A Comparative Analysis on Performance of Transport Facilities in Subway for Vulnerable Pedestrians and Non-Vulnerable Pedestrians Using Modified-IPA (M-IPA를 이용한 장애인과 일반인 지하철 이동시설만족도 비교 연구)

  • This article analyzes the obtained data on consciousness survey of disabled and non-disabled pedestrians, and proposes fundamental data for public strategy in order to enhance facilities in subway stations in advance. This paper conduct literature review, new listing survey related to 'The Code for Improvement of Convenience for Moving Vulnerable Pedestrians', and Modified-Importance-Performance Analysis (M-IPA). The results show that disabled pedestrians want enhancement in information facilities as a whole. In addition, the results show that several improvements needs to be applied to accessible sidewalk, to informative notification, to alarm and evacuation system and to toilet for disabled pedestrians. This indicates that disabled pedestrians heavily concentrate on accessibility to subway station and provided information compared with disabled pedestrians.

  • In the recent war between Ukraine and Russia, low-orbit satellite communication played a major role, and Korea laid a foothold for low-orbit satellite communication services with the successful launch of Nuri in May 2023 and entered a full-scale civilian space age competition. In order to create an ecosystem for ICT digital transformation and data convergence in the field of low-orbit satellite communication, this paper conducts user sentiment analysis by importing posts from Reddit, one of the world's SNS, and extracts need-related sentences through need mining to identify user needs, performs topic modeling to classify topics, and prepares an action plan according to these topics. We hope that this study will be used as a policy resource for the development and innovation of new business models in the field of low-orbit satellite communication, bridging the digital information gap and solving social problems, contributing to sustainable digital transformation and enhancing soft power.

  • The development of NGS technologies, such as scientific workflows, has reduced the time required for decoding DNA sequences. Although the automated technologies change the genome sequence analysis environment, limited computing resources still pose problems for the analysis. Most scientific workflow systems are pre-built platforms and are highly complex because a lot of the functions are implemented into one system platform. It is also difficult to apply components of pre-built systems to a new system in the cloud environment. Cloud computing technologies can be applied to the systems to reduce analysis time and enable simultaneous analysis of massive DNA sequence data. Web service techniques are also introduced for improving the interoperability between DNA sequence analysis systems. The workflow-based middleware, which supports Web services, DBMS, and cloud computing, is proposed in this paper for expecting to reduceanalysis time and aiding lightweight virtual instances. It uses DBMS for managing the pipeline status and supporting the creation of lightweight virtual instances in the cloud environment. Also, the RESTful Web services with simple URI and XML contents are applied for improving the interoperability. The performance test of the system needs to be conducted by comparing results other developed DNA analysis services at the stabilization stage.

  • A basic ability test is conducted in recent days to screen gifted students who could make a contribution to the enhancement of national competitiveness in knowledge-based information society. A basic ability is here defined as an ability related to creativity and thinking faculty, and CS literacy is ruled out, though it seems that everybody needs CS literacy in knowledge-based information society. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between CS literacy and giftedness. The subjects in this study were 61 gifted students. The selected students participated in an CS program during a six-week period of time in order to find out the effect of the program. And it's found that there were gaps among the students in CS literacy according to the level of giftedness, and information science literacy has a statistically significant correlation to giftedness. Therefore a screening test of gifted students should cover CS literacy, as CS literacy seems to be mandatory for every field of information society.

  • University library in university organization needs more to innovating with through information management systems. In this paper introduced IMS to university library in Korea. In this paper investigated difference of recognition between college and university about IMS. The samples (n=67) were composed of those who had already engaged in university library and college. The results of this study were as follows; Most participants who was considerate no more important to mind for IMS introduction. Then, the results of ANOVA analysis was recognized employee's about IMS that among of the best problems was negative(-) effect to introduction necessary and introduction timeless of IMS was insignified with F=0.469(p=0.497), sig=0.05. and F=2.410(p=0.125), sig=0.05. By the way, education necessary of IMS was signified with F=7.470(p=0.008), sig=0.01. Finally, in this paper provided the fundamental data for the standardization and transparency related to policy establish of university library for introducing of IMS.

  • Development of hospital information system and Picture Archiving Communication System is not new in the medical field, and the development of internet and information technology are also universal. In the course of such development, however, it is hard to share medical information without a refined standard format. Especially in the department of radiology, the role of PACS has become very important in interchanging information with other disparate hospital information systems. A specific system needs to be developed that radiological reports are archived into a database efficiently. This includes sharing of medical images. A model is suggested in this study in which an internal system is developed where radiologists store necessary images and transmit them in the standard international clinical format, Clinical Document Architecture, and share the information with hospitals. CDA document generator was made to generate a new file format and separate the existing storage system from the new system. This was to ensure the access to required data in XML documents. The model presented in this study added a process where crucial images in reading are inserted in the CDA radiological report generator. Therefore, this study suggests a storage and transmission model for CDA documents, which is different from the existing DICOM SR. Radiological reports could be better shared, when the application function for inserting images and the analysis of standard clinical terms are completed.

  • The purposes of the study is to evaluate the discrepancy between user's expectation and satisfaction degree in the service of uTradeHub. In this regard, this study infers general solutions in order to induce the intersection area using IPA technique. Then this paper will present directions to improve the service of uTradeHub. In terms of methodology, this article disclosed that IPA model approach is greatly useful to evaluate user's attribute. First, variables like the link of different works(f1), trust of system(f4), information connection(f7) are located on the first quadrant. This means that importance and satisfaction are all high variables for user. So, this is very important variables that need continuous administration in order to maintain present state. Second, variables such as the speed of information acquisition(f2), improvement of use(f3), stability of system(f5) are located on the second quadrant. This means that user's importance is high but user's satisfaction is low. Therefore, this area needs an active improvement strategy and quick maintenance for e-Trade application. Third, variables like the appropriateness of information usage fees(f8), easy subscription(f9), customer support service(f10) are located on the third quadrant. Because these variables are all low for user's importance and satisfaction, we have to arrange strong and radical remedy for e-Trade service. Finally, variables like information offer(f6) are located on the fourth quadrant. This means that user's satisfaction is high but user's importance is low. The research result suggests that e-Trade service development would be re-organised as much as user feels the importance of process innovation.

  • For the accurate creation of annotation information in a free-form annotation environment, the ambiguity that arises in the analysis stage between the geometric information and annotations needs to be resolved. Therefore, this This paper identifies, analyzes, and proposes presents solutions methods for the ambiguity that can occur between free-form marking and various contexts in XML-based annotation environment. The proposed method is based on context which includes various textual and structure information between free-form marking and annotated part. The proposed method show that the annotated portions areas included in the free-form marking information are more accurate, achieving more accurate exchange results amongst multiple users in a heterogeneous document environment. A novel ID-based multi-domain handover protocol for mesh points in WMNs

  • Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) provide an efficient and flexible method to the field of wireless networking, but also bring many security issues. A mesh point may lose all of its available links during its movement. Thus, the mesh point needs to handover to a new mesh point in order to obtain access to the network again. For multi-domain WMNs, we proposed a new ID-based signcryption scheme and accordingly present a novel ID-based handover protocol for mesh points. The mutual authentication and key establishment of two mesh points which belong to different trust domains can be achieved by using a single one-round message exchange during the authentication phase. The authentication server is not involved in our handover authentication protocol so that mutual authentication can be completed directly by the mesh points. Meanwhile, the data transmitted between the two mesh points can be carried by the authentication messages. Moreover, there are no restrictions on the PKG system parameters in our proposed multi-domain ID-based signcryption scheme so our handover scheme can be easily applied to real WMNs circumstances. Security of the signcryption scheme is proved in the random oracle model. It shows that our protocol satisfies the basic security requirements and is resistant to existing attacks based on the security of the signcryption. The analysis of the performance demonstrates that the protocol is efficient and suitable for the multi-domain WMNs environment.
