Injection molding process is one of the most important methods to produce plastic parts with high efficiency and low cost. Today, injection molded parts have been increased dramatically the demand for high strength and quality applications. In this study, In-line skates are made of Al alloy and plastic materials to replace the frame for the optimization process is all about. I interpreted through mold design, Injection molding process that minimizes the runner and the gate dimension will determine the size and shape. Runner and gate dimensions of change based on availability of the product, I'll discuss the injection molding. This report investigates that the optimum injection molding condition for minimum of shrinkage. The FEM Simulation CAE tool, Moldflow, is used for the analysis of injection molding process.

Plastic product manufacturing industry has usually focused on a mechanical and physical characteristics of molding. Recently, not only these characteristics but also the aesthetic value is significantly considering. Especially, the molding's gloss, which we can easily distinguish, is an important aesthetic point. In this study, it were investigated that the gloss variation of ABS moldings by changing injection conditions such as injection pressures, injection speed, holding pressures melt and mold temperatures by injection molding experiment. The experimental results revealed that the holding pressure was the most active condition on gloss of ABS molding.
In order to produce high-quality optical components, aspheric lenses have been widely applied in recent years. An aspheric lens consists of aspheric surfaces instead of spherical ones, which causes difficulty in the design process as well as the manufacturing procedure. Although injection molding is widely used to fabricate optical lenses owing to its high productivity, there remains lots of difficulty to determine appropriate mold design factors and injection molding parameters. In the injection molding fields, computer simulation has been effectively applied to analyze processes based on the shell analysis so far. Considering the geometry of optical lenses, a full-3d simulation based on solid elements has been reported as a reliable approach. The present work covers three-dimensional injection molding simulation and relevant deformation analysis of an injection molded plastic lens based on 3d solid elements. Numerical analyses have been applied to the injection molding processes of three aspheric lenses for an image sensing module of a mobile phone. The reliability of the proposed approach has been verified in comparison with the experimental results.

Housing and insulation of electrical connectors are made of plastic resin by injection molding process. The metallic inner tube is easily deformed by high pressure during the injection process. In order to prevent deformation of the inner tube, it is desirable to simulate it by structural CAE analysis. However, it takes a long time to calculate the stress- of the part by commercially available injection molding CAE software with sufficient accuracy. In this study, structural analysis in conjunction with injection molding analysis is proposed to improve accuracy of the structural analysis. Pressure distribution on the inner tube is predicted by the injection molding CAE analysis, and then mapped onto the mesh of structural analysis by a mapping algorithm developed in this study. As a result reliable result is obtained in shorter time than the conventional method. The predicted deformation of the inner tube is compared with the actual part after experiment.

Injection Molding is the most effective process for mass production of plastic parts. The injection molding process is composed with several steps such as Filling, Packing, Holding, Cooling, Ejecting. Among them, filling and packing process should be considered carefully to improve accuracy of dimension, surface quality of plastic parts. Usually the quality above-mentioned is managed with weight of part after molding on the field. In this paper, a series of experiment for molding automotive front bumper was conducted with cavitity temperature sensor to optimize switch-over time(V-P switching), hot runner vale gate sequence time during filling and packing step for the purpose of uniform quality, weight at every molding. As a result, it was found that it is effective method to use temperature sensor in injection molding for quality control of plastic molding.

In the accompanying paper, part I, we have presented the physical modeling and the associated numerical analysis of injection molding process with a compressible viscoelastic fluid model. In part II, the effects of compression stage in the injection/compression molding process are presented. Numerical results showed that the injection/compression molding process reduced birefringence as compared with the injection molding process. In this respect, one can conclude that the injection/compression molding process is more suitable for manufacturing the precise optical products than the injection molding process. In the distribution of birefringence, the effect of packing procedure in injection/compression molding process was found to be similar to that in injection molding process. From the numerical results, we found that birefringence becomes smaller as the melt temperature gets higher and the closing velocity of the mold gets smaller with the flow rate and the mold temperature affecting the birefringence insignificantly. As far as the distribution of density is concerned, the flow rate, the melt temperature, and the closing velocity of the mold had insignificant effect on the distribution of density in comparison with the mold temperature.
Because of steep rise of international energy cost in recent years, high efficiency has been emphasized in energy policy. As far as injection molding machine is concerned, hybrid method using hydraulic and electric systems became the key to this energy saving. The energy saving and molding reproducibility of hybrid injection molding process were shown experimentally. The power consumption of hybrid injection molding machine is reduced to 38% as compared with that of hydraulic machine. Furthermore, the molding reproducibility was shown for both methods.
High-speed and high-torque performance is required in the ultra-high speed electric injection molding machine field. To implement this performance, the big-size inverter is needed and the corresponding converter should be used. In this case, the whole cost for configuring the system will be increased. In this paper, we introduce a method which is able to reduce the energy and the cost for configuring the system using the energy regeneration. The energy regeneration method is based on reusing the regeneration power generated at the electric motor during decelerating the injection motion. In this paper, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the method by using the ultra-high speed injection motion.

Thermoplastic elastomer(TPE) has many advantages such as high flexibility, high elasticity and high elongation, etc. TPE is easily molded as plastic materials, therefore, many TPE parts are applied as home appliances and mechanical parts. However, its mechanical properties would be changed by injection molding conditions such as melt temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure and holding pressure, etc. In this study, the influences of the injection molding condition on the mechanical properties as tensile strength, hardness of thermoplastic vulcanizates(TPVs), which is one of the TPE, were investigated. By the injection molding experiment, the molding's tensile strength and hardness was influenced on the melt temperature and composition ratio of PP and EPDM. The morphology of moldings were shown by the scanning electron microscope.
