To syudy the change of prtential in the mortar-embedded precorroded rebar, a half cell method was adapted. The rebar was corroded by the salt spray and then the rebar embedded in the mortar. A saturated copper sulfate feference electrode was used. The corrosion potential of the rebar in the mortar specimen cured in air was increased, whereas that of the rebar cured in water was decreased with aging. The corrosion potential of the rebar in the mortar was decreased with corroded time by the salt spray. As the mortar thickness covered the rebar was increased, the corrosion potential of the rebar in the mortar was increased.
The functions of a mobile robot such as obstacle knowledge and collision avoidance for in-door cleaning are necessary features, as has been much studied in the field of industrial automatic guided vehicle or general mobile robot. A mobile robot, in order to avoid collision with obstacles, has to gather data with environment knowledge sensors and recognize environment and the shape of obstacles from the data. In the study, a wall-following algorithm was suggested as a autonomous moving algorithm in which a mobile robot can recognize obstacles in indoor like environment and do cleaning work in effect. The system suggested in the study is for cleaning of nuclear material dusts generated in the process of nuclear fuel manufacturing and decontamination of devices in disorder which is performed in M6 radioactive ray shield hot-cell in IMEF(Irradiated Material Examination Facility) in the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute.

Future wireless communication systems are expected to provide a broad range of multimedia services in which the asymmetry of traffic load between uplink and downlink is a significant feature. The rode division multiple access system with tune division duplex mode (CDMA/TDD) is a good solution to cope with the traffic asymmetry problem. However. the TDD system is subject to inter-cell interference compared to frequency division duplex (FDD) system. Since both uplink and downlink share the same frequency in TDD. uplink and downlink may interfere each other especially when neighboring cells require different rates of asymmetry. Thus, time slot allocation for tells is an important issue in TDD. In this paper. we propose a genetic algorithm based time slot allocation scheme which maximizes the residual system capacity. The proposed scheme allows that each cell employ different level of uplink/downlink asymmetry and satisfies the interference requirement.
In this study, we evaluated the energy production from plant-microbial fuel cells using representative indoor plants, such as Scindapsus aureus and Clatha minor. The maximum power density of microbial fuel cell (MFC) using S. aureus ($3.36mW/m^2$) was about 2 times higher than that of the MFC using C. minor ($1.43mW/m^2$). It was confirmed that energy recovery is possible using plant-MFCs without fuel. However, further research is needed to improve the performance of plant-MFCs. Nevertheless, plant-MFCs have proved their potential as a novel energy source to overcome the limitations of the conventional renewable energy sources such as wind power and solar cells, and could be employed to a power source for the sensor in charge of the fourth industrial revolution.

Recently, there are growing interests in femto-cell for providing indoor users with various broadband multimedia services more efficiently. The technical issues regarding femto-cell such as interference management, self-organization, and resource allocation are now being intensively studied and investigated by researchers worldwide. In this paper, two novel schemes of neighboring cell list(NCL) management are proposed for the IEEE 802.16e system where a macro-cell and huge number of femto-cells coexist. The proposed schemes, named MS location-based neighboring cell list management and BS type-based neighboring cell list management, enable a mobile station(MS) to perform fast scanning and efficient handover by means of preselecting the candidate target femto-cells with high possibility for handover. The simulation result shows that the proposed schemes improve the MS's handover-related performance in terms of scanning power and scanning time compared with the conventional managements scheme of IEEE 802.16e system.

Recently much attention has been devoted to femtocell's potential to improve indoor cellular coverage and high speed wireless communications. Femtocell based commercial services have been already launched in some countries and standardization activities are actively on-going, there has been concern however over potential issues of interference between femtocells and the micro/macro networks. With universal frequency reuse, the ensuing cross-tier interference causes unacceptable data rate and outage probability, so an analysis of effect of interference in femtocell embedded networks would be necessary for a stable system design. This paper investigates the effect of interference on system performances of femtocell embedded hierarchical cell structure (HCS) networks considering the characteristics of propagation environments. Various channel parameters are specially considered for indoor environments where most of femtocells are deployed to investigate the effect of interference of femtocell embedded RCS networks. System capacity and coverage are provided with variant distance between macrocell and femtocell, location of the user in femtocell coverage, and characteristic of building structures.

Thermal storage plays an important role in building energy saving, which is greatly assisted by the incorporation of latent heat storage in building materials. A phase change material is a substance with a high heat of fusion which, melting and solidifying at a certain temperature, can be storing and releasing large amount of energy. Heat is stored or released when the material changes from solid to liquid. Integration of building materials incorporating PCMs into the building envelope can result in increased efficiency of the built environment. The aim of this research is to identify thermal performance of PCMs impregnated building materials which is applied to interior of building such as gypsum and red clay. In order to analyze thermal performance of phase change materials, test-cell experiments and simulation analysis were carried out. The results show that micro-encapsulated PCM has an effect to maintain a constant indoor temperature using latent heat through the test-cell experiments. PCM wallboard makes it possible to reduce the fluctuation of room temperature and heating and cooling load by using EnergyPlus simulation program. Phase change material can store solar energy directly in buildings. Increasing the heat capacity of a building is capable of improving human comfort by decreasing the frequency of indoor air temperature swings so that the interior air temperature is closer to the desired temperature for a long period of time.

This paper presents a new mobile robot localization method for indoor robot navigation. The method uses color-coded landmarks on the ceiling and a camera is installed on the robot facing the ceiling. The proposed "cell-coded map", with the use of only nine different kinds of color-coded landmarks distributed in a particular way, helps reduce the complexity of the landmark structure. This technique is applicable for navigation in an unlimited size of indoor space. The structure of the landmarks and the recognition method are introduced. And 2 rigid rules are also used to ensure the correctness of the recognition. Experimental results prove that the method is useful.

In recent years, the crisis of energy is growing seriously and also the contamination of ecology has been reverberated as international problem. The social concerns on energy crisis have been growing for the last several years and also the interests in new and renewable energy have been increased. Therefore, in order to solving these problems, this study has dealt with the solar air collector with perforated endothermic panel to increase the indoor temperature. And also, the PV panel for running indoor air circulating fan has used to increase the convective heat transfer. This study is consisted with experiment and numerical parts. From this study, the experimently result is indicated that the inlet air temperature is increased up to 45[$^{\circ}C$]. This temperature is enough to heat the indoor air during winter season. And the numerical calculation results revealed that the mixing effect of convection is increased with increasing in fan circulating power.

To offer indoor location-aware services, the needs for efficient and accurate indoor localization system has been increased. In order to meet these requirement, we presented the BLIDx(Bidirectional Location ID exchange) protocol that is efficient localization system based on sensor network. The BLIDx protocol can cope with numerous mobile nodes simultaneously but the precision of the localization is too coarse because that uses cell based localization method. In this paper, in order to compensate for these disadvantage, we propose the fingerprint overlapping method by modifying a fingerprinting methods in WLAN, and localization system using proposed method was designed and implemented. Our experiments show that the proposed method is more accurate and robust to noise than fingerprinting method in WLAN. In this way, it was improved that low location precision of BLIDx protocol.
