This paper presents a method to segment the object of interest from a set of multi-view images with minimal user interaction. Specifically, after the user segments an initial image, we first estimate the transformations between foreground and background of the segmented image and the neighboring image, respectively. From these transformations, we obtain regions in the neighboring image that respectively correspond to the foreground and the background of the segmented image. We are then able to segment the neighboring image based on these regions, and iterate this process to segment the whole image set. Transformation of foregrounds are estimated by feature-based registration with free-form deformation, while transformation of backgrounds are estimated by homography constrained to affine transformation. Here, both are based on correspondence point pairs. Segmentation is done by estimating pixel color distributions and defining a shape prior based on the obtained foreground and background regions and applying them to a Markov random field (MRF) energy minimization framework for image segmentation. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
A computer program to numerically predict the permeability tensor of fractured rocks is developed using information on discontinuities which Borehole Televiewer and Borehole Image Processing System (BIPS) provide. It uses orientation and thickness of a large number of discontinuities as input data, and calculates relative values of the 9 elements consisting of the permeability tensor by the formulation based on the EPM model, which regards a fractured rock as a homogeneous, anisotropic porous medium. In order to assess feasibility of the program on field sites, the numerically calculated tensor was obtained using BIPS logs and compared to the results of pumping test conducted in the boreholes of the study area. The degree of horizontal anisotropy and the direction of maximum horizontal permeability are 2.8 and $N77^{\circ}CE$, respectively, determined from the pumping test data, while 3.0 and $N63^{\circ}CE$ from the numerical analysis by the developed program. Disagreement between two analyses, especially for the principal direction of anisotropy, seems to be caused by problems in analyzing the pumping test data, in applicability of the EPM model and the cubic law, and in simplified relationship between the crack size and aperture. Aside from these problems, consideration of hydraulic parameters characterizing roughness of cracks and infilling materials seems to be required to improve feasibility of the proposed program. Three-dimensional assessment of its feasibility on field sites can be accomplished by conducting a series of cross-hole packer tests consisting of an injecting well and a monitoring well at close distance.
To compare the differences in the recognition on hospital utilization and satisfaction, 368 hospital employees and 485 patients were selected in four hospitals in Seoul and Kyung-gi do. The survey was done using a constructed form of checklist from Apr. 30 to May 10, 1999. And the results are as follows: l. Gaining knowledge of hospitals available among hospital employees differed from that of patients. When finding out about sources of information concerning hospitals, direct visit to the hospital was recognized to be the main factor for the hospital employees in contrast to the patients' recognition which were mass media, personal involvement of job related workplace and recommendations from other hospitals. There was no difference between university and general hospitals. 2. The factors that concern which hospital to choose there was a difference between hospital employees and patients. Hospital employees recommended their own hospital solely based on the reason that it was their work place. On the other hand, the patients made a choice based on the type of medical staff, transportation available and whether it was a university hospital or not. There was no difference between university and general hospitals. 3. The recognition of employees concerning hospital image of a hospital between hospital employees and patients was different. In university hospitals, the employees recognized the name value of university hospital and cooperation as most important, whereas the patients thought convenience, kindness were the main factors. Patients considered general hospitals to be more convenient. There was some difference between university and general hospitals. For university hospitals employees' recognition was higher and for the general hospital patients' recognition is higher on hospital image. 4. The recognition of employees was different from that of patients' on hospital satisfaction. The patients' satisfaction was higher than that of employees'. There was no difference between university and general hospitals. Based on the above findings, the employees' recognition on hospital utilization and satisfaction was different from that of the patients, but there was no difference between university and general hospitals. In both groups choice of hospital was associated with satisfaction. Results showing difference between employees' and patients' recognition can be applied to implement customer-oriented attitude and be used as a baseline data for internal-external marketing planning of hospital management. The study may be limited in that the results cannot be generalized due to its small sample size and not being able to reflect demographic variables and life style. Further studies to investigate the difference of hospital utilization and hospital satisfaction will be necessary to define demographic characteristics and recognition of employees which influences patients' hospital satisfaction.
This paper examines the rising value of social networked journalism and analyzes the case of a social news site based on the theory of networked journalism. Social networked journalism allows the public to be involved in every aspect of journalism production through crowd-sourcing and interactivity. The networking effect with the public is driving journalism to transform into a more open, more networked and more responsive venue. "wikitree" is a social networking news service on which anybody can write news and disseminate it via Facebook and Twitter. It is operated as an open sourced program which incorporates "Google Translate" to automatically convert all its content, enabling any global citizen with an Internet access to contribute news production and share either their own creative contents or generated contents from other sources. Since its inception, "wikitree global" site has been expanding its coverage rapidly with access points arising from 160 countries. Analyzing its international coverage by country and by news category as well as by the unique visit numbers via SNS, the results of the case study imply that networking with the global public can enhance news traffic to the social news site as well as to specific news items. The results also suggest that the utilization of Twitter and Facebook in social networked journalism can break the boundary between local and global public by extending news-gathering ability while growing audience's interest in the site, and engender a feasible business model for a local online journalism.
This study redefines the networks' connection behaviors and the terms confusion over the settlement in Netflix-SK Broadband's dispute through domestic and foreign legal references. Conflict parties, academics and the media use the terms "interconnection fee" or "Access fee" without uniformity, and in some cases mixes for strategic purposes. The use of different terms for the same phenomenon (or vice versa) has a high need for research in that it makes it difficult to reach a unified approach to the problem, to discuss it productively and rationally, and, moreover, to resolve disputes. Therefore, this study cross-referenced/analyzed terms related to network utilization and connectivity, namely "Use", "Access", "Interconnection" and thus cost-related terms as a counter-pay. In addition, it suggests that interconnection fees and access fees should be used separately, and allows them to function as a starting point in resolving future ICT sector issues. As a result of this study, the price against the network access/use between Netflix and SK Broadband is access fee or retail price, and proposes to be used uniformly in the term "interconnection fee" only for fees incurred in interconnection between ISPs that possess or operate networks.
The evolution of computing environments caused various dharges in our society. The change cj instruction media is one of these effects. WWW using network techndogy is regarded as a pov.powerful tool for rerrote instruction. The methods of utilizing network technologies in design instrudion and design process rould be diversified comparing with those of other general instruction. Computer graphics has been regarded as a very use!u design tool for its accuracy and rapidty. Network can help us to do creative work using cornplter graphics. The merits of this technology are sharing resources and rraking it easy to roIlaborate. Recent cxxnputer graphics instruction has some defects in oontents and methods. The oontents have a weak relationship with other industrial design subjects. From above, the purpose of this thesis is to use computer graphics and netv.urk technology for supporting basic design instruction. Virtual gallery using WWW can be a cyberspare v.tlere the evaluation of results and the exchange of information take plare. This tool makes it easier to oomrunicate and oollaborate with dassmates. A casestudy-Composition with basic objectswas exea.rted by individual for distributed asynchronous rmde. The results of this thesis are summarized for four factors. Rrst, it was easy to transform idea. Serond, student-oriented working was performed. Third, interaction among students was activated. Fourth, not only final results, but also midterm results was oonsidered for evaluation. These methods also have problems as rerent instruction methods, but it rould be used as a instruction tool to compensate for existing instruction methods.
Digital video content is the most information-intensive and high-value content. Therefore, it is necessary to protect the intellectual property rights of these contents, and this paper also proposes a watermarking method of digital image for this purpose. The proposed method uses the frequency characteristics of 2-Dimensional Discrete Wavelet Transform (2D-DWT) for digital images and digital watermark on global data without using local or specific data of the image for watermark embedding. The method to insert digital watermark data uses a simple Quantization Index Modulation (QIM) and a multiple watermarking method that inserts the same watermark data in multiple. When extracting a watermark, multiple watermarks are extracted and the final watermark data is determined by a simple statistical method. This method is an empirical method for experimentally determining the parameters in the watermark embedding process. The proposed method performs experiments on various images against various attacks and shows the superiority of the proposed method by comparing the performance with the representative existing methods.

This study was to investigate the recognition level of food safety from high school students(264 male, 276 female) in Chuncheon area using questionnaires. The results of the survey are summarized as follows : Regarding the general consciousness of the conditions of food safety, the proportion of the students who worry about it is higher, while 40.0% respond they are not concerned with it. The information pertinent to food safety was usually acquired from the mass media. As a fundamental reason responsible for the food safety accidents, they pointed out deficient sense of responsibility of the personnels who produce, distribute, and sell food products. As the most problematic materials threatening food safety, they pointed out heavy metals(24.8%), and subsequent responses were environmental hormones(24.4%), food additives(17.0%). The foods, for which they are most concerned about residual pesticides, were vegetables and fruits. High proportion of the students perceived that agricultural products are not safe from residual pesticides, and most of the students(92.4%) thought that residual pesticides are bad for their health. The examination on the food safety influenced by heavy metals reveals that 87.4% of the students thought the materials do influence food safety. As the food kind that is likely to be most polluted by heavy metals, they pointed out fishery products. The highest concern about processed food stuffs was the food additives. Most of the students thought that the containers of processed foods may be toxical. 25% of the students are more seriously considering food safety when they buy foods. High proportion of the students who responded they confirm safety-related matters at the time of food purchase thought much of food safety, while high proportion of those who didn't confirm those matters lay a great importance on the taste.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic information on clothing preference to help teachers suggest clothes that help students adapt better to school life, and to get basic data specific to Home Economics curricula and how teenagers' attitude toward clothes correlate with their conformity to school as a whole. The survey of 587 students was conducted between December 17-24, 2012 in Gwangju. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 for window program: frequency, means, factor analysis, cluster analysis, Chronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, and ANOVA. There were significant differences in the many adolescents's adapted to school life based on the clothing behavior conformity and the attitude toward the name-brand. The results showed that, if it is not extreme, adolescents had the more the clothing behavior conformity on peer & mass media than less, they did well adapt on school life. And the group of more preference for the name-brand clothing result in low school discipline adaptation but high peer and teacher relationship. In adaptation of learning, they were not different significantly based on attitudes toward the name brand.

The purpose of this study was to assess the need for nutritional education in male workers living in Busan, Korea. This study surveyed 310 industrial workers at five companies in Busan using a questionnaire. According to the results, need for nutritional education scored 3.60/5.00 points. The usage rate of mass media as a means of acquiring nutritional information was significantly higher (P<0.001) in subjects in their 50s compared to other age groups. Regarding scores on need for nutritional education according to theme, 'balanced eating habits' showed the highest score, followed by 'food safety', 'diet therapy related to a disease', and 'food hygiene and food poisoning prevention'. In terms of frequency of nutritional education, 29.0% of subjects considered 'biannually' to be desirable, whereas 25.8% and 21.0% considered 'annually' and 'quarterly' to be desirable, respectively. The results of this study suggest that nutritional education for industrial workers should be implemented in various ways in accordance with their characteristics. Furthermore, considering workers' low awareness levels of the need for nutritional education, employees are required to take the education in order to encouraged to improve their nutritional status and commit to a desirable diet.
