  • With reent changes in energy sources, infrastructure facilities for energy charging are increasing around living areas. The infrastructure facilities have a slight possibility of explosion, and for this research on protection is needed. In this study, the performance of the reinforcement type is reviewed by examining the destructive properties after applying the impact by the high-velocity projectile to the cement composite to which various reinforcement methods are applied.

  • Due to the deterioration of infrastructure, the importance of maintenance is continuously increasing. Therefore, an integrated maintenance method for various facilities is required. In this study, a maintenance priority determination method for integrated maintenance of roads and pipe network facilities was developed. It is possible to analyze attribute information by using GIS data of roads and pipe networks, and shape information can be used. This information is derived as quantitative figures for determining maintenance priorities. In the future, it is expected that facility maintenance can be further advanced in connection with maintenance method and quantity information for each facility.

장기요양시설내 노인학대 대응정책에 관한 연구: WHO 및 주요국의 정책 비교를 중심으로 (A Comparative Study on Policies of Elderly Abuse in the Long-Term Care Facilities on WHO, Main countries)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 장기요양시설내 노인학대 문제에 대한 WHO 및 주요국의 정책을 검토하고, 이를 바탕으로 한국의 장기요양시설 노인학대 예방정책의 방향을 도출하고자 하는 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 WHO의 노인학대 위험요인으로 지적된 요인 중에서 장기요양시설에서 문제가 되고 있는 세가지 이슈(노인의 특성(시설내 치매노인 분리수준), 종사자 특성(신체억제대 사용수준, 야간 돌봄인력 처우수준), 시설 특성(시설내 CCTV설치수준))을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 첫째, 많은 국가들에서 시설의 개방성에 대해서 강조하고 있었다. 관련 정책으로 옴부즈맨제도, 성인후견인제도 등을 통한 시설방문, 외부 감시체계를 운영하고 있었다. 둘째, 시설의 입소노인의 특성에 대한 고려가 필요하다. 특히, 장기요양시설 특성상 치매노인, 야간시간대 입소노인의 특성이 고려된 학대예방책이 요구되었다. 셋째, 장기요양시설의 시설종사자의 처우조건, 종사자의 시설환경 수준 등이 각 국가별로 차이가 있었다. 시설내 학대예방을 위해 시설환경의 향상과 종사자의 처우개선이 중요하였다. 넷째, 향후 입소자 중심 예방정책으로의 패러다임 변화가 요구된다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구는 한국의 장기요양시설내 노인학대 문제를 예방하고 해결하기 위한 정책적 제언을 제시하였다.

University/Hospital Collaborations to Promote Research and Evidence Based Practice in Clinical Environments

  • Systems and processes to provide clinical education to students of nursing have been established between universities and health facilities in all countries where nurse education is tertiary based. However, systems and processes to link nurse researchers based in universities to their clinical colleagues are less well developed. When collaborations are established they are frequently based on personal networks, and while the rhetoric of the organizations encourages these collaborations, they are largely unrecognised by senior administrators in health facilities. The research is frequently "invisible" and the clinician researchers usually do not have access to appropriate infrastructure and other resources that are required to support large projects that have the potential to change practice across organisations. This situation influences the focus and scope of nursing research and limits opportunities for clinicians to be engaged in the generation of professional knowledge. The University of Western Sydney (UWS) has taken a strategic approach to the development of collaborations for research and has linked with health services in Western Sydney to establish and maintain research centres and adjunct appointments. The partner organisations jointly fund the infrastructure of the centres which include a Professor, research assistant position(s) and administrative staff. Five Professors of Nursing have been appointed to positions in one of three nursing research centres. This paper describes the approach established by the School of Nursing at UWS to build collaborations with clinical areas to promote research. This approach could be adopted or adapted by other facilities.

  • Governments seek to advance public industry had planed to decreased by 50% of KORAIL management deficit in 2010, The transition to a profit in 2012. In addition. The government will not achieve the goal by 2010, management announced plans to review the case, and privatization. Office of unprofitable station and vehicle maintenance, maintenance work to make cost savings through outsourcing hed discussed how to create KORAIL advancement. April 2011 the government, "A study on th Efficiency of Conventional Railway Infrastructure Maintenance R&D Report" progresses, conventional railway infrastructure maintenance has focused attention on the field. However, the general maintenance of railway facilities without the knowledge and safety awareness, as compared to foreign railway personnel, and productivity has pointed out the contradiction. Economy and efficiency of the railway in order to pursue a public awareness and safety and professionalism is required. In this study, the conventional railway infrastructure maintenance in accordance with Facts would like to introduce efficiency measures.

고령 개실마을의 공동 공간 가꾸기 사업에 관한 연구 (A Study on Public Space Revitalization Project of Goryeong Gaesil Village)

  • The subject village of our study has numerous tourist attractions around it, and possesses various Confucian cultural heritages. The purpose of this study is to investigate public space improvements of a village possessing abundant historical and cultural heritages that has turned into a experience-tour village. As for the research method, cultural and social characteristics of the village were identified. In addition, infrastructures were classified by livelihood based infrastructure, tour based infrastructure, and agriculture based infrastructure in order to analyze individual public space improvement cases. As a result, it was found that public space improvements of the village improved the educational facilities and tour resources using historical resources. In addition, it was found that public spaces for residents to get along with tourists(who are willing to experience the village) were created.

  • As global climate change leaded to extensive natural disaster and radical deterioration of infrastructures, there was increased attentions for the evaluation of infrastructures. After the collapse of Seongsu Bridge in 1994, Korea has enacted the "Special act on safety and maintenance of facilities" and secured the safety of facilities using systematic and periodic safety inspections. However, current facility inspections are mainly performed by the physical defect and structural analysis, and do not properly consider the serviceability of infrastructure such as capacity of facility and user's satisfaction. Thus, the purpose of the study is to develop an evaluation criteria for serviceability of infrastructures and finally leading to the revision of "Special Act on safety and maintenance of facilities in rational manner.

Development of a Joint University Campus as a Key Element in the Regional Innovation System in Sejong Tech Valley, South Korea

  • Sejong City, which has been chosen as a new administrative capital of South Korea, has completed the first phase of its development plan with the construction of the facilities needed to accommodate central administrative organizations and the required accompanying population. Now, it is undergoing the second phase of development with a focus on strengthening the region's innovation capacity to catalyze endogenous development. The strategy for phase II is to establish a regional innovation system including building necessary infrastructure and attracting innovation agents such as universities, businesses, and research institutes. The first step for this is developing a research complex, tentatively named Tech Valley, that includes universities, research institutes, and businesses, and building infrastructure comprising a science complex, a knowledge industry center, and support facilities. Phase II of the city's development initiative includes the establishment of a joint university campus, which is to serve as a center to promote cooperation among industry actors, universities, and research institutes. The concept of a joint campus has been drawn from a need to enhance capacity for innovation and specialization in the region's industries and to maximize synergy among participating universities through the sharing of research equipment, facilities, and programs. The joint campus is expected to play a key role in creating an innovation system in the region by enhancing research capacity for strategic industries, cultivating highly skilled human resources, and leading industry-academia-research cooperation. In order to ensure the sustainable development of the new city, there is a growing need to have a main player in place that could lead the region's economic development. The joint campus will propel industrial specialization and serve as a catalyst to attract competent universities to the region. This paper will examine the concept, major functions, and the establishment and operation of the joint campus.

도시 유역의 우수관망 통수능 개선을 위한 LID 기술 적용 연구 (A Study on Application of LID Technology for Improvement of Drainage Capacity of Sewer Network in Urban Watershed)

  • Both domestic and overseas urban drainage systems have been actively researched to solve the problems of urban flash floods and the flood damage that is caused by local downpours. Recent urban planning has been designed to better manage the floods of decentralized rainfall-management systems, and the installation of green infrastructure and low-impact development (LID) facilities at national ministries has been recommended. In this study, we use the EPA SWMM model to construct a decentralized rainfall-management network for each small watershed, and we analyze the effect of the drainage-capacity improvement from the installation of the LID technologies in vulnerable areas that replaces the network-expansion process. In the design of the existing urban piping systems, it is common to increase the pipe size due to the increment of the impervious area, the steep terrain, and the sensitive entrance-ramp junction; however, the installation of green infrastructure and LID facilities will be sufficient for the construction of a safe urban drainage system. The applications of LID facilities and green infrastructure in urban areas can positively affect the recovery of the corresponding water cycles to a healthy standard, and it is expected that further research will occur in the future.

도로시설물의 자산관리를 위한 자산가치평가방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Asset Valuation Method for Road Facilities Maintenance)

  • 도로시설물은 국가 경제 활동의 기반을 형성하는 기초적인 시설물이며 국가에 필수적인 기반 시설물이다. 현재 국내 관리대상 도로시설물은 해마다 증가하고 있으며, 이에 따른 유지관리비 예산의 상승이 예상된다. 이와 같이 건설되어 축적된 도로시설물에 대한 비용 효율적 관리를 위해서는 자산이 지닌 가치를 객관적으로 나타낼 수 있는 지표가 필요할 것이다. 이러한 지표는 자산가치로써 화폐단위로 나타낼 수 있다. 국외에서는 자산관리 및 자산가치평가에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 실제 공용중인 도로시설물에 적용을 하고 있지만 국내에서는 이에 대한 준비나 연구가 부족한 상황이다. 본 논문은 도로시설물의 자산관리를 위한 합리적인 자산가치평가를 도출하기 위한 방법으로 자산가치평가방법을 기존의 문헌과 연구 자료를 통하여 조사 및 정리를 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 도로시설물에 자산가치평가방법들을 적용하기 위하여 국내 실정과 특성이 반영된 자산가치 프로세스를 개발하였다. 개발된 자산가치 프로세스에 따라 실제 공용중인 도로시설물을 적용하고 그 결과를 분석하여 각 자산가치평가방법들의 활용방안을 도출하였다. 또한, 가장 활용성이 높은WDRC(Written Down Replacement Cost)방법을 이용하여 자산관리업무 수행 절차를 위한 자산 관리 업무지원 모식도를 제시하였다.
