  • This paper presents a development of a fire control system with an intelligent judgment algorithm of hit or not. The presented algorithm analyzes an impact energy and impact signals according to impact materials. And the detected signals are used to judge the correct hit or not. Furthermore, Zigbee wireless communication technology is applied in the developed fire control system. The wireless communication technology can supply a simple installation of the practical system and free from ageing of communication wire. The presented system is verified in the practical fire test, and the results show the effectiveness of the development system.

  • The automatic steering system for unmanned vehicle was developed. The magnet and MR (Magnetoresistive) sensors are used for the tue detecting system. The lateral distance between sensor and the center line of the road is determined by the linearization of the distance according to the output. The PD control theory is used for the design of the controller to compare with $H_\infty$ control theory. The $H_\infty$ control theory is used for the design of the controller to reduce the disturbance. The performance of the PD controller and $H_\infty$ controller is compared in simulations and tests. The PD controller is easy to tune in the test site. The $H_\infty$ controller is robust far the disturbances in the test results.

  • Advanced Intelligent Network Intelligent Peripheral (AIN IP) is one of the AIN elements which consist of Service Control Point (SCP), Service Switching Point (SSP), and IP for AIN services, such as play announcement, digit collect, voice recognition/synthesis, voice prompt and receipt. This paper, featuring ISUP/INAP protocols, describes the procedures for call setup/release bearer channels between SSP/SCP and IP, todeliver specialized resources through the bearer channels, and it describes the structure and procedure for AIN services such as Automatic Collect Call (ACC), Universal Personal Telecommunication (UPT), and teleVOTing(VOT).   • To help solve the problems of how to set the optimal sawing force and the optimal controller parameters for different sawing conditions, a mathematical model of a proposed sawing system was established according to the principle of sawing force control. The conventional PID control method was then used for further research of the closed-loop control of the sawing force. Finally, through simulation and experimental research, the influence rule of the controller parameters and sawing load on the control performance and the relationships between the sawing width and controller parameters (proportion coefficient) and the sawing force setting value were obtained, from which a system scheme for intelligent sawing control of a band sawing machine was proposed. The research shows that the sawing efficiency of the intelligent sawing system was 18.1 (48%) higher than that of the original sawing system when sawing a grooved section sawing material, which verifies the good control effect of the proposed scheme.

  • In this paper, an advanced shift controller that supervises the shift transients with adaptive compensation is presented. Modern shift control systems for vehicle automatic transmission are designe d to provide smooth transients for passengers' comfort and better component durability. In the conventional methods, lots of testing and calibration works have been done to tune gains of the controller, but it does not assure optimum shift quality at all times owing to system variations often caused by uncertainties in shifting hydraulic systems and external disturbances. In the proposed control scheme, an adaptive compensation controller with intelligent supervisor is implemented to achieve improved shift quality over the system variations. The control input pattern which generates clutch pressure commands in hydraulic actuating systems, is updated through a learning process to adjust for each subsequent shift based on continuous monitoring of shifting performance and environmental changes. The proposed algorithm is implemented and evaluated on the experimental test setup. Results from the experimental studies for several operation modes show both improved performance and adaptability of the proposed shift controller to uncertain changes of the shifting environment in vehicle power transmission systems.

  • In this study, chlorine modeling technique based on fuzzy system is proposed to reduce the carcinogenic substance and decide the optimal chlorine injection rate, which is affected by chlorine evaporation rate in sedimentation basin according to detention time, weather and water quality. The additional chlorine meter is installed in the inlet part of sedimentation to reduce the feedback time and implement cascade control, which leads to maintaining the residual chlorine concentration decided by fuzzy rule. It helps to take a preemptive action about long time delay, the characteristics of the disinfection process, and reduce the variation of residual chlorine rate by 7.3 times and the chlorine consumption by 40,000 dollars. It made a significant contribution to supply hygienically safe drinking water.

  • 선박 업계의 항해 인력부족 현상을 해결하기 위한 방법으로 선박의 지능화 및 자동화에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행중이다. 선박의 지능화 및 자동화를 위해 지능형 자율운항제어시스템(Autonomous Ship Control System using Intelligence Techniques)이 개발되고 있다. 지능형 자율 운항제어시스템은 선박운항에 있어 항해계획을 수립하고 현재의 선박운항 상태를 파악하여 선박을 적절히 제어하는 항해 전문가의 능력을 전산화 한 것이다. 지능형 자율운항시스템은 항해, 충돌회피, 선체유지, 자료융합, 운동제어, 통합 아키텍처 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 선박 운동제어시스템은 상위 레벨의 고수준제어 요구치를 하위레벨의 저수준제어치로 변환하는 제어기이다. 본 논문에서 선박의 물리적 특성을 모방하기위해 Oldenburger 제어 이론에 기반한 선박 제어기를 설계하고, 설계된 제어기의 성능검정을 위해 선박시뮬레이터에서 다양한 시나리오를 바탕으로 시뮬레이션 한다.

  • The dynamic characteristics of industrial processes frequently cause an abnormal situation which is undesirable in terms of the productivity and the safety of workers. The goal of fault-tolerance is to continue performing certain activities even after the failure of some system cononents. A fault-tolerant intelligent monitoring and control system which is robust under disturbances is proposed in this paper. Specifically, the fault-tolerant monitoring scheme proposed consists of two process models and the inference module to preserve such a robustness. The results of turning experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the fault-tolerant scheme in the presence of built-up edge.

  • This research involves the development and evaluation of a work flow control model for a type of flexible manufacturing system(FMS) called a flexible flow line(FFL). The control model can be considered as a kind of hybrid intelligent model in that it utilizes both computer simulation and neural network technique. Training data sets were obtained using computer simulation of typical FFL states. And these data sets were used to train the neural network model. The model can easily incorporate particular aspects of a specific FFL such as limited buffer capacity and dispatching rules used. It also dynamically adapts to system uncertainty caused by such factors as machine breakdowns. Performance of the control model is shown to be superior to the random releasing method and the Minimal Part Set(MPS) heuristic in terms of machine utilization and work-in-process inventory level.

  • 자율무인잠수정은 자율운항을 위해서 자동화된 제어시스템이 필요하다. 제어시스템은 기능적 측면에서 임무계획단계(mission planning level), 임무제어단계(mission control level), 선체제어단계(vehicle control level)로 구분한다. 자율무인잠수정의 효과적인 임무 수행을 위해서는 임무제어단계의 운행 경로 설정과 제어가 중요하다. 자율무인잠수정은 잠수정의 주변환경을 추상화한 후 탐색기법을 이용하여 경로를 설정한다. 이때 검색기법의 효율적 적용을 위해서는 효과적으로 추상화된 탐색모형이 필요하다. 대표적인 탐색모형으로는 3차원 격자절대좌표 모형(3-dimensional grid unit coordinate model)[1]을 들 수 있다. 그러나 이 모형은 불필요한 동작의 반복, 이동 격자에 따른 비일관성과 같은 취약점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 이 모형의 취약점을 개선하기 위해서 자유무인잠수정의 위치 기반 상대적 격자좌표 모형(relative grid unit coordinate model based on AUV state)을 제안한다.
