A Study on International Marketing Strategies for Korean Traditional Food (한국전통식품의 국제마케팅 전략에 관한 연구 - 미국시장을 대상으로 -)

  • This paper aims to develop international marketing strategies for Korean traditional food and gives some implications to firms that are ready to invest in developed countries with Korean traditional food and to the government that needs to make a policy to support the food industry in international marketing. For this, we researched data and studied domestic and international cases. Also, we extracted two common factors(namely product factor and image factor) through fourteen variables by factor analysis and tested whether both factors significantly influence on the success of international marketing(favorable impression). As a results, we found several key success factors(KSF), including both factors mentioned above and developed international marketing strategies for Korean traditional food reflecting these key success factors.

  • One of the controversial issues in English locative inversion (LI) construction( e. g. Under the tree sat a woman) has been the functional status of preverbal PP and postverbal NP, i.e. whether they are a subject, a complement, or filer (topic) Based on the distributional parallelisms between the PP and NP on the one hand and an ordinary subject and filler on the other this paper proposes that the PP has a dual function as a subject and filler, while the NP also has some subject properties that the PP does not have These mixed functional properties are analyzed in the theory of HPSG expecially with the versions recently developed by Sag(1997) Manning and Sag(1999) and Ginzburg and Sag(to appear). This analysis claims that the LI construction needs to satisfy two general, independent constraints head-subject- phrase and head-filler-phrase. This position suggests that the English LI construction is an instance of the peripheral phenomena whose construction specific constraint is inherited from more general core constraints.   • As technical intellectual work now has become prolific and various, rapid evolution of technical terms needs to collect and manage them systematically and efficiently. The purpose of this study is to suggest the microstructure for systematic definitions of definiendum in terminological dictionaries. This study reveals specific properties or differences of terminography on the basis of terminology and lexicography, analyzes problems of microstructure in a current terminological dictionary, and, based upon the theoretical and practical analysis, attempts to derive structural and methodical suggestions for microstructure of terminological dictionaries.

  • The Digital Terrain Model(DTM) data in the Geographic Information System(GIS) needs to be interpolated for various purposes. Three interpolation methods-Bilinear, Bicubic Spline, and Gregory-Newton interpolation-were used, compared, and analyzed in terms of the visual comparison and numerical analysis in the hilly terrain and relatively flat terrain.

  • BLDC Motor has many advantages but the motor has slots in Stator like as other conventional Motors therefore cannot be eliminated torque ripple which is not acceptable for a special purpose. For high speed and high efficiency and no torque ripple is a Double Cylinder Motor suggested which has a air-gap-winding and rotating yoke with magnet. Because Airgap winding needs no slot and no ironloss is made in rotating yoke. In this paper describes design and construction and theoretical and experimental investigation of a Double Cylinder Motor.

  • This study was designed to find what impacts store attributes and personal characteristics have had on customer loyalty to beauty shops. Participants were 283 men and women who had experienced services in beauty shops and selected from the Metropolitan area, Busan, Gyeongbuk area, Gyeongnam area, Chungcheong area, and other area. In conclusion, technical factor and lifestyle have had the greatest impact on customer loyalty to beauty shops. In beauty market faced with keen competition, the way to meet customers' needs is to run a distinguished beauty shop with distinct beauty techniques in consideration of individual lifestyle. This will help raise customer loyalty to beauty shops. This study has the important implication that personal characteristics as well as store attributes has been proved to be essential for increasing customer loyalty to beauty shops. I hope that future studies will continue to examine different marketing factors by different beauty shops, with additional analysis on the details, contributing to make a marketing strategy available for beauty shop owners.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the recognition of hotel customers when the outside special restaurants opens at hotel instead of restaurant owned by hotel in Seoul City. The major factors are showed up factor analysis as specialty and reliability of hotel and outside restaurant image. They are consisted of 5 categorizes and the results of this study are as follows; First, it is proved that the expectation of customers after opening restaurant will be increased in terms of the lower price and more variety of food & beverage products. Also, the food & beverage will be increased. However, the quality and specialty of products will not be improved as much as customers expected. Considering that the results, hotel guests expect the effect of opening restaurant at hotel for variety products and service. So, Hotel management should understand the changing attitude of customer' needs and expectation.

  • Although actual business environment is getting difficult and hard, IT companies tend to shy away from of annual investment. Many firms have already reached the 25 percent level. However, the profit and the result of their annual investment needs to be evaluated objectively. IT investment analysis usually proceeds by comparing benefits and costs of an IT investment. Much of the problem derives from the historical treatment of IT as an overhead expense rather than a capital asset. What is most worrying about the current situation is the pressure to take a very short-term view of IT. Therefore, this research aims to analyses and justify the necessity of Visionary IT Investment. For this, it is crucial to identify the factors, which affect positively Visionary IT Investment and understand the role of CIO and explain the result of Visionary IT Investment, which is differed to related business and by different business environment. As a result of this study, the legitimacy of IT Investment is proved through analyzing the business value of not investing and cost-avoidance strategies.

  • Automatic language translation has greatly advanced due to the increased user needs and Information retrieval in WWW. This paper utilizes the integrated knowledge bases of noun and verb networks for automatic translation of ambiguous words in the Korean sentences, through the selectional restriction relation in the sentences. And this paper presents the method to verify validity of Korean noun semantic networks that are used for the construction of the selectional restriction relation by applying the networks to the syntactic and semantic properties Integration of Korean Noun Networks into the SENKOV system will provide the accurate and efficient knowledge bases for the semantic analysis of Korean NLP.

  • With a focus on Facebook, the most popular social network service (SNS), this research tried to find out which type of motivation makes users to spend more time on the SNS and in the same vein, which type of motivation makes users to believe that they will continue to use the SNS. The result shows that the need for play (entertaining) and image as social reputation affect the current amount of use, while the needs for information search, building relationship, and entertainment would make them continue to use.
