$) were exposed to several nitrite(${NO_2}^-$) concentrations for 96h at pH levels of $6.18{\pm}0.54$, $6.5{\pm}0.30$ and $7.07{\pm}0.22$. The result showed that cumulative mortalities of fish to ${NO_2}^-$ levels of 12.4, 19.8, 33.9 and 53.6 mg/L at pH levels of $6.18{\pm}0.54$ were 20, 25, 40 and 85%, respectively. At pH $6.5{\pm}0.54$, mortalities to ${NO_2}^-$ 22.4, 36.4, 45.3 and 63.2 mg/L were 25, 35, 50 and 100%, respectively. At pH $7.07{\pm}0.22$, mortalities to ${NO_2}^-$ 25.5, 45.7, 56.3 and 66.4 mg/L were 0, 55, 70 and 100%, respectively. The 96h-$LC_{50}$(median lethal concentration, $LC_{50}$) of fish to several ${NO_2}^-$ concentrations at pH levels of $6.18{\pm}0.54$, $6.5{\pm}0.30$ and $7.07{\pm}0.22$ were assessed in these experiments. 96h-$LC_{50}$ at pH levels of $6.18{\pm}0.54$, $6.5{\pm}0.30$ and $7.07{\pm}0.22$ were 32.68, 40.49 and 45.85 mg/L, respectively. It indicated that acute toxicity of ${NO_2}^-$ to juvenile banded catfish increased with low levels of pH and lengthening of exposure time to ${NO_2}^-$. In particular, smaller fish(mean weight $14.5{\pm}0.46g$) were more sensitive to ${NO_2}^-$ than larger fish(mean weight $81.7{\pm}1.42g$; not published). The 96h-$LC_{50}$ of juvenile banded catfish to ${NO_2}^-$ would be primary guideline for water quality management in the intensive culture system such as RAS and BFT.
Theoretical studies on the effects of forest road are considered to be significant from a present viewpoints which is headed for mordernization and activation of forestry. 1) From a viewpoint of wood production techniques, forest road is enable to economical transport of all kinds of forest products and easy transport to forest of operative tools and necessary materials, and largely contribute to efficiency of all operations, including reforestation, tending, forest protection and conservation of forests. 2) And, from a viewpoint of forest management, development of forest road makes wood marketability be secured and curtailment of various indirect expenditure with the operation efficiency be possible. 3) Forest road, also in living aspects of inhabitants in mountainous villages, plays direct and indirect roles in promoting their welfare including improvement of employment for forest labor, traffic benefits in mountainous area and introduction of culture. Therefore, as a premise to realize intensive management in forestry, the necessities of forest road were increased in its aspects of important and fundamental facilities as well as production basis.
About 2-year old northern goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) which is designated as natural monument (#323-1) in Republic of Korea was rescued by a local farmer and presented with a 2-weeks history of pain, swelling, stiffness and limping. On physical examination, plantar pododermatitis and digit IV weakness were observed. Radiographic findings also showed bone lyses with soft tissue swelling in the foot. A definite diagnosis was made as stage III bumble foot after multidisciplinary approach of the patient. Bacterial culture was performed, and concurrently antibiotic susceptibility testing is determined using wound site exudates specimen. Bacterial isolates were identified as Staphylococcus aureus, known normal skin flora. Treatment was initiated with surgical incision and necrotized tissues removal. Lavage-drainage and ball bandage were applied with topical mupirocin ointment application. Doughnut shaped pad was attached on bottom of the ball bandage to reduce weight bearing. After three weeks of intensive care, the wound site completely healed but digit IV weakness remained permanently. The goshawk returned to nature after eight weeks after treatment.

Purpose: This pilot study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of high dose ampicillin-sulbactam and colistin combination therapy for ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) caused by carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) in the pediatric intensive care unit of Pusan National University Children's Hospital. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 17 pediatric patients with VAP caused by CRAB from June 2017 to August 2018. Ten (58.8%) patients were treated with high dose ampicillin-sulbactam and colistin combination therapy (combination therapy group), whereas 7 were treated with colistin only or with various combinations with or without colistin (other antibiotics group). Clinical and bacteriological outcomes were compared between the groups. Results: The mean duration of fever after antibiotic use was 1.30±1.70 days in the combination therapy group and 1.71±1.49 days in the other antibiotics group. The mean duration of days for negative conversion of endotracheal aspirate bacterial culture after antibiotic therapy was 3.40±1.71 days in the combination therapy group and 11.80±8.86 days in the other antibiotics group. The mortality rate within 30 days of antibiotic therapy was 1/10 (10%) in the combination therapy group and 3/7 (42.9%) in the other antibiotics group. Conclusions: High dose ampicillin-sulbactam and colistin combination therapy as early antibiotic treatment in VAP caused by CRAB in children could improve clinical outcomes.
Purpose: We investigated the effectiveness of the delta neutrophil index (DNI) for the prediction of neonatal bacteremia and compared it to other indices. Methods: A total of 146 pediatric patients, aged less than 31 days, admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit of Wonju Severance Christian Hospital with fever before or during hospitalization were enrolled in this study. We divided the patients into two groups based on the existence of neonatal bacteremia and performed blood culture tests on both groups. We examined white blood cell count, absolute neutrophil count, DNI, platelet count, and C-reactive protein (CRP) test. We used a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve to evaluate their diagnostic significance. Results: Seventy-seven patients were diagnosed with neonatal bacteremia. The mean gestational age was 38.74 weeks and the mean birth weight was 3.20 kg. The mean gestational age of the control group was 33.34 weeks and the mean birth weight was 2.20 kg. Causative organisms of bacteremia included Staphylococcus aureus (n=22), Staphylococcus epidermidis (n=18), and Streptococcus agalactiae (n=8). Both DNI and CRP were significantly associated with neonatal bacteremia after adjusting for gestational age and birth weight. The area under the ROC curve (AUC) for DNI (0.70) was higher than that for CRP (0.68). Conclusions: The DNI can be used to effectively predict neonatal bacteremia. The prediction will be more accurate if DNI is used in conjunction with other indices. In future, it will be useful to compare DNI with other indices and investigate its relationship with prognosis.
