Study on the Parameter Identification for Induction Motors (유도 전동기 파라미터 추정에 관한 연구)

  • The accurate identification of the motor parameters in crucially important to achieve high dynamic performance of induction motors. In this paper parameter auto-tuning algorithms for stator(rotor) resistance stator(rotor) leakage inductance mutual inductance and rotor inertia. Stator(rotor) resistance and stator(rotor) leakage inductance are identified based on the stationary coordinate and mutual inductance and rotor resistor on the scalar speed control and the transient motor terminal voltage. To demonstrate the practical significance of our results we present some experimented results.

  • In a two-dimensional wireless power transfer system, the mutual inductance angle is the most important parameter for determining the power transmission efficiency. This paper presents a technique to estimate the mutual inductance angle from the voltage and current information of the transmitting (Tx) coils. The equation to estimate the mutual inductance angle is derived, and the validity of the proposed method is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • FEA was used to analyze inductance and torque of IPMSM. Torque and inductance are analyzed on the dq-axis. It was shown that Ld and Lq have harmonic components, and magnitude as well as phase of the harmonics varies according to the current values. This paper shows the relationship between these inductance harmonics and the 6th harmonic component of torque.

  • The purpose of this paper is to describe the mutual inductance between two non-coaxial circular coils in coil gun. As being in many electromagnetic applications, one of them is fixed and the other one is moving and, being not supported, its axis may not coincide with the axis of the fixed coil. This paper presents a method for the calculation of the mutual inductance in case of non-coaxial coupled coils, the characteristics of this inductance and experimental results. For the computation, the complete elliptic integrals formula and mesh matrix technique were introduced. This method enables accurate results from relatively simple procedure and calculation program.

  • This paper presents design consideration for LLC resonant converter utilizing the leakage inductance and magnetizing inductance of transformer as resonant components. The leakage inductance in the transformer secondary side is also considered in the gain equation. The design procedure is verified through experimental results.

  • This paper deals with a reduction of cogging torque and estimate of inductance for IPMSM. The flux barriers(Barrier) and the auxiliary slot(Notch) for the reduction of cogging torque was installed for increase of driving characteristic in IPMSM. The cogging torque, driving torque and inductance are analyzed by using FEM(Finite Element Method) and the results of inductance calculation are compared to experimentation ones.

  • This paper presents Dynamic-Simulation to estimate the inductance of a permanent magnet type transverse flux rotating motor by applying the real-time parameter estimation theory. As transverse flux rotating motor has the complex structure, it can be happen to some errors between real value and designed one with respect to the inductance. To reduce this kinds of errors, the real-time parameter estimation theory was applied to dynamic-simulation. And then, By comparing the estimated inductance and designed one, it is realized that the real-time parameter estimation theory can be applied in the permanent magnet type transverse flux rotating motor.

  • A simulated inductance, with a phase parameter control circuit containing only two resistors and one operational amplifier, is realized as a two terminal network. Analytical results of the proposed circuit avow that we can realize a simulated inductance for constant inductance value, and experimental results confirm the theoretical predictions. Error of maximum 4%, between theoretical and experimental results of equivalent inductance, has been observed over a wide range of frequencies up to about 100 KHz.

  • A SRM develops its torque according to the inductance variation as the rotor position and the phase current. The variation of the inductance and the phase current plays an important role in output characteristics. Predicting and calculating the inductance is invaluable in the study of SRM. This paper suggests the estimation method of inductance as variation of phase current and rotor position considering magnetic saturation of motor core. This method is also applied to full-pitched winding SRM.
