Production and Operating Characteristics for Inorganic EL Phosphor (무기EL용 형광체 제작 및 구동특성)

  • In this paper, we are presents production and operation characteristics for inorganic EL phosphors device using screen printed. The EL device is composed as ITO PET / EL phosphors dielectric $(2{\times}2cm^2)/TiO^2$ paste/Ag electrode. At 100Vac 400Hz, the luminescence of inorganic EL phosphors were $60.33cd/m^2$ of red phosphor, $42.12cd/m^2$ of green phosphor and $58.45cd/m^2$ of blue phosphor. The output current was 12.57 mA, 17.11 mA and 11.98 mA, respectively. The inorganic EL phosphors of EL device are increasing efficiency EL device.

The Altering Ratio of the luminance of a Inorganic Powder EL Lamp That was made by Screen Printing Technique (스크린 인쇄 기법에 의해 제작된 분산형 무기 EL 램프의 휘도 변화율)

  • The inorganic powder EL lamp was made by screen printing technique with a phosphor ink and a dielectric ink. The thickness of a phosphor ink layer and a dielectric ink layer is $35{\mu}m$ and $54{\mu}m$ respectively. A increasing ratio of the luminance of inorganic powder EL lamp to be a 1P1PD-phosphor ink layer in which increased voltage at constant frequency is higher 12% than when increased frequency at constant voltage. It is higher 57% than when increased frequency at constant voltage that the rate of increase of the luminance of inorganic powder EL lamp to be a 2PD-phosphor ink layer in which increased voltage at constant frequency. Finally, when increased voltage at constant frequency, a increasing ratio of the luminance of inorganic powder EL lamp to be a 2PD-phosphor ink layer is higher about 40% than that to be a 1P1PD-phosphor ink layer.

  • A inorganic powder EL lamp was made by screen printing technique with phosphor ink and dielectric ink. The thickness change of a phosphor ink layer and a dielectric ink layer were not influenced on dielectric content, but rely on phosphor size and vehicle. Once finishing screen printing technique with phosphor ink and dielectric ink, and its surface has been printed again before not drying of phosphor ink and dielectric ink. Then phosphor ink and dielectric ink were not transferred. The electric capacity of inorganic powder EL lamp was more influenced on dielectric content than the thickness of dielectric ink layer, and it was more dependent on the thickness of phosphor ink layer than the thickness of dielectric ink layer.

  • The inorganic powder EL lamp was made by screen printing technique with a phosphor ink and a dielectric ink. Value of color coordinates X and Y increased under the condition of supplying driving power to the inorganic powder EL lamp and changing voltage with constant frequency. When frequency was changed under the constant voltage, value of color coordinates X and Y were decreased with increasing frequency. However, level of change of color coordinates X was different from color coordinates Y. When voltage was increased under constant frequency, changing degree of color coordinates X and Y shows similarity. But under the constant voltage with changing frequency, color coordinates X and Y were differently changed that degree of change of color coordinates Y showed five times more than that of color coordinates X. As increasing thickness of phosphor ink and dielectric ink, level of voltage and frequency, color coordinates X and Y were slightly changed. According to the thickness of phosphor ink and dielectric ink, and level of voltage and frequency, color coordinate of color light was changed. Frequency was most important element influencing on the change of color coordinate.

  • Significant process in the performance and commercialization of full-color thin-film electroluminescent(EL) displays has been achieved. This is due to the remarkable progress made in the performance of exiting EL phosphors, development of new phosphor materials, and design of new EL phosphor structures. In this paper, we fabricated thinfilm EL devices with ZnS buffer and $BaTiO_3$ electric layer with on top and bottom of phosphor layer. The effect of ZnS and $BaTiO_3$ layer on the luminance of EL device were studied.

  • In this paper, we report the characteristics inorganic EL device with high dielectric constant materials of PMN, PZT. Fabricated EL device shows stable light emission even at 20kHz -400Volt without any break down failure. Brightness voltage curve of EL device is same with typical EL. As increasing applied voltage, the brightness increased linearly. From the results of Frequency and duty ratio variation, over 50% of brightness increment was seen. Luminous efficiency was increased upto 200V range and saturated over 200V by slow increasement of light emission. We got e bright stable emission of 1733 cd/m2 at the condition of Frequency 35 KHz, Duty 10%, 400V.

  • Orange-yellow phosphor has been synthesized by solid-state method for inorganic EL devices. Zinc sulfide is used as host material for the phosphor and the phosphor consists of copper and manganese as activators. The dependence of the photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence(EL) properties on the copper and manganese concentrations has been investigated.

  • An inorganic electroluminescence device based on a green ZnS:(Cu,Al) phosphor was fabricated by a screen printing method. Graphene was added to the phosphor layer to increase the electroluminescence intensity. As the graphene concentration increased, the photoluminescence intensity decreased; on the other hand, the electroluminescence intensity increased, up to 0.6 wt%.

  • Nowdays, we can communicate using Information Technology such as internet, personal computer, mobile phone etc. To protect global environment, it is also reqired to invent products efficiently reduce energy consumption. here, I studied organic EL and inorganic EL because organic EL display is appropriate device as light, thin, energy-saying display following CRT, LCD. As a result, I realized that we are supposed to study more on invention, efficiency and mass-production of materials. Comparing with another display, however, it would be marketable in few years, considering short history of its full-scaled studies.
