  • An integrated design system has as its aim the incoporation of all the design processes, such as, planning, preliminary design, analysis, detailed design (mamber design), evaluation, and drafting into an unified software system. Successful implementation such a system could lead to major improvements in efficiency by eliminating duplication of data and efforts. reducing errors, saving design time, providing management support, and so on. This study presents a methodology for an computer-integrated design system for building structures, synthesizing algorithmic procedures and knowledge based expert systems on the network database. Network database, which was designed to store all information systematically during the design processes, provides centeral communication area between algorithms and expert systems. The conventional procedural codes automate the routine design phases such as structural analysis, whereas knowledge-based expert systems support designer's decisions at the creative design phases such as preliminary design etc. The user interface with interactive and batch modes controls the design phases and manages design information and activates the algorithms and the expert systems. The concept presented in this paper will contribute to the formulation of automated design systems for building structures.

  • In this thesis Fortran and C Libraries are implemented and applied to the real situation of statistical simulation. They contain the routines of random number generators and for various statistical distributions which often used in stochastic simulation. They also contain the routines for calculating probabilities and upper quantiles of various statistical distributions Each routine of them was tested by the various procedures and proved to be very stable

  • This paper concerns the development of a IT-based pile design system within the framework of geographic information system(GIS).   • As E-commerce is getting more popular, consumers faces more decision complexity than ever before because they can get greater alternative choices. Futhermore, consumers are sometimes motivated to expand effort in making a good decision in the case of relatively important and non-routine decison, such as buying a house or car. Thus, a buying decision support function is required to help consumers make decisions that have the greatest effects on consumer's lives. We develop a propotype system of a web-based buying decision support system for a cyber shopping mall. A buying decision of a consumer is a multi-attribute decision problem and is supported using analytic hierarchy process model. The system was implemented using HTML, Java, Java applet, JSP.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify and profile store browsers in terms of their browsing motives, fashion behavioral characteristics, buying behavior and preferred store attributes. The data were collected through questionnaire from 302 female college students by convenient sampling method. Statistical analysis of factor analysis, x²-test, and t-test were performed in analyzing the data. The browsing motives of browsers were to obtains fashion information, sensory stimulation and diversion from routine life. They showed the high level of fashion involvement, shopping confidence, shopping innovativeness, shopping opinion leadership as well s fashion opinion leadership. Browsers tended to be impulse buyers and spent more money on clothing than non-browsers. The attributes that influence their store choice were the variety of products and brands, information availability ,and pleasant store atmosphere.

  • The purpose of this study was to find the conflict levels of the public librarians in Korea. To accomplish this, questionnaire study was done by selecting 311 librarians selected by cluster sampling method from the 11 public libraries in Seoul. The data of intrapersonal, intraorganizational and intrasocial conflicts of the public librarians were analyzed by SAS/pc routine.

  • This paper suggests constraint data modeling based on constraint data presentation techniques to perform complex spatial database operation naturally. We were able to identify the limitation of extendibility of dimension and non-equal framework via relevant research for former schema of spatial database and query processing. Therefore we described generalized tuple of spatial data and the definition of suggested constraint data modeling. Also we selected MLPQ/PReSTO tool among constraint database prototype and compare standard functionality of ARC/VIEW. Then we design scenario for spatial operation using MLPQ/PReSTO and we suggested application effect after query processing. Based on above explanation, we were able to identify that we can process spatial data naturally and effectively using simple constraint routine on same framework via constraint data modeling.

  • 네트워크상의 자원을 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 방범의 하나로 다중 경로 라우팅(multi-path routine)이 있다. 트래픽 엔지니어링(traffic engineering)을 위하여 다중 경로 라우팅을 이용하면 트래픽(traffic) 을 여러 경로로 분산 시켜 트래픽이 한 곳으로 집중하는 현상은 제거 할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 네트워크 상의 유휴자원을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는MPLS환경 하에서 다중 경로 라우팅을 효율적으로 사용하기 위해 제안 되었던 알고리즘에 대하여 분석 하고 각 알고리즘들의 장단점을 비교한다. 그리고 효율적인 다중 경로 라우팅을 위해 추가적으로 필요한 요소를 기술하고, 새로운 다중 경로 라우팅을 위한 구조를 제안한다.

Efficient vector-scalar quantization of line spectrum parirs (LSP) (효율적인 벡터-스칼라 Line spectrum pairs(LSP) 양자화 방법)

  • In this paper, an effiicent quatization method of line spectrum pairs(LSP) with cascaded structure of vector quantizer and scalar quantizer is proposed. First, input LSP parameters is vector-quantized using a codebook with a moderate number of entries. In the second stage of quantization, the components of residual vector are individution improve the quantizer by the scalar quantizer. The utilization of ordering property and the inclusion of interframe prediction improve the quantizer performance and remove the stability check routine. The new vector-scalar cascaded quantizer using 27 bits/frame shows a transparent quality that an average specytural distortion is 1 dB and the frame proportion with above 2 dB spectral distion is less than 2%.
