The military vehicle produces electric power through an engine-integrated serial hybrid generator that is connected to the engine and does not have a separate generator installation space. However, depending on the mechanical characteristics of the connection between the generator and the engine, iron oxide for internal rusting and lubrication grew scattered. The iron oxide is adhered to the starter to deteriorate the starting performance, and there is a problem that the noise of the leg due to wear of the gear is increased. To solve this problem, the connection spline material and the surface treatment of the engine were improved and the shape was changed to a grease sealing type to prevent the generation of iron oxide inside. As the shape of the generator connector composing the shafting system was changed, the integrity of the structure was confirmed through the torsional endurance test. In addition, through the actual vehicle load test, it was verified that no corrosion occurred during the target life span without internal corrosion. It was confirmed that the anti-scattering structure of the grease effectively suppresses the generation of iron oxide, thereby reducing the noise generated from the generator. In this paper, we propose a fundamental solution to the degradation of the starter and the noise generation by preventing the back corrosion caused by the serial hybrid generator installed between the engine and the transmission.

This paper describes the development of unmanned vehicle remote control system which is configured with steering and accelerating/braking hardware to improve the sense of reality and safety of control. Generally, in these case of the remote control system, a joystick-type device is used for steering and accelerating/braking control of unmanned vehicle in most cases. Other systems have been developing using simple steering wheel, but there is no function of that feedback the feeling of driving situation to users and it mostly doesn't include the accelerating/braking control hardware. The technology of feedback means that a reproducing the feeling of current driving situation through steering and accelerating/braking hardware when driving a vehicle in person. In addition to studying feedback technologies that reduce unfamiliarity in remote control of unmanned vehicles, it is necessary to develop the remote control system with hardware that can improve sense of reality. Therefore, in this study, the reliable remote control system is developed and required system specification is defined for applying force-feedback haptic control technology developed through previous research. The system consists of a steering-wheel module similar to a normal vehicle and an accelerating/braking pedal module with actuators to operate by feedback commands. In addition, the software environment configured by CAN communication to send feedback commands to each modules. To verify the reliability of the remote control system, the force-feedback haptic control algorithms developed through previous research were applied, to assess the behavior of the algorithms in each situation.

The purpose of this study is to derive spatial area(preventive zone) where the movement of livestock vehicles occurs frequently. For this purpose, this study used 6 periods facility entrance data provided by KAHIS. This data was converted into vehicle movement data between livestock facilities and aggregated into administrative district units. The R-mode factor analysis was performed on the constructed OD data, and the region extracted by the same factor was judged as one region. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows. First, the factor analysis of 6 periods data showed 16 ~ 18 factors, and the derived factors explained 63 ~ 68% of the total variance. Second, based on the factors that were derived, Jeonam coastal area, Jeonnam area, Jeonbuk area, Chungnam coastal area, Gyeongnam area, northern Gyeongbuk area, Yeongnam costal area were found to be stable, with little change over time. On the other hand, Chungbuk area, Gangwon area, Seoul metropolitan area are relatively volatile areas. Third, 13 areas were derived by combining data from six periods.

The policy-making and technological development for the supply expansion of eco-friendly automobiles has been continuing, but the internal combustion engines still accounts for about 95%. Also, in order to meet the stricter emission regulations of internal combustion engines based on fossil fuels, the proportion of after-treatments for vehicles and (ocean going) vessels is gradually increasing. This study is a basic study for the post-Euro-VI exhaust response of CNG buses, and it is to investigate the basic characteristics according to Pd substitution transition metal effect, catalyst volume effect and space velocity. A catalysts was prepared and tested using a model gas reactor. The NGOC catalyst with 3Pd exhibited the highest catalytic activity with 22% at $300^{\circ}C$, 48% at $350^{\circ}C$ and about 75% at $500^{\circ}C$. 3Co NGOC containing 3wt% of transition metal was excellent in oxidation ability, and it was small in size of 2nm, and the degree of catalyst dispersion was improved and de-NO/CO conversion was high. The volume of the NGOC-LNT-SCR catalyst system was optimal in the combination of 1.5+0.5+0.5 with a total score of 165, considering $de-CH_4/NOx$ performance and catalyst cost. For SV $14,000h^{-1}$, the $CH_4$ reduction performance was the highest at about 20%, while the SV $56,000h^{-1}$ was the lowest at about 5%. If the space velocity is small, the flow velocity decreases and the time remaining in the catalyst volume become long, so that the harmful gas was reduced.

The increasing use of curved beams in buildings, vehicles, ships, and aircraft has results in considerable effort being directed toward developing an accurate method for analyzing the dynamic behavior of such structures. The stability behavior of elastic curved beams has been the subject of a large number of investigations. Solutions of the relevant differential equations have traditionally been obtained by the standard finite difference. These techniques require a great deal of computer time as the number of discrete nodes becomes relatively large under conditions of complex geometry and loading. One of the efficient procedures for the solution of partial differential equations is the method of differential quadrature. The differential quadrature method(DQM) has been applied to a large number of cases to overcome the difficulties of the complex algorithms of programming for the computer, as well as excessive use of storage due to conditions of complex geometry and loading. In this study, the in-plane extensional vibration for asymmetric curved beams with linearly varying cross-section is analyzed using the DQM. Fundamental frequency parameters are calculated for the member with various parameter ratios, boundary conditions, and opening angles. The results are compared with the result by other methods for cases in which they are available. According to the analysis of the solutions, the DQM, used only a limited number of grid points, gives results which agree very well with the exact ones.

As the number of registered vehicles increases, traffic congestion will worsen worse, which may act as an inhibitory factor for urban social and economic development. Through accurate traffic flow prediction, various AI techniques have been used to prevent traffic congestion. This paper uses the data from a VDS (Vehicle Detection System) as input variables. This study predicted traffic flow in five levels (free flow, somewhat delayed, delayed, somewhat congested, and congested), rather than predicting traffic flow in two levels (free flow and congested). The Catboost model, which is a machine-learning algorithm, was used in this study. This model predicts traffic flow in five levels and compares and analyzes the accuracy of the prediction with other algorithms. In addition, the preprocessed model that went through RandomizedSerachCv and One-Hot Encoding was compared with the naive one. As a result, the Catboost model without any hyper-parameter showed the highest accuracy of 93%. Overall, the Catboost model analyzes and predicts a large number of categorical traffic data better than any other machine learning and deep learning models, and the initial set parameters are optimized for Catboost.

Curved beams are increasingly used in buildings, vehicles, ships, and aircraft, which has resulted in considerable effort being directed toward developing an accurate method for analyzing the dynamic behavior of such structures. The stability behavior of elastic circular arches has been the subject of a large number of investigations. One of the efficient procedures for the solution of ordinary differential equations or partial differential equations is the differential quadrature method DQM. This method has been applied to a large number of cases to overcome the difficulties of the complex computer algorithms, as well as excessive use of storage due to conditions of non-linear geometries, loadings, or material properties. This study uses DQM to analyze the in-plane vibration of the circular arches considering the effects of midsurface extension and rotatory inertia. Fundamental frequency parameters are calculated for the member with various parameter ratios, boundary conditions, and opening angles. The solutions from DQM are compared with exact solutions or other numerical solutions for cases in which they are available and given to analyze the effects of midsurface extension and rotatory inertia on the frequency parameters of the circular arches.
This study investigates the relationship between mineral exports to China, North Korea's most important source of foreign currency acquisition, and its imports of various items from China from the first quarter of 1995 through to the third quarter of 2019. The results from a cointegration analysis suggest that there exists a long-run equilibrium relationship between mineral exports and imports of food, fuel, and some intermediate goods, such as industrial supplies, parts, and accessories. The results from a vector autoregression using first-differenced variables indicate that the short-run relationship between mineral exports and imports is different between the period before and after the third quarter of 2010. Prior to structural changes, i.e., before the third quarter of 2010, import shocks affected mineral exports. However, after the third quarter of 2010, an increase in mineral exports led to an increase in the import of vehicles, intermediate goods, and luxury goods. This paper shows both the possibilities and the limits that mineral exports can contribute to North Korea's economic growth. The results, which show that mineral exports have a long-run relationship with intermediate goods, such as industrial supplies, parts and accessories, imply that mineral exports to China could have a positive effect on the North Korean economy. However, the fact that mineral exports do not have any significant effect on the import of machinery and equipment, which helps the accumulation of capital formation, shows that mineral exports have a limited effect on inducing long-term growth in the North Korean economy.

This study is a descriptive study to invesigate people's perceptions of the living space in fully autonomous vehicle. Survey was conducted on 250 adults in their 20s to 60s who drive their own vehicle in Korea, and the final study subject were 204 participants who completed responses. Frequency analysis, independent sample t-test, and regression analysis were used to analyze the collected data. For the adequacy of using the four factors of mobility, adaptability, convertibility, and interactivity to evaluate the design of living space in fully autonomous vehicle, the scores of respondents were slightly higher, with an average of 3.76 points on a 5-point scale. Regarding the functions required for fully autonomous vehicle, 'sleep and relaxation' was the most common at 46.4% (130), followed by 'entertainment' at 19% (53), 'business and meeting' at 18.3% (51), and 'health monitoring' at 10.8% (30). It is expected that these study findings will be used as basis for the design of 'living space', a key element of fully autonomous mobility.
This study aims at listing up those manufacturing activities sensitive to regional characteristics by analyzing locational hierarchy designed on the urban rank-size rule. This locational hierarchy by manufacturing activities is expected to provide a ground for the proper supply of an industrial complex. The analysis of the locational hierarchy by manufacturing activities can work as a method of observing the characteristics of the distribution of location for each economic activity by analyzing the trend in the change of manufacturing location. Consequently, it can be used to determine the appropriate manufacturing activities for the industrial complex of a particular region. Here, the locational hierarchy is analyzed depending on the base of the basic local government such as Gun(district level) and Si(city level), and manufacturing activities are categorized by Korea Standard Industry Code. Those activities demonstrating growth pattern are Manufacture of Electronic Equipment(KSIC 26), Manufacture of Medical Precision Optical Instruments Watch(KSIC 27), Manufacture of Motor Vehicles (KSIC 30, 31), etc. With proper infrastructures, these activities can be located everywhere. Those sectors on the decline pattern in the locational hierarchy can be summarized as Manufacture of Tobacco Products(KSIC 12), Manufacture of wearing apparel Fur Articles(KSIC 14), etc. Those sectors scattered widely in the locational hierarchy are Manufacture of Food Products(KSIC 10), Manufacture of Coke Petroleum Products(KSIC 19), Manufacture of Chemical Products(KSIC 20), Manufacture of Electronic Equipment(KSIC 26). These particular manufacturing activities can be operated in those regions in a sufficient supply of unskilled workers regardless of proper infrastructures. Those activities that have a tendency to reconcentrate on larger cities are Manufacture of Textiles(KSIC 13), Manufacture of Wearing Apparel Clothing Fur Articles(KSIC 14), Manufacture of Other Transport Equiptmen(KSIC 31). In most cases, these sectors tend to favor their existing agglomerated areas and concentrate around large cities. Therefore, it is inefficient to promote these sectors in small or medium-sized cities or underdeveloped regions. The establishment of developmental strategies of an industrial complex can gain greater competitiveness by observing such characteristics of the locational hierarchy.
