  • The KERIS having a central role in education information has selected IT Architecture as a means to provide high quality service for customers; based on this, it intends to lay the groundwork for general information projects to come and perform the IT Governance, the management system for information system. The KERIS set up a mid- and long-term road map in order to introduce and utilize ITA and has been preparing for the introduction of architecture to a proper business sector using architecture approaches by segments(sectors) since 2005. This study presented several cases which organizations can refer to when they introduce architecture while promoting an architecture project; and the details were discussed as follows.ition stage, but planned decision-making will take over when it is proven to be effective with information searching.

  • The intelligent railway operation information architecture is to provide the railway passengers with the intermodal transportation information service. The purpose of the information architecture is to suggest the information service architecture of the intermodal transportation structurally. First, the architect procedure is to analysis the user requirements and according to these requirements, is to make the description of service requirements. Then secondly, it decides the service items and based of these items, it is to construction of service architecture. Finally, service package provide an accessible, deployment oriented perspective to intelligent railway operation information architecture

  • Spatial information is essential for administrative affairs. So many Administrative Information System(AIS)s and Geographic Information System(GIS)s have been implemented at local government to support administrative affairs. AIS deals with document based information, and is not designed to use map information. Also, various information is not matched, because address systems for AIS and coordinate system for GIS are different. Therefore, existing AIS and GIS are not suitable for linking administrative affairs and spatial information. This paper deals with the enterprise architecture for local government to support the linkage of administrative affairs and spatial information. Enterprise architecture in this paper is composed of business architecture, data architecture, application architecture, and technical architecture. Each architecture is designed up to planner's and owner's level. Detail structures of each architecture follow the practical guidance for applying e-government enterprise architecture in Korea. Business and data architecture are applied to transportation administrative affairs.

  • As $\ulcorner$Law about efficient introduction and operation etc. of information system$\lrcorner$ that is called ITA law is enforced by July 1, 2006, Information Technology Architecture introduction is beginning in earnest in public institution. Because information present condition grasping, policy-making, and efficiency of information investment decision are increased in country dimension through Information Technology Architecture. This paper introduces Information Technology Architecture's concept and domestic Information Technology Architecture construction's present condition, NTIS Information Technology Architecture construction example, and describes about 'Information Technology Architecture Framework' that is the point of 'Information Technology Architecture base thesis' for Information Technology Architecture induction, practical use and management among them.

  • This article addresses the question of how the operational architecture for a railway safety information system should be developed. A successful railway safety information system can be developed by fully reflecting the business process and needs at the enterprise level. To date, there has been minimal research effort towards the development of the operational architecture for a railway safety information system. To this end, a variety of enterprise architectures have been studied so far. In this paper, as an important guideline, DoDAF (Architecture Framework) is selected to be used in developing a railway safety information system. In particular, we propose a method to implement the operational architecture based on DoDAF.

  • This paper is to show the meaningfulness of applying Information Technology Architecture (ITA) to the modeling of a nation-wide e-Business architecture framework. After reviewing various architecture frameworks we suggested a unique architecture framework called VMT (Views, Models, and Time-frames). VMT represents five views of e-Business stakeholders; six models of data, function, network, agent, event, and rule; and three timeframes of short-term, mid-term, and long-term. VMT is an extension and unification of popular frameworks including Zachman's framework that has international recognition and use, C4ISR architecture framework of US DoD's, and Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) of the US Federal Government's.

  • Enterprise Architecture and its management focuses on the integration of business processes and IT infrastructure, and have received considerable attention from the academic and the practice audience. Despite this attention, some lacuna can be observed that questions some of the fundamental pillars of the domain. The current business environment demands in the response to digitalization add to further challenges which call for the need to reconceptualise enterprise architecture to be relevant to the emerging context. We respond to this call by presenting a comprehensive review of the literature concerning enterprise architecture and management to facilitate future work. Our review revealed various facets related to enterprise architecture and enterprise architecture management which we present and discuss here. Further, we also chart out possible areas of future explorations. By doing so, this research lays a foundation for continuing inquiry on enterprise architecture and management, contributing to new knowledge for the field.

  • Since management of information resources is getting more complicated in the distributed, heterogeneous computing environment, the capability of monitoring and controlling the dispersed information resources is perceived as a critical success factor for the effective enterprise-wide information resource management. Integrated Control Architecture(ICA) provides that capability. Utilizing such architecture, we can manage corporate information resources more efficiently, perform impact analysis for changes in information resources, and alleviate the human effort by automating the monitoring of critical information resources. In this paper, we propose a conceptual framework and metamodel of ICA.

  • This paper describes an architecture information management system using XML. The purpose of the system is to manage the information stored in standard format, XML, that has many valuable properties. The proposed architecture information consists of project information, drawing information, and material information. Each information is expressed using XML and for each information, XML schema is presented in this paper. In this system, detail information of materials that exists on the supplier's homepage can be displayed when the user of the system wants to check the detail information. Also, drawings stored in STEP data can be browsed in this system. The reports of each information are prepared using XSL. The proposed system shows that XML can be used for a format to store architecture information and various functions can be implemented based on XML related standards.

  • Multi-agent technology is being regarded as one of the promising technologies for today's supply chain management because of its desirable features such as autonomy, intelligence, and collaboration. This paper suggests a multi-agent system architecture with which companies can improve the efficiency of their supply chains by collaborative operation. Reflecting the practical difficulties of collaboration in complex supply chains, the architecture allows agent systems to share information with only neighboring companies for the coordinated operation. The suggested architecture is elaborated with a collaboration model based on Petri-net, conversation models for communication, and internal behavior models of each agent. A simulation experiment was performed for the evaluation of the suggested architecture. The result implies that when the estimation of market demand is higher than a certain level, the suggested architecture can be beneficial.
