This research was examined to evaluate whether the websites of 6 policy research institutes provide web resources which were collected and provided as information resources, and that they were sure that the web resources had value as policy information by content analysis method. Web resources provided as policy information in policy research institutes were classified into and evaluated by 4 categories. Evaluation had been conducted on 10 items in the 4 categories of content, design, accessibility and meta data. From the result, the information content have been found to be reliable and up-to-date although more thorough description is required. Navigation and the search function in the design category were found to be excellent, but dead links were present in all of the institutions. The accessibility was proven to be great as it was able to access information with only three clicks. However, it has been found that a comprehensive review of the meta data is required in order to improve the accuracy of search functions. In conclusion, improvements to the dead link problems, quality control of the meta data, systematic and professional management plan of policy research information, and the establishment of a comprehensive policy research information portal system have been proposed.

According as acceptance an order results of plant industry increases, ability of plant project management is required and necessity about information technology is augmented. For required information technology, developing information present conditions that consist of partial or unit system of domestic plant companies by synthetic system, development of systematic plant information system that supply standard direction presentation, tools and know-how about information technology need. A user with a specific information need will often need to query several search engines before finding relevant documents. To address the problem of navigating the search engines, agents are used. In general, an agent is a program that can perform a particular task automatically, when appropriate or upon request by another program. In this paper, we design and implement the education information search system for children: using Information gathering agent that is called Edulnfo4k. The information gathering agent periodically visits several portal web sites for children: Ggureogi of Yahoo Korea, Junior of Naver and Gaegujaengi of Hanmir, collects the education or learning information for children, stores the collected information into database. Then, causal users can search the education information for children from database through a uniform user interface, conveniently. As the result, we know that Edulnfo4k provides integrated search without query in several search engines.

The purpose of this research is to suggest a theoretical base and guideline for the national scientific and technical information center which is assigned to take charge of the management and building knowledge and information infrastructure of the national scientific technology. And the objective of this study is to contribute to strengthen the need of the building of the national scientific and technical information center and provide operation programs and vision toward information center which will be established later. This study suggests a plan and strategy which make it possible to conduct functions as the national repository, clearinghouse, and portal gateway of the electronic resource and propose space program for the optimal building construction. Therefore, the contents of this study cover the building of the national scientific and technical information center as well as the basic plan of scale and space program, validity analysis of site location and environment.

With China Market and strengthening of an international and political position of China, we need to promote exchange and cooperation with China for the supplement of economic vitality and for contriving the contribution of the flow of growth. According to develop the web technology, the data providers are trying to offer the efficient service for customers. Specially it is necessary to improve efficiency of the search function to help user access easily useful information their want. KISTI has introduced and customized the FAST search engine to improve search performance of the national science and technology information portal service system. But the design work for hardware and software implementation of search engine is important above all. In this paper, we discuss about the design and custormizing skill of FAST engine for the KISTI S&T information search service.

Healthcare costs are continuously increasing due to longer life expectancy and providing global healthcare services through medical tourism is new service growth engine for Korea. Several countries have well established programs and infrastructure dedicated to medical tourism. South Korea is attempting to become a major player in this domain by undertaking broad initiatives. The success of medical tourism is greatly impacted by easy access to two types of information, namely, medical and travel information. The National Health Insurance System in Korea collects huge amount of clinical and financial information from all hospitals. However, this information does not get used effectively in health and travel information systems to support medical tourism. This paper provide clear process map of medical tourism to understand how the patient and information process both medical and tourism fields also describe the need of customer and service provider. In this paper, we develop a medical tourism service system that will promote information exchange and service delivery.

Nowadays, the advancement of digital information technology resulting in the increased interest of the management and the use of information has given stimulus to the research on the use and management of information. In this paper, we propose an integrated data mining model that can provide the necessary information and interface to users of scientific information portal service according to their respective classification groups. The integrated model classifies users from log files automatically collected by the web server based on users' behavioral patterns. By classifying the existing users of the web site, which provides information service, and analyzing their patterns, we proposed a web site utilization methodology that provides dynamic interface and user oriented site operating policy. In addition, we believe that our research can provide continuous web site user support, as well as provide information service according to user classification groups.

Anyone curious to easily access and learn Korean history has become interested in Korean history data bases, which will provide accurate and reliable historical information. Furthermore, user demands for information sharing and reusability, available through setting up a semantic web, have been increased, which have taken the shape of linked data. Efforts have been made to construct public data bases containing readily usable contents a user can understand and utilize with ease. They have been produced by several organizations, portal sites, and individuals, trying to deviate from existing mainstreams - expert-based text data bases. A problem with those data bases is that they have not considered such vital factors as the sharing and utilizing of information as a whole. This study suggests a LOD-based Korean history contents implementation system, providing rich information environment by way of multi-dimensional web-data connections. In doing so, this system has tried a historic information circulation service system which is based on information sharing and connecting.

This study was identify web interface design factors for increasing information processing and attention for mentally disabled men. Gaining information via the internet is becoming pivotal in today"s society as the internet is becoming the center of knowledge and information. The goal of this study is to present the guideline of web interface design for the disabled men who are alienated in gaining information from the Internet. If the internet were more user friendly to the disabled men, they would be able to spend more time in doing what they enjoy and also in self development, with the information gained on the internet. This study investigated current portal sites to understand the present situation, surveyed and interviewed the disabled men, and researched literatures on how the disabled men perceive various stimulants and also researched documents for previous guidelines on interface design for them. This study investigated internet sites which the disabled men use to gather information about products and which entice their purchasing desires. The conclusion is that the usability can be improved by eliminating visual dizzy elements in the pages, simplifying the layout and the menu designs which represent the information architecture.
