  • 정보화 시대에 전자상거래를 통한 이윤창출은 시대의 요구이다. 이러한 시점에서 농산물에 대한 전자상거래 활성화는 가격의 결정권을 통해 생산자가 우위권과 교섭력을 갖게되며, 중간마진을 생략하여 이윤의 폭을 넓힐 수 있다. 하지만, 농산물의 특성상 규격화와 표준화가 필요하고 신선류에 대한 거래는 위협수위가 높다. 그러나, 쌀은 규격화, 표준화, 연중공급 등의 편리성이 있어 성공률이 높다. 특히, 연중수요, 택배의 편리성, 유통 중 마모율 낮아 소비자의 신뢰성을 확보하는데 좋은 조건을 갖추고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 쌀을 중심으로 하는 e-Rice 포털 사이트 구축방안을 통해 생산자와 소비자간의 정보공유와 의사결정 채널을 확보할 수 있도록 제시하였다.

Energy Management Services based on Wireless Sensors and Home Gateway

  • In this paper, we propose an energy monitoring and management service based on wireless sensors and a home gateway for homes and buildings. Homes and buildings have a significant energy saving potential compared with other sectors. Sensing, monitoring, and managing of the information on the energy consumption are required for an efficient energy saving service. The proposed system is composed of two main components, wireless sensor and an intelligent home gateway. Wireless sensors have the ZigBee communication interface for communication, and the intelligent home gateway is an energy portal. We expect that energy saving could be achieved with this system. As a further work, we will analyze the practical impact of the proposed service.

  • Institutional repositories (IR) are promising to be extremely advantageous to scholars especially in developing countries. IR initiatives started in India during the late nineties and the popularity of this concept is growing rapidly in the higher educational and research institutions to disseminate newly emerging knowledge and expertise. The purpose of this paper is to critically analyze the network links of IR websites among four IITs that are registered in open DOAR (Directory of Open Access Repositories) web portal. The Institutional Repositories chosen for the study are IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Bombay, and IIT Kanpur. The analysis of the study focused on standard graph and network cohesion metrics, such as density, diameter, eccentricity and distances, and clustering coefficient; for an even more detailed analysis advanced centrality measures and fast algorithms such as clique census are used.

  • 지방자치제 시대에 발맞추어 정보통신부와 행정자치부에서 추진중인 지역정보화 사업에는 지역의 특성을 살린 정보제공을 목표로 한 지역 정보화 센터를 설려하여 지역 주민들에게 생활정보, 산업정보, 행정정보를 제공할 수 있도록 계획하고 있다. 현재 지방자치단체에서는 이러한 업무를 수행할 수 있는 정보화 관련 인력이나 예산은 물론이고 장기적인 계획조차 수립하고 있지 못하고 있는 곳이 많으며, 또한 현재의 조직과 예산으로는 지방자치단체의 자체 개발은 어려운 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 각 지역에 소재한 중ㆍ소기업들에게 제공할 수 있는 산업정보와 일반 시민들이 필요로 하는 생활정보의 기본적인 내용과 틀을 마련하여 전국의 232개 시ㆍ군ㆍ구의 지역 정보화 센터에서 활용할 수 있는 생활/문화. 무역/기업, 산업/경제, 열린 마당에 관한 컨텐츠를 개발하였다.

Fuzzy-based Intelligent Expert Search for Knowledge Management Systems

  • In managing organizational tacit knowledge, recent researches have shown that it is more applicable in many ways to provide expert search mechanisms in KMS to pinpoint experts in the organizations with searched expertise. In this paper, we propose an intelligent expert search framework to provide search capabilities for experts in similar or related fields according to the user's information needs. In enabling intelligent expert searches, Fuzzy Abstraction Hierarchy (FAH) framework has been adopted, through which finding experts with similar or related expertise is possible according to the subject field hierarchy defined in the system. To improve FAH, a text categorization approach called Vector Space Model is utilized. To test applicability and practicality of the proposed framework, the prototype system, "Knowledge Portal for Researchers in Science and Technology" sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Korea, was developed.

An overview of Korean Medicine for burn injury (화상에 대한 최근 한의학적 연구 동향)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to review and summarize the research on a burn. Methods : We reviewed 16 studies about burn which were relative to oriental medicine. We selected those studies from Korean studies Information Service System and Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal. Result : Selected 16 studies were divided into 12 trial articles, 3 case reports and 1 review article. Most of studies reported that oriental medical treatment of burn were effective. Conclusion : Further studies needed for burn and more clinical data would be needed to prove the effects of oriental medical treatment in burn.

  • Genetically engineered mouse models are commonly preferred for studying the human disease due to genetic and pathophysiological similarities between mice and humans. In particular, Cre-loxP system is widely used as an integral experimental tool for generating the conditional. This system has enabled researchers to investigate genes of interest in a tissue/cell (spatial control) and/or time (temporal control) specific manner. A various tissue-specific Cre-driver mouse lines have been generated to date, and new Cre lines are still being developed. This review provides a brief overview of Cre-loxP system and a few commonly used promoters for expression of tissue-specific Cre recombinase. Also, we finally introduce some available links to the Web sites that provides detailed information about Cre mouse lines including their characterization.

Big Data Analytics of Construction Safety Incidents Using Text Mining (텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 건설안전사고 빅데이터 분석)

  • This study aims to extract key topics through text mining of incident records (incident history, post-incident measures, preventive measures) from construction safety accident case data available on the public data portal. It also seeks to provide fundamental insights contributing to the establishment of manuals for disaster prevention by identifying correlations between these topics. After pre-processing the input data, we used the LDA-based topic modeling technique to derive the main topics. Consequently, we obtained five topics related to incident history, and four topics each related to post-incident measures and preventive measures. Although no dominant patterns emerged from the topic pattern analysis, the study holds significance as it provides quantitative information on the follow-up actions related to the incident history, thereby suggesting practical implications for the establishment of a preventive decision-making system through the linkage between accident history and subsequent measures for reccurrence prevention.

Precision Analysis of Geotechnical Information for the 3D Integrated Underground Space Map (3차원 지하공간통합지도 구축을 위한 지반정보 정밀도 분석)

  • Since 2000, the national geotechnical information DB has been constructed by Transport and Maritime Affairs (present Ministry of Land) and recently, it provides more than 210 thousands borehole informations through the geotechnical information DB portal systems. The initial project of underground space information computerization was begun in 2007, focusing on collecting the informations after then additional studies had been conducted to verify the precision and accuracy of collected informations in 2013~2014. In accordance with the recent initiation of the 3D integrated underground space mapping project, it is necessary to construct 3D image of the geotechnical information and evaluate the accuracy and precision of the information. Therefore, in this research, the basic information regarding the precision of the geotechnical DB is provided by kriging method and analysis of RMSE for the systematic 3D construction of geotechnical information. In addition, the elevation data errors of boring information are verified by analysis of elevation data such as boring information data and DEM data.

Application of Korean Alphabet Domain-Names for Convenient Information Access in a Ubiquitous Information Network (유비쿼터스 정보네트워크에서의 편리한 정보액세스를 위한 한글 자음모음 도메인명의 응용)

  • The mobile user interface becomes important to access information fast and conveniently, especially in the ubiquitous computing environment. Among many new services in the mobile computing environment, ubiquitous information networking service was studied using korean alphabet (consonant or vowel) domain-names including Korean single-character domain-names. Instead of handling long English/Korean URL-strings, as convenient user interface for information access, the Korean single-character/alphabet domain names are more convenient than long URL strings to retrieve information and to send information in the wired Internet as well as in the mobile Internet. We studied the convenience of Korean alphabet domain names with PCs as well as with mobile phones. We introduce the Implementation and the application of ubiquitous information portal, which has the functionality of Text to Speech (TTS) and is accessible with Korean single - character/alphabet domain - names.
