This paper represents a graphical design technique of the symmetrical dielectric waveguids couplers. Once the phase constants are given by a approzimate model analysis, coupling lengths are easily calculated for each coupler. These method give some new insight of the codirectional couplers.

Speedup is often used to show scalability, but its classical definition fails to explain some real measurements such as superlinear speedup. This leads to scaled speedup which scales other system parameters as number of rocessors changes. In this paper, scaled speedup and architectural speedup are introduced and superlinear speedup is explained with its cause.

중국은 한글입력 표준을 국제표준으로 제정하려는 소위 '한글공정' 작업을 시도한 바 있다. 당시 우리 정부와 업계의 자성으로 한글자판의 국가표준을 만들었지만 중국의 한글공정은 여전히 현재진행형이다. 특히 중국에서 사용하는 조선어는 중국 정부가 공식 인정한 언어이며 한글을 사용하는 한국-중국-북한 간 언어의 이질성은 매우 심각한 수준이다. 이제 우리나라가 한글의 통일과 표준화에 주도권을 가지고 세계화에 앞장설 시점이다.

We consider a two-tier supply chain with multiplicative random yield. We focus on the supply chain performance with respect to the control scheme of determining the production lot size. The profit loss due to distributed control is analyzed to give an insight for devising efficient supply contracts.

A case study of modeling ordinal categorical response data with the MARS method is done. The study is to analyze the effect of some personal characteristics and socioeconomic status on the teenage marijuana use. The MARS method gave a new insight into the data set.

커피자판기의 위기를 말하는 사람들이 많다. 믹스커피, 원두커피 시장 등이 상대적으로 확대되어 커피자판기의 매출이 과거만 못한 것이 사실이다. 그래도 분명한 점은 서민은 여전히 자판기 커피를 즐기고 있다는 사실이다. 한 설문조사에서 이 같은 사실이 나타났다. 고급커피 시장의 이면에는 항상 저가 커피에 대한 니즈도 상존하고 있음을 보여주는 서베이 결과를 소개한다.

얼마 전까지만 해도 디지털은 그저 차갑고, 인간의 감정을 느낄 수 없는 것으로 간주되어 왔다. 하지만 디지털이 사람들의 생활 속에 깊이 파고들면서 콘텐츠는 점점 다양해지고, 그 안에서 감성적인 사고가 반영되어 사람들의 호기심을 자극하고 있다. 최근 이처럼 디지털 콘텐츠를 감성적 사고 중심으로 사용하는 마케팅이 유행하고 있는데, 디지털 스토리텔링 마케팅이 바로 그것이다.

Nonparametric kernel regression problem is considered for a stationary dependent sequence ｛(Xi, Yj) 1 j $\geq$ 1 ｝. In particular consistency and rates of convergence are discussed, which gives some useful insight for the effect of dependence for stationary $\alpha$-mixing sequences.
