Character education is an important educational purpose in the current situation of secondary mathematics education. In the current mathematics curriculum, character education is mentioned in terms of core competencies. However, it is very difficult to concretely practice character education in secondary mathematics education. This paper examines the theoretical background of character education in the tradition of mathematics education, and suggests that mathematics is regarded as a practical tradition by the nature of mathematics from a value-intrinsic perspective. In this respect, mathematics education is defined as an intrinsic and nurturing character through long history of practice. This paper searched for an integrated approach to practicing character education in of secondary mathematics education, and argued that the teacher's personal approach including the class model approach of the human factors by an example of the exponential law a^maⁿ = a^m+n and the value-oriented activities according to the nature of the mathematics was the core.

The purpose of this research is to understand the impact of integrated character education activities involving children's songs on children's emotional intelligence and empathic abilities. Research subjects were recruited from J preschool in H County. There were a total of 46 four-year old children who were divided into test and control groups. For 12 weeks, these children participated in activities two times per week for a total of 24 integrated character education activity sessions which consisted of learning and singing children's songs and integration of activities such as storytelling, music, science, building, movement, literature, and cooking. The summary of research findings is as follows: First, there was a significant difference in emotional intelligence between the test group which participated in integrated character education activities involving children's songs and the control group. Secondly, there was a significant difference in empathic abilities between the test group which participated in integrated character education activities involving children's songs and the control group. The result of this study is that writing songs for children and various developed programs should be needed for character education activities.

The purpose of this study was to identify how character education activities utilizing picture books affect pro-social behaviors of young children. The subjects were 46 children aged 5 who attended private child care centers in G city. The children were allocated to either the experiment group or the control group. The data were collected for 12 weeks and the activity sessions were provided to the experiment group 3 times a week (36 times in total). The sessions consisted of an integrated approach toward character education. Therefore, various activities were included such as listening to the stories of picture books, discussion, drama, language activities, music, mathematics, science and games. The findings of this study were as follows: The experiment group which experienced character education utilizing picture books has significantly improved their pro-social behaviors compared to the control group. The approach positively influenced the overall sub-variables such as leadership, helping, communication, initiative consideration, approach trial, sharing, empathy, and emotional control. The character education activities should be applied to character education utilizing picture books for young children because they let young children experience building up trust and learn social attitude, and influenced increase of pro-social behaviors on young children.

STEAM is a multidisciplinary education program which intended to promote creative thinking by combining studies in the arts and STEM(Science, Technology, Engineer, Mathematics) fields. STEAM education can bring out creativities in students through educational activities of integrating and combining diverse studies. In this research, we integrated the educational elements of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and arts using robots and then developed an educational program that raises the creative and character (focused on collaboration and communication) of students in a more fun and effective way. Using our developed educational program, we taught 6th grade students of an elementary school located in Seoul. As the result, most of students were found to be enhanced in their creativity and character after participating in the STEAM-based programming education course.

The fishing vessels operation is a kind of maritime profit-making activities, which are complicatedly integrated by the basic and supplemental fishing activities with navigation. The Fishing Vessels Act of Korea defines the character of fishing vessels and gives a legal status to them, and this Act itself is linked with the allied public laws including the Ships Act of Korea. For this reason, the legal status of fishing vessels as Korean flagged ships by the public law is analogous to the general commercial vessels. And the specific character of ownership of the fishing vessels by the Korean Maritime-Commercial Act as a privated law is analogous to the general commercial vessels, nevertheless the Chapter 4(Carriage of goods) and the Chapter 5(General average) of this Act do not apply to the fishing vessels except the fish carriers. A fishing vessel possesses the legal status as a Korean flagged ship by having it registered and putting it on record under the provision of national law, however the principle of genuine link is an important factor for acquisition of nationality. Especially, the basic rules by the Law of the Sea those are attended with the distant-water fishing vessels operation at the overseas fishing ground are summarized as follows ; Firstly, the rights of navigation and fishing activities on the high seas are fundamentally recognized to all states, but the freedom is restricted according to the international legal order aiming at protection of reasonable interests of other states and conservation of the living resources and marine environment. Secondly, in the EEZ or EFZ the freedom of navigation is recognized, but fishing activities are exclusively ruled by the national law of the coastal state. Thirdly, foreign fishing activities are prohibited but the right of innocent passage is recognized in the territorial sea, while both activities are prohibited in the internal waters of the coastal state.

The society changes very fast from the extended family system to the nuclear family system, as increasing a one-child family for the low birth-rate. Thus, it causes that the education, having been performed inside of the family group, is performed outside of the family nowadays such as an infant educational institution. Fundamentally, the space of educating infants must be considered their behavior and meet their needs. For infants, playing is not only studying, but also is related to physical, intellectual and emotional development. Therefore infants in a qualifiedly good playing environment, are easy to focus on their playing. But, variety of playing activities can help improve infants' development physically, socially, emotionally, linguistically and intellectually. So far, an infant educational institution has provided a general education than a special educationally considering their age and status of a development. However, it is necessary to provide an integrated and well-organized place for each infant because their playing is a studying and education that will be based of individuals' character when they are grown up. The objective of this thesis is to study on the new transition space for infants of their physical activities. For this study, at first, it is important to understand what are the points of well-built kindergarten around the world. They have the flexible space in common. The transition(flexible) space will be a solution for space for infants' development.

The article deals with problems of innovation development on a network basis, which require effective mechanisms of innovation communications. In research the organizational aspects of ICT infrastructure development for innovation networks sustainable development based on cooperative marketing principles is considered. The proposed research idea is based on the idea that ICT implementation is based not only on the operational approach for innovation management as a factor of efficiency of internal communications, but also on knowledge economy and post-industrial economy trends. Therefore, the purpose of study is to develop an ICT model of innovation infrastructure to improve its effectiveness (strategic character) and efficiency (operative character) through increasing the efficiency of network communication interactions. Creation of information space and communication tools to support innovation network sustainable development and cooperation activities in research is proposed to be solved with the help of specialized ICT platform. It is shown, that ICT platform of innovation cooperation innovation network is important tool for common work of participants. ICT platform is considered as an integrated information system designed to automate business processes related to the sustainable development of innovation network, segment management and integration with HEI information systems and industrial cooperation. The main factors that determine the need to use a special ICT platform for innovation network cooperation were considered. The main issues of concurrent engineering (C-technology) application in high-technology industries and innovation cooperation for integrated product development were studied.
