The Study on the Appropriate of the Housing Education in the Middle Home Economics Education to the Agriculture District (중등 가정과 주생활 내용의 농촌지역 적합성에 관한 조사연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the situation of present housing education and to plan the development of housing education which is valuable as a basic information adjusted a rural condition. The conclusions are as follows; The present educational contents of housing life don’t emphasize the social, economic, and psycological part, but emphasize too much the physical part. Especially, it deals with the general part for Citizens and doesn’t appropriate to the housing condition of the students in rural environment. Therefore, the present educational contents of housing life needs to modify.

  • The aims of this study was to provide information of sites to potential buyers and apartment builders through a comparative investigation on the urban criteria in 5 disDicts of Usan city Mugeo, Daun, Guhwa, Guyoung, and Cheonsang. The content analysis method was used to determine the urban factors which reviewed the urban and environment plan legal system and contents of plans which analyzed the housing characteristics in Ulsan city. Also utilized were professional's opinion and various emphasized elements such as the location of apartments through newspaper advertisement from 1990 to 1999. The urban evaluation factors used in this study were degree of air and noise pollulion, traffic facilities, land use, living environment and economics. Major findings are as follows: Mugeo area has the most convenience community facilities, Guyoung and Cheonsang areas have excellent natural environment-air and noise pollution.

  • Technology and knowledge are emerging as core elements of competitiveness for businesses. SMEs lack technology and knowledge, and are also limited in their ability to absorb external knowledge. The government is supporting SMEs' absorption of external knowledge by utilizing retired scientists and engineers, but related research is insufficient. Thus, this study conducted an empirical analysis on the effects of support by retired scientists and engineers at SMEs. Specifically, the study confirmed the effects of company competitiveness and technology development capacities at each stage of technology commercialization. Results of the study confirmed that in an environment where technology competitiveness of SMEs are emphasized, the support of retired scientists and engineers has some effect on the competitiveness of SMEs and their technology development capacity. Therefore, this study suggests important implications for future policy development and execution of related projects.

  • This study aims to propose an assessment model on environmental economics which will provide useful information in making a decision for the implementation of pro-environmental and economical construction projects. To meet the objective, this study suggests a procedure to estimate environmental cost of construction projects. The model combines environmental load assessment and environmental value assessment. The environmental cost of pollutant generated from the construction project was estimated utilizing the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) which is a value assessment method borrowed from economic science. The devised model is expected to provide a useful methodology that will scientifically support the planning and management of sustainable construction not only in the environmental aspect but also in the economical aspect.

A Study of Teaching based on Practical Problems Solving of the area of Food Habits in Middle School Home Economics (중학교 가정 교과 중 식습관 단원에 실천적 문제 해결과정을 적용한 수업연구)

  • The purpose of this study is (1) to develop the teaching plan based on Practical Problems solving on the area of food habits in home economics class and (2) to investigate the participation of teaching, the attitude of teaching method and food life. The subject of this study was two classes consisted off 66 students(male 26. female 40, 33 for each class) who are the first grade of middle school. The comparison group was taught by lecturing. while the experiment group by cooperative learning. The period of this experiment was three weeks: from June 7th to Jun 23th. 1999. The experiment was conducted through 5 classes. First of all students identify the problem of food habits and seek and evaluate information. Students evaluate actions and reflect on decision and evaluate action. The statistical method for the study was a paired T-test. The results of this study are as follows: 1. After experiment, the participation of teaching(p<.05) and the attitude of teaching method(p<.01) in the experiment group showed a statistically significant difference. Therefore the students in the class based on the practical problems solving took an active part in teaching 2. The practical problems solving is more effective than the lecturing in doing guide the positive attitude of teaching. 3. Through the experiment the attitude of food life in the experiment group showed a statistically significant difference(p<.05) Therefore the practical problems solving is more effective than the lecturing in changing positive attitude of food life.

A Study on School Uniform Modification Behavior and School Uniform Fitting Evaluation of Middle and High School Students (중·고등학생의 교복변형행동과 교복치수 맞음새에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was conducted to improve middle and high school students' satisfaction on their uniforms and to provide basic information for their better size systems. This study analyzed the purchasing and modification behavior, fitting evaluation, and size decision aspect of students. This study was surveyed middle and high schools students in Daegu City. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, percentage, t-test, chisquare test. The results of this study are as follows; 61.3% of the students interviewed have experienced to modify their uniforms. Since the unfittable size and non-fashionable design caused the students to modify their uniforms, it seems necessary to set up the various uniform sizes, as well as figuring out its aesthetic characteristic. Between middle school and high school students, and students with a uniform modification and students without a uniform modification, there were partially differences in fitting evaluation, and size decision.

  • Nowadays, technology and information are developing rapidly. It compels an organization or a company strive to excel in its field. In the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, companies must maintain their assets and technology to face the competition. One asset that should be paid attention to is human resources. Human resource has two important variables, namely Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and Employee Engagement (EE). This study aims to analyze the relationship between OCB and EE on Employee Performance (EP) in the manufacturing industry in Tangerang. This study is conducted using a quantitative method with 200 respondents. The data is collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents, which is then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 23 software. The result of this study indicates that OCB has a significant effect on EE and EP. This study also finds that employee engagement has a significant effect on employee performance and can mediate the relationship between OCB and EP. From these results, the implication that can be taken is that the manufacturing industry in Tangerang must pay attention to their employees for them to develop OCB and EE, and eventually increase their performance towards the organization.

  • This study aims to examine the consumer preference for packaged bean curd that takes a growing public interest. Specifically, this study tried to examine which is more important - the place of origin of the raw bean or the environmental-friendliness of the raw bean. Surveys were conducted to obtain information, such as the consumer evaluation for food safety on imported food products from China and the consumer perception of Chinese organic food products, Using the binary probit model, the relationship between consumer's choice of packaged bean curd and potentially important factors that can affect the consumer's choice was analyzed. A summary of this research and some policy implications follow. The results of this study can be used as the basic guideline as to how to extend the safety of imported food products, in general, and how to further develop the packaged bean curd industry in Korea, in particular.

Clothing & Textiles Education before the First Curriculum (Part II) -Secondary School Home Economic Textbooks- (교육과정기 이전의 의생활 분야의 교육내용에 대한 고찰 (제2보) -중등 가사를 중심으로-)

  • The theory of household arts and practical acts are two traditional mainstream topics of official South Korean secondary home economics education. The clothing and textile education within the Secondary School Home Economics Textbook (1948) is various and practical. The first year textbook discusses the symbolism and maintenance of uniforms that provides information on the characteristics of cotton. Clothing and textiles are covered in 26 pages out of the 76 page book. The second year textbook includes the theory of color and form, along with the characteristics of flax and silk. Clothing and textile education is covered in 33 pages out of the 97 second year textbook. The third year textbook deals with the characteristics of wool, manufactured fibers, cross weaving, removing stains, clothing arrangements, and equipment; 5 chapters (56 pages out of 137) are spent on clothing and textiles. The fourth year textbook introduces the history of clothing, laundry principles, dyeing, bedclothes, and bed accessories; 4 chapters (63 pages out of 125 pages) are spent on clothing and textiles. The Secondary School Home Economics Textbook (1948) is highly extensive and profound in depth. It is comparable with modern college or specialized high school level clothing and textile education in terms of clothing materials, clothing maintenance, color theories, and dyeing.

A Study on the Development of Learning Materials for Clothing Behavior (의생활 영역 학습자료 개발에 관한 연구(제7차 교육과정 중학교 2학년 기술ㆍ가정을 중심으로))

  • The purpose of this study was to prepare lesson plans, study aids and multimedia learning materials for the clothing units in TechnologyㆍHome economics of the 7th national curricula. It's also meant to utilize these materials in instruction in order to provide students with more direct and practical learning experience and make them capable of leading a successful life in the 21st century. 1. The teaching plans were mapped out for the clothing units in TechnologyㆍHome economics class for middle school grade 2, which were all covered by eight textbooks: clothing and life(the function of clothes, my attire, wearing a suit, and wearing Korean traditional dress), the preparation of garments(the type of fiber, understanding of stuff, and preparing garments), and cloth care and storage (washing, storage, alteration and recycling). 2. The lesson plans included information on the name of units, period, learning objectives, teaching environment, materials, learning content, introduction, development, remarks, topping off, announcement for next session, and related Web sites. 3. To raise the effect of education, study aids were developed to be appropriate for the units. The lesson plans and study aids for the clothing part of TechnologyㆍHome economics class for middle school grade 2 would serve to help students build the right clothing habits, and are expected to serve as good teaching materials.
