With the development of IT technology, various services such as artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles are being introduced, and many changes are taking place in our lives. However, if secure security is not provided, it will cause many risks, so the information security becomes more important. In this paper, we analyzed the research trends of main themes of information security over time. In order to conduct the research, 'Information Security' was searched in the Web of Science database. Using the abstracts of theses published from 1991 to 2016, we derived main research topics through topic modeling and time series regression analysis. The topic modeling results showed that the research topics were Information technology, system access, attack, threat, risk management, network type, security management, security awareness, certification level, information protection organization, security policy, access control, personal information, security investment, computing environment, investment cost, system structure, authentication method, user behavior, encryption. The time series regression results indicated that all the topics were hot topics.

This study used content analysis to examine the research methods in Library and Information Science journals from 1997 to 2001. Analyses measured research subjects, research method, data collection methods, data analysis methods, hypotheses, theories and research funds. Brief consideration is given to possible future methodological trends : web-based research methods, qualitative research, cooperation between academic society and librarians and research fundraising.

The purpose of this study is to investigate a trend of research in the field of information science in Korea. For this purpose, the study analyzed the subject of each citing and cited articles appeared in the 'Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management' 302 original articles appeared in the journal from 1984 to 2004 were analyzed. 3,270 foreign literatures of library and information science field being cited in the original articles and those 2,492 cited foreign literatures of other field then library and information science were analyzed by subject, by publication year, and by citing age.

The study analyzed the research trends of domestic and international record information services from 2003 to 2022. A total of 136 academic papers registered in the Korea Citation Index (KCI) and 74 from the Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) were examined by quantitative and qualitative content analysis to understand the research status of 20 years from various angles, such as publication year, research type, researcher type, subject, and purpose. Frequency analysis, co-occurrence frequency analysis, centrality analysis, and topic modeling were performed by applying text mining techniques. Results showed that domestic papers demonstrated a research flow focused on specific institutions or records, and user-centered satisfaction surveys and content-centered studies were conducted. Moreover, foreign papers confirmed various evaluation-oriented and information provision studies, such as data, resources, and collections, along with the research trend focusing on the relationship between archivists and users. The management of information resources was identified as a common topic in both domestic and foreign papers, but it is possible to identify that domestic research focuses on maintaining the quality of domestic information resources, while foreign research focuses on the storage and retrieval of information.

Food security and its sovereignty have become among the most important key issues due to changes in the international situation. Regarding these issues, many countries now give attention to smart agriculture, which would increase production efficiency through a data-based system. The Korean government also has attempted to promote smart agriculture by 1) implementing the agri-food ICT (information and communications technology) policy, and 2) increasing the R&D budget by more than double in recent years. However, its endeavors only centered on large-scale farms which a number of domestic farmers rarely utilized in their farming. To promote smart agriculture more effectively, we diagnosed the government R&D trends of smart agriculture based on NTIS (National Science and Technology Information Service) data. We identified the research trends for each R&D period by analyzing three pieces of information: the regional information, research actor, and topic. Based on these findings, we could suggest systematic R&D directions and implications.

This study aims to identify specific topics, trends, and structural characteristics of scholarly communication research, based on 1,435 articles published from 1970 to 2018 in the Scopus database through Latent Dirichlet Allocation topic modeling, serial analysis, and network analysis. Topic modeling, time series analysis, and network analysis were used to analyze specific topics, trends, and structures, respectively. The results were summarized into three sets as follows. First, the specific topics of scholarly communication research were nineteen in number, including research resource management and research data, and their research proportion is even. Second, as a result of the time series analysis, there are three upward trending topics: Topic 6: Open Access Publishing, Topic 7: Green Open Access, Topic 19: Informal Communication, and two downward trending topics: Topic 11: Researcher Network and Topic 12: Electronic Journal. Third, the network analysis results indicated that high mean profile association topics were related to the institution, and topics with high triangle betweenness centrality, such as Topic 14: Research Resource Management, shared the citation context. Also, through cluster analysis using parallel nearest neighbor clustering, six clusters connected with different concepts were identified.

The increasing interest in the corrosion properties of weld joints in the corrosive environment is placing stringent demands on the manufacturing techniques and performance requirements, and the manufacture employs the high quality and efficiency welding process to produce welds. Welding plays an important role in the fabrication of chemical plants, nuclear power plant, ship construction, and this has led to an increasing attention to the corrosion resistant weld joints. This paper covers a recent technical trends of welding technologies for corrosion resistance properties including the COMPENDEX DB analysis of welding materials, welding process, and welding fabrications.

Libraries are recently emerging as the core institutions designed to resolve the information equality that is forecasted to further deepen with the arrival of the fourth industry revolution era. This study thus analyzed the trends of studies on the library services offered to people suffering information inequality in Korea, and proposed measures for the activation of the research and future studies so as to strengthen the domestic library services targeting the people suffering information equality and to promote the research. As a result, proposed as measures for the activation of research were (1) Policy support and project expansion at the national level, (2) Various approaches and research environment creation at the academic level, (3) Strengthening of services for the various levels of people suffering information inequality and deployment of professional librarians at the level of libraries, and (4) Encouraging librarians to enroll with graduate schools and to conduct research. Further, proposed were the future studies that can be approached according to the various levels of people suffering information inequality, such as disabled people, multicultural family members, elderly people, children, youth, agricultural and fishing areas, low-income people, and refugees(North Korea defectors).

In order to monitor the impact of high temperature which is seen frequently with climate change, we investigated the monthly change in globe temperature, air temperature, mean radiant temperature and effective radiant heat flow, because the four well reflect thermal radiation from bio-meteorological aspect. Both globe temperature and air temperature showed an increasing trend every month. Compared to air temperature, globe temperature had a wider range of temperature change and was more influenced by meteorological element such as precipitation. Diurnal trends of air temperature, globe temperature and the difference between their temperature had the lowest value before the sunrise and the highest around $1300{\sim}1500$ LST, showing the typical diurnal trends. Globe temperature and the difference between their temperature had a sharp increase around $1000{\sim}1100$ LST, maintained high value until 1700 LST and then reclined, though varied by month. The difference between globe temperature and air temperature was highly dependent on the amount of precipitation and clouds. The duration in which globe temperature was higher than air temperature was the lowest in July. Therefore the amount of precipitation was the most affecting, followed by the amount of clouds and wind. In order to find out the diurnal trends of temperature in city center and city outskirts, we assumed the roof of a concrete build ing as a city center, and the grass-covered observatory of the Gimhae International Airport as city outskirts. The diurnal trends of temperature in the two sites showed a strong correlation. The highest and lowest temperature also had the same trend.

This study sought to examine five theses from major journals concerning Korea's Library and Information Science, published from 1970 to 2018, so as to diagnose the current stage of International Research collaboration in the field of Korea's Library and Information Science which researchers from two or more different nations jointly conducted. Furthermore, it proposed measures for activating International Research collaboration in the field of Korea's Library and Information Science. First, related conferences should be held and education need to be offered in terms of elevating the awareness of the need and importance of international research collaboration. Second, relevant policies need to be developed and projects should be implemented to strengthen the practical international research collaboration. Third, collaboration with various countries should be pursued in the area of detailed majors of library and information science of greater diversity than now in terms of the detailed majors and countries. Fourth, a research environment supporting the collaboration with various research institutions overseas moving forward will need to be created around the universities.
