The Insulation Characteristics and The Electric Field Anlaysis by Conducting Particle in $SF_6$ Gas ($SF_6$가스 내 금속이물 존재시 절연특성 및 전계해석)

  • This paper describes the influence of conducting particle in the coaxial cylindrical electrodes under alternating voltage condition investigated using breakdown electric field and electro magnetics simulation method. Simulated particle-location in GIS chamber were the particle on electrode, the particle on enclosure and free moving particle. As results, it was founded that in case of breakdown electric field of the GIS chamber, breakdown electric field of particle on electrode was the lowest, that of free moving particle was middle and that of particle on enclosure was the highest. And in case of the electric field analysis with particle locations, electric field of particle on electrode was the highest, that of lifted particle was middle and that of particle on enclosure was the lowest. This results can offer a practical reference on the insulation design of domestic GIS.

An Experimental Study on the Application of Horizontal Daylight Duct System in Building Interior Space (실내 건축공간에 있어 수평채광덕트 시스템의 적용에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper was development of modified horizontal daylight duct for reflector of light intake, location of outlet diffuser and size as applicable daylighting system for buildings and, verified applicable possibility base on analysis of daylighting performance through full-scale model test. Experimental result showed that ratio of illumination for light duct was measured 0.3∼0.4% in interior of a room on clear sky. Also, light duct had wide distribution of illumination than duct about 150[cm] and was decided efficient lighting energy saving because of high daylight performance in case of application actual building during daytime.

  • The optical structure of edge-lit LED backlight has been optimized via simulation study in order to remove bright spots appearing on the entrance region of the light guide plate (LGP) and thus to improve the luminance uniformity. The density of scattering dots located on the back surface of LGP was adjusted according to the location of LED's. In addition, lenticular lenses or a diffuse transmissive surface were formed on the side surface of LGP facing the LED's, and the density of lenticular lenses was optimized for redistributing rays emitted from LED's into wider angles. The bright spots which could be seen from conventional LED backlight were removed by the combination of these two optical structures. The application of diffuse surface to the entrance face gave better uniformity than the application of lenticular lenses. However, dark regions still appear on the entrance region of LGP, which should be removed by more appropriate optical design for achieving better luminance uniformity on the LED backlight.

  • A track circuit is a critical piece of equipment that allows the existence of the trains on the track to be detected. Train detection is very important for the signal safety equipment. It allows for the confirmation of a train's location, the locking of switch points, the coordination of safe distance between trains, and the advance notice of a train's arrival. Track circuits can be powered by AC or DC. The DC track circuits are usually used on non-electrified tracks. On these tracks, many signal errors can be caused by lightning or problems with the power source. These problems can also cause damages to the rectifiers which must be repaired or replaced, promptly. This issue is especially problematic in the summer because of the higher frequency of thunderstorms. Issues with track circuits also cause problems for other equipment, such as railroad crossings and switch points. This further disrupts the safe operation of trains. This study aims to enhance maintenance efficiency and improve safety by utilizing parallel operation and multiplexing of a DC track circuit as well as installing an external surge protector. The experimental results on the operation of the proposed method is also presented.

  • This paper analyzes efficiency of photovoltaic(PV) tracking system using position solar algorithm(PSA). Solar location tracking system is needed for efficiently and intensively using PV system independent of environmental condition. PV tracking system of program method is presented a high tracking accuracy without the wrong operating in rapidly changing insolation by the clouds and atmospheric condition. Therefore, this paper analyzes efficiency of PV system using PSA algorithm for more correct position tracking of solar. Also, controlled altitude angle and azimuth angle by applied algorithm is compared with data of korea astronomy observatory. And this paper analyzes the tracking error and generation efficiency then proves the validity of applied algorithm.

Investigation of Bracket Deflection Influence on Structural Safety of Scaffold System (브라켓의 변위가 비계 구조 안전성에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • This study examined the structural behavior of bracket scaffolds reflecting the influence of bracket's deflection. Even though the supporting condition of bracket scaffolds is different to that of general earth-supported scaffolds, there is no clear standards about the installation of bracket scaffolds. To compare the structural behaviors of the earth-supported scaffolds without settlements in columns and those of bracket scaffolds installed on the bracket structure, the finite element analysis was performed. The results show that the differential settlement between the scaffold columns installed on the bracket was occurred due to the deflection of the bracket. The differential settlement gave birth to remarkable secondary stress to the scaffold columns. It is resonable to locate all scaffold columns on the brackets, and if unavoidable situation is faced at a site, the horizontal members should not placed alone without columns on the brackets. Moreover, the structural analysis should be performed to ensure structural safety of bracket scaffolds before installation. In addition, the location of wall connection to the structures is recommended to the scaffolds columns installed on the brackets.

  • The tempering system which is developed by this research which sees energy curtailment and from the environmental side which is essential for in hazard analysis critical control point. The tempering system with development experimented frozen pork and fish. As test result, frozen pork region was not thawed occurred plentifully. Like this the actual condition, the case of frozen fish is grind and the bulk and density uniformly was formed, the pork the density was dense and was thought with the fact that the temperature difference change is big. Also after tempering from measurement location center the temperature appeared substitutionally with the low-end thing. This central part of the frozene region is thought the impedance change appears few. To hereafter respects an impedance change is thought that has the necessity which will change the structure of tempering system.

  • Available daylight in inside offers comfortable view environment, and psychological and physical advantages to people in a room. Architectural design has a need for daylight prediction. But it is difficult to predict the illuminance values in daylight system. Using various Daylight simulation software is easy and simple, but we can find different results under the same conditions. This study compares with illuminance values from simulation (Lightscape 3.2, Relux 2007, Radiance 3.9) and Mock-up experiment with a same space and parameter of daylight (location of space and window, date, time and sky condition).

Analysis on the Hot-spot Temperature Location of a 24MVA Cast Resin Transformer by FEM (FEM을 이용한 24MVA 몰드변압기의 Hot-spot 위치 분석 연구)

  • This paper calculates the core and copper losses as heating sources of a 24MVA cast resin transformer, and analyzes the thermal distribution of the transformer to find out its hot-spot area by FEM program. Since the winding of the transformer is composed with many series and parallel circuits, the analyzing model of the winding is simplified and modelled by axi-symmetric domain. As the results, the maximum temperature is estimated by $137^{\circ}C$ in the upper part of the low-voltage winding. The maximum temperature has discrepancy of approximately $10^{\circ}C$, which is able to be considered as an acceptable error range in the design stage of power transformers. For the overall pattern of the temperature distribution is almost same as test results, the analyzing method can be a useful tool to find out a hot-spot area of the winding.
