  • In this paper, we propose the design and implementation of a desktop LED stand and smart app that automatically adjusts color temperature and illuminance for optimal brightness and eye health by improving the structural problem of the LED stand. It is a tabletop LED stand that supports optimal brightness through color temperature control and heat transfer through infrared LED to relieve eye strain through blood circulation and muscle movement. The LED stand works with the smartphone to automatically adjust the optimal brightness and color temperature for the user's environment. In addition, the brightness of the infrared LED is adjusted to a living frequency of 4Hz to relax the eye muscles and reduce eye strain. This study implemented an effective measured data-based system of previous studies through the color temperature and illumination of LED lighting, and near-infrared rays, and presented meaningful results by conducting an experiment to prove the effect through subjects.

  • These days, citizens are interested in the energy. IT technology needs to develop and to make use of energy effectively and to save energy. In this study, motion recognition LED lamp was used to have good energy efficiency and to be made of environment friendly material. The purpose of development of the lamp was to add motion recognition to LED lamp. In this study, infrared ray sensor's distance measurement was used to develop LED lamp. Most of the lamps were used under dark environment, so that infrared ray sensor was used to perceive movement under dark environment. And, LED lamp with good efficiency and less power consumption was used to increase efficiency. Citizens were interested in perception of the movement to distinguish from conventional type of the lamps.

  • In this paper, we propose an infrared LED tacking system called IRED Gun, which is designed for the game gun interface. The conventional systems are practically restricted by physical environment and are not robust to the measurement variations. We suggest the IRED Gun system to solve theses problems. Unlike conventional systems, our tracking system uses three infrared LED lights attached on monitor. Since the coordinate calibration is designed to regulate the detected target coordinates, more accurate aim position is calculated, which enables a game player to interact with a game more reliably. The experimental results verify the feasibility and validity of the calibration method and the infrared LED tacking system.

  • At this time, digital cameras are used in art and forensic science. However, the digital camera has some limitations which need to understand of photograph and lighting. It is a useful paper to make an infrared flatbed scanner. The following processes offer an infrared flatbed scanner development. First, the infrared flatbed scanner changes visible fluorescent lamp to infrared LED. Second, it equips a long-pass filter, which is available to pass over 810nm wavelength, on the glass to complete the optimal infrared flatbed scanner. In addition, it must copy from digital camera to computer directly. The infrared digital camera has disadvantage to always irradiate infrared lamp. Because of difference between visible length and infrared length characteristic, they have different focal distance. This devised scanner for solving mentioned problems does not need to irradiate infrared lamp, and there is not a problem about focal point because the depth of field of flatbed scanner is minimum 2mm. Lastly, the infrared flatbed scanner can make high resolution which is 12,800dpi unlike digital camera. Accordingly, the infrared scanner looks forward to be used in many field of study.

  • In this paper, thermal analysis of HDU (Heat Dissipation Unit) for infrared CCTV is performed by using SolidWorks Simulation (Thermal analysis) package, in order to change the part materials and HDU shape is optimized. Furthermore, HDU disperses the aggregated heat around the LED inside the housing. The junction temperature of infrared LED checked by HDU check was $65.83^{\circ}C$, $42.02^{\circ}C$, respectively. In addition, the Thermoelement by changing the shape of the HDU was possibly designed and equipped with. Comparison with simulation and prototype measurement results, without HDU model was $65.83^{\circ}C$, $61.99^{\circ}C$, respectively. In addition to with HDU model was $42.02^{\circ}C$, $39.01^{\circ}C$, respectively. Only HDU mounted into infrared CCTV is usable in the ordinary house or outdoors. Also HDU with thermal element, fan mounted into infrared CCTV is usable in a blast furnace workplace or high temperature workplace.

  • In this study, four common food-borne bacteria, namely, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis, were targeted via irradiation with 270 nm UV C-LED, 365 nm UV A-LED, 465~475 and 620~630 nm visible-LED, and 850 and 5,000~7,000 nm infrared-LED light. The effect on the growth of each bacterial species was investigated. In the case of 270 nm UV C-LED, all four strains showed inhibitory effects compared with the control group when irradiated for 10 or 30 min. Furthermore, when irradiated with 365 nm UV A-LED for 1 or 3 hr, B. subtilis showed 100% growth inhibition. When irradiated with 465~475 nm visible-LED for 1 hr, all four strains showed no significant difference from the control group but showed significant growth inhibition when irradiated for 3 hr. S. aureus and B. subtilis treated with 620~630 nm visible-LED; S. typhimurium and S. aureus treated with 850 nm infrared-LED; and E. coli, S. typhimurium, and S. aureus treated with 5,000~7,000 nm infrared-LED were confirmed to significantly proliferate compared with the control group. The results of this experiment show the potential of the use of various LED light sources as a food preservation and application technology by examining their effect on the inhibition and growth of food-borne bacteria and by grasping the characteristics of each wavelength.

  • The objective of this paper is to develop the real time motion recognition method for the rehabilitation program of the people with physical disabilities. Using the infrared ray LED, this method gets the Teal time information of the user's motion and tells the difference between the information we get and the pre-defined information. In order to get the fast recognition and comparison, this method positions the specific coordinates of infrared ray LED in the pre-classified sector which keeps certain distance and angle from the point of origin. The result In our experiment shows the speed over 20 frames per second in every motion, and we are satisfied the rate for the recognition of the motions which is near 98%.

  • This paper proposes an IR (infrared) LED (Light Emitting Diode)-based tactile fingertip sensor that can independently measure the normal and tangential force between the hand and an object. The proposed IR LED-based tactile sensor has several advantages over other technologies, including a low price, small size, and good sensitivity. The design of the first prototype is described and some experiments are conducted to show output characteristics of the proposed sensor. Furthemore, the effectiveness of the proposed sensor is demonstrated through anti-slip control in a multifunction myoelectric hand, called the KNU Hand, which includes several novel mechanisms for improved grasping capabilities. The experimental results show that slippage was avoided by simple force control using feedback on the normal and tangential force from the proposed sensor. Thus, grasping force control was achieved without any slippage or damage to the object.
