Factors Influencing the Intention to Continue Using the Metaverse: Focusing on the Influence of Social Norms

  • This study aims to examine factors influencing the intention to continue using the metaverse, focusing on the impact of social norms. Specifically, direct and indirect effects of technical characteristics (perceive quality, interactivity, perceived playfulness), user characteristics (self-efficacy, personal innovativeness), and social influence factors (descriptive norm, injunctive norm, subjective norm) on continuous use intention were examined. The role of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness as a mediator was also examined. An online survey was conducted with 165 college students attending universities in two large cities in South Korea who had used the metaverse. As a result, perceived playfulness, descriptive norm, and perceived usefulness directly influenced continuous use intention. Perceived playfulness, interactivity, and subjective norm influenced continuous use intention indirectly through perceived usefulness. This study theoretically extends the Technology Acceptance Model by specifying social influence in metaverse contexts. Practical implications are provided in terms of marketing strategy for the metaverse industry to continue to grow and develop.

인플루언서의 '뒷광고' 논란 전,후에 대한 댓글 비교 분석:LDA와 Word2vec을 중심으로 (A Comparative Analysis of Comments Before and After the Controversy Over the 'Back Advertisng' of Influencers : Focused on LDA and Word2vec)

  • 최근 유명 유튜버들이 간접광고(PPL)등 협찬, 광고를 받은 영상을 제작, 방영하면서 유료광고라고 밝히지 않은 일명 '뒷광고' 논란이 이어지며 유명 유튜버뿐만 아니라 연예인들까지 논란 속에 속해 있어 진실성에 대한 대중들의 혼란을 야기시키고 있다. 본 연구는 유튜버들의 '뒷광고' 논란의 전과 후의 대중들의 반응을 댓글분석을 통해 알아보고자 한다. 구체적으로 R 프로그램을 활용한 텍스트 분석 중 워드 클라우드, LDA, 딥러닝 기법 word2vec 분석과 같은 다양한 방식으로 분석하고자 한다. 분석 대상은 '뒷광고' 유튜버 논란에 속해 있고 '사과 영상'을 업로드한 3명의 유튜버 채널을 분석해 보기로 했다. 가장 먼저 논란되었던 슈스스 TV의 한혜연 스타일리스트와 콘텐츠 성향이 비슷하면서 100만 명이 넘는 구독자 수를 보유한 먹방 유튜버 문복희와 다양한 콘텐츠를 선보인 유튜버 양팡의 가장 최신 영상 5개(2020년 08월 09일 기준)와 처음에 올린 영상 5개를 기준으로 댓글을 분석하였다. 연구결과 논란 전에는 대부분 긍정적인 반응을 보인 댓글들이 대부분이었으나, 논란 후에는 부정적인 반응이 대부분을 차지하였고, 예전의 논란까지 같이 나타나고 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 R프로그램을 이용한 다양한 분석을 통해 '뒷광고' 논란 이후에 인플루언서에 대한 대중들의 변화 정도를 댓글을 통해 알아봄과 동시에 앞으로는 인플루언서들의 뒷광고가 발생하지 않도록 다양한 방안을 제시하는데 그 의의가 있다.

검색 광고 마케팅 서비스 유형 분석과 서비스 품질 개선방안 (Analytical Study on Classification and Service Quality Improvement for Keyword & Blog Advertising Marketing Services)

  • 본 연구는 검색포탈의 키워드 검색과 광고주 블로그를 융합적으로 활용하여 바이럴 마케팅을 실행하는 검색광고 마케팅 서비스를 연구의 대상으로 한다. 키워드 검색 결과의 상단에 블로그를 통해 간접광고를 노출하여 소비자를 유인하는 서비스를 운영 중인 회사에 대한 사례조사를 통해서 제공되고 있는 검색광고 마케팅 서비스의 거래 당사자들 간의 거래관계를 중심으로 하는 서비스 유형을 분석하고, 서비스의 품질인식정도와 사용자 그룹간의 인식의 차이를 조사 및 분석하여 운영서비스의 개선방안을 제시함을 목적으로 한다. 수행 방법으로는 검색광고 솔루션을 사용하는 광고 마케팅 커뮤니티의 게시물 분석을 수행하여 서비스 솔루션의 4가지의 유형과 거래관계를 표현하는 4가지 서비스 구조도 유형을 분석하였다. 또한 면접법을 사용한 사전 연구로 설계된 SERVQUAL 기반의 설문조사를 사용하여 광고주와 광고대행사 그룹간 서비스에 대한 품질인식 정도와 차이를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 공론화의 한계를 갖고 있는 검색광고 마케팅 서비스에 대한 사례기업의 개선방안을 제시하였다.

Effect of Brand Popularity in a Foreign Market on Consumer Behavior in a Franchise Cosmetic Retailer's Online Shop

  • Purpose: As consumers have difficulty in brand choice due to excessive information, using brand popularity as an advertising cue (e.g., Sales No. 1, Hit Product) has been getting more attention as an effective curation strategy for decreasing consumers' cognitive efforts. Accordingly, recent studies empirically demonstrate that consumers tend to prefer and choose a brand with a popularity cue and offer a useful information regarding how to use a popularity cue in marketing communication. However, extant research has mainly focused on investigating the impact of "brand popularity in a domestic market" on consumer behaviors. Thus, little is known about the effect of "brand popularity in a foreign market" on local consumers' decision-making process. Given that domestic consumers tend to purchase imported products from overseas countries, it can be meaningful information for global companies. Therefore, this research derives and tests the five hypotheses to examine how local consumers respond to brand popularity in a foreign market as an advertising cue. Specifically, it tests the three hypotheses regarding the direct and indirect effects of brand popularity in a foreign market on risk perception and purchase intention. Then, it tests two additional hypotheses about moderating effects of psychic distance on the relationship between brand popularity and risk perception as well as on the relationship between brand popularity and purchase intention. Seventy participants are exposed to an advertisement for an Indian cosmetic brand using a popularity cue in Indian market and answer the questions about brand evaluation. For data analysis, regression analysis is employed. The findings of this research show that perceived brand popularity lowers local consumers' perceived risk with a foreign brand. However, perceived brand popularity does not have a direct impact on purchase intention while it has an indirect effect through perceived risk. Meanwhile, psychic distance moderates the effect of perceived brand popularity on perceived risk level, but it has no impact on the relationship between brand popularity and purchase intention. This research is one of the first studies that demonstrate the positive impact of brand popularity in a foreign market on a local consumer's purchase decision, and it shows the effect can be moderated by psychic distance.

광고 태도와 VMD 태도가 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향 - 스포츠웨어를 중심으로 - (The Effect of the Attitude toward the Advertising and the Attitude toward the Visual Merchandising on the Attitude toward the Brand - Focused on Sports Wear -)

  • This study examined the correlation between the attitude toward the advertising($A_a$) and the attitude toward the VMD(Visual Merchandising)($A_{VMD}$), and the effect of $A_a$ and $A_{VMD}$ on the attitude toward the brand($A_b$) in sports wear market. 287 questionnaires were distributed to 20's male and female, and 284 respondents were used for the analysis. To analyze the data, we used the structural equation model, LISREL 8.0. The key points of the result were as follows: 1) $A_a\;and\;A_{VMD}$ influenced each other, and the effect of $A_{VMD}\;on\;A_a$ was bigger than the effect of $A_a\;on\;A_{VMD}$. 2) Both $A_a\;and\;A_{VMD}$ affected $A_b$ directly, and the effect of $A_{VMD}\;on\;A_b$ was bigger than the effect of $A_a\;on\;A_b$. 3) $A_b$ create by $A_a$ could be changed by the mediating effect of $A_{VMD}$, but $A_b$ created by $A_{VMD}$ could not be changed by the mediating effect of $A_a$. 4) The indirect effect of $A_a\;on\;A_b$ through $A_{VMD}$ was bigger than the direct effect of $A_a\;on\;A_b$. 5) $A_b$ affected the purchase intention directly in a positive way.

소비자 정보탐색 요소에 따른 소비자 만족 (Consumer Satisfaction According to Consumer's Information search Elements)

  • This study investigates how the consumers utilize the elements of information search and how consumers are satisfied with them. For this study, drives who have bought their own cars in two years were chosen for subjects of investigation. And samples were interviewed with an organized questionaire from July 8 to July 27, 1996. 300 samples were used for the final analysis. The major results from this study are as follows. 1) In general information search, consumers get a great deal of information from a talk their friends, neighbors, or colleagues, and they obtain information from an experienced person or a professional. In using sources of information search, they made the best use of their experiences, which is the sources of internal information, and for the second, they used advertising and the explanation of a salesman. In using the contents of information search, they made the best use of information about the merits and demerits in each attribute. In using the method of information search, the mixed search 1 method was used the most, and the attribute search method was used. 2) The casual relationship between the general satisfaction for the products and the relative variable was investigated. An age, the time pressure, the information of the products had a direct and indirect influence on the general for the products. The perceived risk, the number of inquiring activity, a shop and the buying method had a direct influence on the general for the products. An indirect influence was showed in the general satisfaction for the products through the medium of inquiring activity, a shop, and buying method.

Cloth Product Recognition based on Siamese Network with Body Region Extraction method

  • Nowadays, people consume a lot of content such as web dramas or K-pop videos through mobile devices such as smartphones, and the market for indirect advertisements through these web dramas or K-pop videos is also increasing every year. In order to lead to the immediate purchase of indirect products in web dramas, a system that allows consumers to purchase immediately at the time the products appear in the drama is needed. In this paper, we propose a system to allow viewers to purchase products worn by celebrities immediately when viewers see and click on them. When a user clicks on a video, it recognizes the product worn by the celebrity, and displays information on the screen on the most similar product corresponding to the recognized product, allowing them to go to the seller's site where they can purchase it. In order for such a system to operate stably, a pose estimation and siamese network-based system is proposed. The proposed system will primarily be released as a streaming service in the form of an app or web page that connects the products in web dramas or other K-pop video contents screened on the mobile with e-commerce. Furthermore, in the future, the technology is expected to be used globally in various industries such as smart mobility and display kiosks.

법랑질에 의한 수종의 간접복합레진의 마모에 관한 연구 (AN IN-VITRO WEAR STUDY OF INDIRECT COMPOSITE RESINS AGAINST HUMAN ENAMEL)

  • Statement of problem: Second-generation indirect composite resins have been improved flexural strength, compressive strength, hydrolytic degradation resistance, wear resistance compared to first-generation indirect composite resins, but there are still some problems as hydrolysis and low wear resistance. Some manufacturers claim that wear resistance of their materials has been improved, but little independent study has been published on wear properties of these materials and the properties specified in the advertising materials are largely derived from in-house or contracted testing. Purpose: This study was to evaluate the wear of indirect composite resins (SR Adore, Sinfony, Tescera ATL) and gold alloy against the human enamel. Material and method: Extracted human incisors and premolars were sectioned to $2{\times}2{\times}2mm$ cube and embedded in the clear resin and formed conical shaped antagonist to fit the jig of pin-on-disk tribometer. Total 20 antagonists were stored in distilled water. Five disk samples, 24mm in diameter and 1.5mm thick, were made for each of three groups of indirect composite resins and gold alloy group, and polished to #2,000 SiC paper on auto-polishing machine. Disk specimens were tested for wear against enamel antagonists. Wear test were conducted in distilled water using a pin-on-disk tribometer under condition (sliding speed 200rpm contact load 24N, sliding distance 160m). The wear of the enamel was determined by weighing the enamel antagonist before and after test, and the weight was converted to volumes by average density. The wear tracks were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and surface profilometer to elucidate the wear mechanisms. Statistical analysis of the enamel wear volume, wear track depth and wear tract width of disk specimens were accomplished with one-way ANOVA and the means were compared for significant differences with Scheffe's test. Results: 1. The enamel wear was most in gold alloy, but there were no statistically significant differences among all the groups (P>.05). 2. In indirect composite resin groups, the group to make the most shallow depth of wear tract was Sinfony, followed by Tescera ATL, SR Adoro (P<.05). Gold alloy was shallower than Sinfony, but there was no statistically significant difference between Sinfony and gold alloy (P>.05). 3. The width of wear tract of SR Adore was larger than the other groups (P<.05), and there were no statistically significant differences among the other groups (P>.05). 4. SEM analysis revealed that Sinfony and gold alloy showed less wear scars after test, Tescera ATL showed more wear scars and SR Adore showed the most. Conclusion: Within the limits of this study, Sinfony and gold alloy showed the least wear rates and showed similar wear patterns.

Effects of Storytelling in Advertising on Consumers' Empathy

  • Differentiated positioning becomes increasingly difficult when brand salience weakens. Also, the daily increase in new media use and information load has led to a social climate that regards advertising stimuli as spamming. For these reasons, the focus of advertisement-related communication is shifting from persuading consumers through the direct delivery of information to an emphasis on appealing to their emotions using matching stimuli to enhance persuasion effects. Recently, both academia and industry have increasingly shown an interest in storytelling methods that can generate positive emotional responses and attitude changes by arousing consumers' narrative processing. The purpose of storytelling is to elicit consumers' emotional experience to meet the objectives of advertisement producers. Therefore, the most important requirement for storytelling in advertising is that it evokes consumers' sympathy for the main character in the advertisement. This does not involve advertisements directly persuading consumers, but rather, consumers themselves finding an answer through the advertisement's story. Thus, consumers have an indirect experience regarding the product features and usage through empathy with the advertisement's main character. In this study, we took the results of a precedent study as the starting point, according to which consumers' emotional response can be altered depending on the storytelling methods adopted for storytelling ads. Previous studies have reported that drama-type and vignette-type storytelling methods have a considerably different impact on the emotional responses of advertising audiences, due to their different structural characteristics. Thus, this study aims to verify that emotional response aroused by different types of advertisement storytelling (drama ads vs. vignette ads) can be controlled by the socio-psychological gender difference of advertising audiences and that the interaction effects between the socio-psychological gender differences of the audience and the gender stereotype of emotions to which advertisements appeal can exert an influence on emotional responses to types of storytelling in advertising. To achieve this, an experiment was conducted employing a between-group design consisting of 2 (storytelling type: drama ads vs. vignette ads) × 2 (socio-psychological gender of the audience: masculinity vs. femininity) × 2 (advertising appeal emotion type: male stereotype emotion vs. female stereotype emotion). The experiment revealed that the femininity group displayed a strong and consistent empathy for drama ads regardless of whether the ads appealed to masculine or feminine emotions, whereas the masculinity group displayed a stronger empathy for drama ads appealing to the emotional types matching its own gender as well as for vignette ads. The theoretical contribution of this study is significant in that it sheds light on the controllability of the audiences' emotional responses to advertisement storytelling depending on their socio-psychological gender and gender stereotype of emotions appealed to through advertising. Specifically, its considerable practical contribution consists in easing unnecessary creative constraints by comprehensively analyzing essential advertising strategic factors such as the target consumers' gender and the objective of the advertisement, in contrast to the oversimplified view of previous studies that considered emotional responses to storytelling ads were determined by the different types of production techniques used. This study revealed that emotional response to advertisement storytelling varies depending on the target gender of and emotion type appealed to by the advertisement. This suggests that an understanding of the targeted gender is necessary prior to producing an advertisement and that in deciding on an advertisement storytelling type, strategic attention should be directed to the advertisement's appeal concept or emotion type. Thus, it is safe to use drama-type storytelling that expresses masculine emotions (ex. fun, happy, encouraged) when the advertisement target, like Bacchus, includes both men and women. For brands and advertisements targeting only women (ex. female clothes), it is more effective to use a drama-type storytelling method that expresses feminine emotions (lovely, romantic, sad). The drama method can be still more effective than the vignette when women are the main target and a masculine concept-based creative is to be produced. However, when male consumers are targeted and the brand concept or advertisement concept is focused on feminine emotions (ex. romantic), vignette ads can more effectively induce empathy than drama ads.

광고 모델의 위치와 시선 방향이소비자의 시각적 주의, 태도 및재인에 미치는 효과: 안구운동추적기법을 중심으로 (Influence of Endorser's Gaze Direction on Consumer's Visual Attention, Attitude and Recognition: Focused on the Eye Movement)

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 광고효과 및 소비자 반응 측정 연구에 활발히 사용되고 있는 안구운동추적기법(Eye-movement tracking)을 이용하여, 광고 모델의 위치 및 시선 방향(정면/측면_그림정보/측면_언어정보)이 광고 태도 및 제품 구매 욕구, 브랜드 재인에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 지면 광고들 중 모델의 비중이 비교적 높으며, 간접적 설득 경로의 중요성이 비교적 크게 평가되는 화장품 지면 광고를 이용하여 20대 성인 남녀 36명에게 실험을 진행한 결과, 기존의 연구들에서 확인한 바와 같이 모델의 시선이 향하고 있는 광고 내 특정 요소(제품사진, 브랜드 등)에 대한 응시 시간(Fixation duration)이 길어지고 해당 영역에의 진입 시간(Entry time)이 빨라진다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 모델의 시선에 의한 주의 유도 효과가 광고태도 및 제품 구매 욕구에 바로 반영되지는 않았다. 모델이 좌측에 있는 경우에는 시선의 방향이정면일 때 제품 구매 욕구가 가장 높았으며, 모델이 우측에 있을 때는 측면_그림정보(제품사진) 에 시선이 향할 때 광고 태도가 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 그리고 안구운동 추적실험 이후 추가적으로 진행한 브랜드 재인 실험 결과에서는 모델의 시선이 제품 사진을 향하고 있을 때 브랜드재인도가 높게 측정되었으며, 모델이 왼쪽에 있을 때 유효하였다. 이상의 결과는 모델의 시선이고객의 주의를 특정한 영역으로 이끄는 주의 유도자(attentional guidance)로서의 역할을 수행하지만, 모델의 위치 및 시선이 머무는 대상에 따라서 그 효과의 방향성과 크기는 달라질 수 있다는 것을 시사한다. 따라서 궁극적으로 고객의 광고 태도 및 제품 구매 욕구를 향상시키기 위해서는 모델의 시선 방향 이외에도 모델의 위치 및 추가 구성 요인들에 대한 복합적인 고려가 필요할 것이다.
