Connectors transmit electric signals to different parts in compact mobile display products. As products that apply this have become lightweight and smaller in size, there are growing demands for smaller and more integrated connectors, which are internal parts of the products. As a measure to address these demands, there is the planar array connector that minimizes the part by arranging the single-direction BTB connectors to two directions. As connectors become smaller in size and more highly integrated, maintaining intensity to prevent defects during impact and maintaining adhesive force to smoothly transmit electric signals are growing in importance. Thus, in order to identify the impact of concave shaping on improving adhesive power in connector terminal pins as a method to increase the connecting power of planar array connector terminal pins, this study predicted and examined the concave shaping method, number of concave shapes, and the adhesive power according to the size of the concave shape through CAE. For concave shaping, the model that added concave shaping towards the lower part of the connector terminal pin and added spokes for the area pressed down by the concave shaping was 0.74 N, showing increased adhesive force compared to existing models. Furthermore, when applying two concave shaping, rather than just one, there was a tendency for adhesive force to increase. In the case of adhesive power trends according to the size of the concave shaping, adhesive power increased and the width of the concave shape decreased, and the biggest adhesive force trends were shown when the concave shaping depth was 0.01mm.
Connectors are very important components that transmit electric signals to different parts. It must maintain intensity of the connector to prevent defects from impact and maintain contact to transmit electric signals. Most of the external parts of the connector, which act as the main framework, are formed by injection molding. However, bend deformation occurs for injection molded products due to the residual stress left inside the product after product molding. When the bend deformation is large, it does not come into complete contact when being assembled with other parts, which leads to connector contact intensity not being properly maintained. In result, the main role of the connector, which is to transmit electric signals, cannot be performed. In order to address this problem, this study conducted bend deformation cause analysis through bend deformation analysis to predict and prevent bend deformation of housings and wafers, which are injection molded products of pressure welded connectors that are normally applied in compact mobile and display products. Bend deformation analysis was carried out by checking the charging time, pressure distribution and temperature distribution through wire to board connector wafer and housing injection molding analysis. Based on the results of the bend deformation analysis results, the cause of the bend deformation was analyzed through deformation resulting from disproportional cooling, deformation resulting from disproportional contraction, and deformation resulting from ingredient orientation. In result, it was judged that the effects for bend deformation were biggest due to disproportional contraction for both the pressure welded connector wafer and housing.
In this study, micro cellular injection molding of automobile head lamp housing with uneven thickness structure was performed to obtain improvement on deformation and light-weight of the part. The thickness of the presented model was uniformly modified to control the deformation of the molded part. In order to maximize the lightweight ratio, the model having an average thickness of 2.0 mm were thinly molded to an average thickness of 1.6 mm. GFM(Gas Free Molding) and CBM(Core Back Molding) technology were applied to improve the problems of the conventional foam molding method. Equal Heat & Cool system was also applied by 3D cooling core and individual flow control system. Warpage of the molded parts with even cooling was minimized. To improve the mechanical properties of foamed products, complex resin containing nano-filler was used and variation of mechanical properties was evaluated. It was shown that the weight reduction ratio of products with light-weighted injection molding was 8.9 % and the deformation of the products was improved from the maximum of 3.6 mm to 2.0 mm by applying Equal Heat & Cool mold cooling system. Also the mechanical strength reduction of foamed product was less than 12% at maximum.

Machines and facilities are physically or chemically degenerated by continuous usage. The representative type of the degeneration is the wearing of tools, which results in the process mean shift. According to the increasing wear level, non-conforming products cost and quality loss cost are increasing simultaneously. Therefore, a preventive maintenance is necessary at some point. The problem of determining the maintenance period (or wear limit) which minimizes the total cost is called the 'process mean shift problem'. The total cost includes three items: maintenance cost (or adjustment cost), non-conforming cost due to the non-conforming products, and quality loss cost due to the difference between the process target value and the product characteristic value among the conforming products. In this study, we set the production volume as a decreasing function rather than a constant. Also we treat the process variance as a function to the increasing wear rather than a constant. To the quality loss function, we adopted the Cpm+, which is the left and right asymmetric process capability index based on the process target value. These can more reflect the production site. In this study, we presented a more extensive maintenance model compared to previous studies, by integrating the items mentioned above. The objective equation of this model is the total cost per unit wear. The determining variables are the wear limit and the initial process setting position that minimize the objective equation.
The essential oil extracted from Citrus × natsudaidai (Yu. Tanaka) Hayata peels is known to have various biological properties. However, the chemical composition of essential oil is influenced by the ripening stages of fruits, which then affects related biological activities. This study investigates the antioxidant activities of essential oils extracted from Citrus × natsudaidai peels at different ripening stages (immature, mature, and overripe). The essential oils were extracted using the hydro-distillation method. As a result of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis, d-limonene was dominant and was increased as matured. However, 𝛄-terpinene was decreased. The antioxidant properties and their total phenolic content (TPC) were influenced by the ripening stages. The TPC was highest in the immature stage of essential oil (1,011.25 ± 57.15 mg GAE/100 g). 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity was excellent in the immature stage (EC50 = 15.91 ± 0.38 mg/mL). 2,2'-Azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging activity was superior in overripe stage (EC50 = 20.43 ± 0.37 mg/mL). The antioxidant activity measured using ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assay showed higher values for the essential oils in immaturity (1,342.37 ± 71.07 mg Fe2+/100 g). Comprehensively, the essential oil in the immature stage showed the best antioxidant activity. Finally, knowing the chemical composition and antioxidant activity at different ripening stages will provide data for selecting the right fruit.
This paper proposes how to develop the EC(Electronic Commerce) for industrial-related items, which has not been tried yet in EC areas. Usually industrial design derives an idea and concept for a new product from the needs of end-users and manufacturers. Then this product is developed through the design process such as idea-sketch, rendering, and design modeling mock-up. The purpose of this paper is to vitalize the trade for some items which are necessary for the design process and are intermediate products. That is, the idea and concept from the needs and seeds can be dealt with as one item. Furthermore, the idea-sketch and rendering materializing from the idea can be an item also. By doing so, excellent design items which could be thrown away in the middle of the process can be made into valuable commodities. Then we can specify the role of Designer, Manufacturer, and End-User as a buyer or a seller.

Remanufacturing is an industrial manufacturing process. The merits of remanufacturing are to reuse old products to perform like a new product and to save energy, natural resources, landfill space and to reduce air pollution by less re-smelting. This paper proposes a systemic approach for activating the domestic remanufacturing industry. The approach is based on inside and outside regulations to apply remanufacturing companies. And, we analyzed the state and problems of remanufacturing industry for automobile parts. Also 5 essential tactics and 20 detail strategies are suggested. On the basis of the approach, the domestic remanufacturing industry will carry out the cooperation for their competitions.
In this paper, we present a BLDC Motor control for needle positioning and velocity control in the industrial sewing machine. In the industrial sewing machine, the fast acceleration control is needed, especially for a person who has a skill in operation of sewing machine for more products. And it is also needed to have a less noise and vibration. But the system which is made in a low price has no feedback system for a current control. Therefore we propose the method of velocity pattern that has an acceleration of velocity and Anti-windup algorithm. By the experiment, we confirmed that these manner have a good performance for low noise, low vibration and fast acceleration in the industrial sewing machine.
After the Industrialism, long-lasting issues about Post-Industrialism have closely been associated with our daily lives. The keyword of Post-Industrialism could be regarded as Immateriality, which is represented by service, Information and knowledge. In the Post-Industrial society, the major role of Post-Industrial design trend is a mediator to deliver the immateriality to users. Additionally, the maturity of technologies and product life cycle have leaded users to the design trend that is free from the technologies and functions of products. In this context, the most powerful trend of the Post-Industrial design could be "metaphor design" and "poetic dimension". The similarity of these two styles is situated in the romanticism -reflection of symbol and metaphor. However, the appearance of Apple's iMac in 1998, poetic dimension, which uses transparent plastic and colourful, pleasurable 'blobjects' has dominated the post-industrial design trend.
Smart Factories could be regarded as a result of the integration of various key technologies of the fourth industrial revolutions. In smart factory, the IoT (Internet of things) is applied to capture the data generated by the production facility, store and analyze data generated in real time using Big Data technology. In addition, 3D printers are used to print expensive and complex parts, industrial robots supply materials and parts to the production site, store finished products in warehouses. In this paper, we introduced the definition of smart factory and change of job market. Also, we summarize several national policies to support enhancing transformation process of smart factory.
