This study investigated the policy instruments pertinent to the establishment of a regional innovation system in the Mekong Delta that facilitates the development of a countermeasure towards various issues of industrial and technological nature. First, we conducted the research with regard to the status and environment of the region. Second, a field visiting survey was implemented to analyze the results of international efforts and regional capacity to solve the problems attendant upon introducing technologies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Third, we derived the key policy issues and challenges from the results of the field visiting survey and experts' conference with a deep focus on technological transfer and international cooperation to enhance the capability in the science and technology field. Fourth, we conducted the opinion survey of the experts from Korea and Vietnam to converge local opinions from both countries and analyzed the results. The range of research subjects is responding to climate change, managing water resources, coordinating energy and industrial structure, making a resilient Mekong regional ecosystem, smartification of local cities, and improving the life quality of citizens, and so on. The results of this study are expected to be the beginning of fundamental research in the mid to long-term view of the Mekong Delta region innovation system of Korea and Vietnam and to evaluate the master plan.

The demand for energy is steadily rising because of rapid population growth and improvements in living standards. Consequently, extensive research is being conducted worldwide to enhance the energy supply. Transpiration power generation technology utilizes the vast availability of water, which encompasses more than 70% of the Earth's surface, offering the unique advantage of minimal temporal and spatial constraints over other forms of power generation. Various principles are involved in water-based energy harvesting. In this study, we focused on explaining the generation of energy through the streaming potential within the generator component. The generator was fabricated using sugar cubes, PDMS, carbon black, CTAB, and DI water. In addition, a straightforward and rapid manufacturing method for the generator was proposed. The PDMS generator developed in this study exhibits high performance with a voltage of 29.6 mV and a current of 8.29 µA and can generate power for over 40h. This study contributes to the future development of generators that can achieve high performance and long-term power generation.

본 연구는 ERP시스템을 채택하는 과정에서 나타나는 혁신기술 수용요인을 파악함으로써 혁신확산을 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 혁신기술 수용요인과 혁신확산에 관한 선행연구를 바탕으로 기술수용모형을 이용한 실증분석을 실시하여 효율적인 ERP시스템 채택과 혁신확산에 대한 방안을 제시한다. 혁신특성요인, 지각된 유용성과 지각된 편의성, ERP시스템 채택 그리고 혁신확산에 대한 경로분석에서 나타나는 변수들 간의 영향경로를 규명함으로써 혁신특성요인과 ERP시스템 채택 및 혁신확산간의 관계에 대한 최적경로를 탐색하려고 하였다.

People have relatively continuous and stable characteristic and it can help understand personal attitude and behavior. As individual has individual personality and society has culture, in case of organization, there is organization culture that means unique cultural characteristic. And as if we need to know culture of that society to understand individual, we need to know organization culture of that organization to understand any organization. The reason why organization culture is acknowledged as modern theory of business management is-modern company has proposed management innovation, organization activation, company transformation, and company reprogramming as management strategy to cope actively with various and quickly changing environment that modern company face-that organization culture and management innovation, that is, the concept of new business management is highlighted for means and tools to solve such problems. Seeing contemporary situation, although organization culture of small company is being improved by management innovation, cause and effect that organization culture affect technique innovation still insufficient. The meaning of this research is, through a good example of organization culture, providing reason that efficient organization culture affect technique innovation of small company(medium and small company) and making people understand why this effect occur. Through this, I want to provide strategy and policy implication of company.

This study aims to explore the developing strategies of knowledge based industry in ChunChon Area. This study suggests several strategies for promoting local development in Chunchon Area as follows ; first, building of local innovation system in chunchon area and convergence and diffusion of knowledge based industries. second, making of industrial environment suitable to developing knowledge based industries. third, the establishment of overall industrial supporting systems. fourth, expansion of industrial infra and prevention of the brain drain. fifth, transformation of industrial complex into innovation clusters. The result of this study will be useful for the chief executives officers to make more rational decision making for industrial developing strategies is related to the Knowledge based Industries. The paper also strives to provoke debate in this area with to encouraging further research on the topic.

With the radical changes and advancements of industrial economy, it is required to secure product competitiveness through technological innovations to overcome uncertain environments and generate a driving force for sustainable growth. So the Korea government introduced the superior product selection system in 1996 and has granted such incentives as priority purchasing and contracts the products of SME whose technological capabilities have passed the screening criteria. After analyzing the ambiguity of the evaluation procurement used in designation of excellent product, this study proposed seven detailed indexes for evaluation.

The purpose of this study is to identify in two aspects the relationship between standardization activities and technological development at the firm level. The first aspect is to analyze the relationship between the current Korean industrial standards system and the firm's technological development vis-a-vis quality standards. The analysis reveals that even if Korean firms recognize the importance of standards, the level of product quality of the KS mark is still lower compared to the average world level. The survey also reveals that the reasons for acquiring ISO and KS marks are mainly aimed at enforcing company image and increasing quality management mind, rather than to foster technological innovation. The second aspect explores how much Korean industrial standards (KS marks) affect the firm's technological development in the Process of standards acquisition activities. The survey results show that standardization activities have a less positive impact on technological innovation than on the maintenance of consistent production works.

Global financial crisis at 2008 bring about the great change to the company itself and its environment. In these days, the company needs change to the ambidextrous organization, which have more efficiency processes also have more attractive products and services. Ambidextrous organization purse exploiting and exploration innovation program. For the existing process's incremental and rapid improvement, the exploiting innovation programs are used such as 6 Sigma program and so on. For the new business model's searching and developments, the exploration innovation programs are used such as blue ocean program and brainstorming and so on. In this paper is presented the new procedures, for the new business model development, combining exploration and exploiting innovation programs. To obtain the creative business ideas, various exploration methodologies are adopted based on 6 Sigma's methodology, The new procedures are applied to the venture company and examined its validity.

Can we use the open innovation paradigm in Korean economy? Can Korea move from imitative national innovation system to Creative national innovation system without open innovation paradigm? We are looking for preliminary answers about these questions. In this paper, first of all, we review the theoretical factors of open innovation originated from professor Chesbrough, try to find out the limit of the theory, and propose the possibility of extending of open innovation from company to industrial sector, region and cluster, and national innovation system. We also review the user innovation models from Von Hippel and open business models. Second, we review the Korea open innovation cases according to the categories like as company, sector, cluster and regional innovation system, and national innovation system. Third, we prepose the theoretical and realistic implications, and next research agenda about Korea open innovation.

In the competitive global market, firms have to keep profit from innovation activities. A firm makes profits by offering products or services at a lower cost than its competitors or by offering differentiated products at premium prices that more than compensate for the extra cost of differentiation. The IC Package and Testing technology industries were the first high technological industry to build in Taiwan. The Package and Testing industries in Taiwan adopted competitive innovation activities to become stronger. In our study, we want to know how innovation activities influence a firm operating in the IC Package and Testing industries. Our study used a questionnaire and Likert five-point scale to survey the innovation activities, customer and feedback in innovation performance in the IC Package and Testing industry. The wafer level chip size packing technology in our study indicates the innovation activities. Because we need to compare the difference between the wafer level chip size packing technology and wire bonding technology to recognize innovation and how the innovator and customer were influenced. Our conclusions are described below: (1) When the innovator adopts innovation activities that can be maintained using experiments and knowledge, using machine and decision variables more quickly will produce success; (2) Innovators should adopt innovation activities that focus on customers that use knowledge and experimentation, training time and cost. If an innovation forces customers to spend much time and cost to learn new technology or applications, the innovation will not be adopted; (3) Innovators that create innovation performance higher than his customers must also consider the impact upon their customers. We have to remind innovator to focus on why their customers have a different level of evolution in the same innovation activities.
