라인 트레이스 차량을 위한 퍼지 제어기의 설계 (Design of a Fuzzy Controller for a Line Trace Vehicle)

  • 이 논문에서는 라인 트레이스 차량의 주행 제어를 위한 퍼지 제어기를 설계하였다. 라인을 감지하는 센서들의 감지 상태에 따라 센서값을 산출하고 이 센서값은 조향각 제어 퍼지 추론 규칙의 입력으로 사용되어 조향각을 제어값으로 산출한다. 또한 산출된 조향각은 다시 모터속력 제어 추론 퍼지 규칙의 입력으로 사용되어 주행 속도 결정을 위한 모터속력을 제어값으로 산출하게 된다. 제안한 퍼지 제어 기법을 이용하여 조향각만을 제어한 경우와 조향각과 모터속력을 함께 제어한 경우를 각각 실험한 결과, 모터속력을 함께 제어한 경우가 트랙을 이탈하지 않으면서 더욱 빠르게 주행하여 제안한 기법에 더욱 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

초전도 플라이휠 에너지 저장시스템을 이용한 UPS 설계 (Design of UPS system using SMB Flywheel Energy Storage System)

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 전력저장시스템으로써 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 배터리를 대체할 목적의 5MB (Superconductive Magnetic Bearing)를 이용한 off-line UPS에 관해 연구하였다 영구자석의 덩어리형 고온 초전도 체위에서의 부상득성을 이용하여 베어링 문제의 해결방안에 접근함으로써 고효율의 FES찰 구성하여 단상 off-line UPS에 적용하였으며 제어회로에는 80C 1 96KC 마이크로프로세서를 사용하였고 빠픈 응답윤 요구하는 부분 은 아날로그회로를 사용하여 구성하였다. 에너지 저장모드에서 컨버터 입력천류는 전원전압과 동상의 정현파로 제어하였으며 에너지 회생모드에서는 출력잔압윤 정현파로 제어하기위해 필터커패시터전류릎 직접 제어하였다. 시작 품제작을 통해 시스템의 안장된 동작특성을 확인함으로써 제안된 FES가 Off-line UPS 에서의 에너지 저장매체로써 우수함을 입증하였다.

Laser Welding Application in Car Body Manufacturing

  • Laser welding application for car body manufacturing has many advantages in the stiffness and the lightness of vehicle, the productivity of assembly line, and the degree of freedom in design. This presentation will express the innovation of car body manufacturing including parameter optimization, process modeling, and system integration. In this application the investment for systems was cut down dramatically by real time switching over the laser path between two welding stations. Points of technical discussion are as follows; optimization of parameters such as laser power, robot speed and trajectory, compact and useful design of jig & fixture to assure welding quality for 3 sheet-layer zinc-coated steel, system integration between 4㎾ Nd:YAG laser device and the other systems, on-line real time welding quality monitoring system, perfect safety standards for high power laser, minimization of consumption costs such as arc lamp, protective glass for optic, etc. This application was successfully launched mass production line in 2001. The laser-welded line of side panel consists of 122 stitches totally. And the length is about 2.4m.

중성점을 사용하지 않는 BLDC 전동기 센서리스 제어 기법 (Sensorless Control Method of the BLDC Motor Without Neutral Point)

  • Generally, brushless DC motor(BLDCM) driving system uses hall sensors or encoders as the mechanical position or speed sensor. It is necessary to achieve the informations of rotor position for driving trapezoidal type brushless DC motor without any position sensor. In this paper, the commutation signals are obtained without the motor neutral voltage, multistage analog filters, A/D converters, or the complex digital phase shift circuits which are indispensable in the conventional sensorless control algorithms. In the proposed method, in stead of detecting the zero crossing point of the nonexcited motor back electromagnetic force for the average motor terminal to neutral voltage, the commutation signal are extracted directly from the specific average line to line voltage with low-pass filter, adder and comparators circuit. In contrast to conventional methods, the neutral voltage is not need; therefore, the commutation signals are insensitive to the common mode noise. Moreover, the complex phase shift circuit can be eliminated. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation results.

Low Cost Rotor Fault Detection System for Inverter Driven Induction Motor

  • In this paper, the induction motor rotor fault diagnosis system using current signals, which are measured using axis-transformation method, and speed, which is estimated using current information, are presented. In inverter-fed motor drives unlike line-driven motor drives the stator currents have numerous harmonics components and therefore fault diagnosis using stator currents is very difficult. The current and speed signal for rotor fault diagnosis needs to be precise. Also, high resolution information, which means the diagnosis system, demands additional hardware such as low pass filter, high resolution ADC, encoder and etc. Therefore, the proposed axis-transformation and speed estimation method are expected to contribute to low cost fault diagnosis systems in inverter-fed motor drives without the need for an encoder and any additional hardware. In order to confirm validity of the developed algorithms, various experiments for rotor faults are tested and the line current spectrum of each faulty situation using Park transformation and speed estimation method are compared with the results obtained from fast Fourier transforms.

  • This paper proposes a sensorless control method of BLDC motors using line-to-line back-EMFs. Typical sensorless control methods have various problems such as the difficulty in operation at low speed and difficulties in application and so forth. However, the control method using line-to-line back-EMFs that this paper proposes solved not only such problems but also problems of noise and difficulty of commutation detection. The method is to divide line-to-line back EMF into the constant. With 550[W] BLDC motor driving system, simulations and experiments have been carried out for the verification of the proposed control method.

  • This paper deals with a fault diagnosis algorithm for open faults in the switching devices of PWM inverter-fed IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive. The proposed diagnostic algorithm is realized in the controller using the informations of three-phase currents or reference line-to-line voltages, without requiring additional equipments for fault detection. Under switch open fault conditions, the conventional dq model used to control an AC motor cannot directly be applied for the analysis of drive system, since three-phase balanced condition does not hold. To overcome this limitation, a fault model based on the line-to-line voltages is employed for the simulation studies. For comparative performance evaluation through the experiments, the entire control system is implemented using digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335. Simulations and experimental results are presented to verify the validity of the proposed diagnosis algorithm.

Electrical and Structural Design of Air-conditioning Fan Motor for Noise Reduction

  • AC induction motors have been widely used for fan motor of the air conditioner indoor unit. Noise of these AC induction motors is usually caused by the coupling effects of structural and electrical systems. The rotating torque and the noise from AC induction motor were discussed in this paper,. First, the modification of motor was carried out in order to reduce the unbalance magneto motive force between main and sub winding. Second, structural modification based on normal mode analysis and modal testing was carried out so that the fan motor does not have the natural frequencies near the 2f-line frequency. Numerical modifications through these two processes were verified by experiments, which showed that the sound pressure level at 2f-line frequency of the modified system became about 25dB less than that of conventional one.

  • This paper presents the analysis of the effects of non-uniform slots in a line start permanent magnet (LSPM) motor. For purposes of the investigation, the simple formula of $2^{nd}$resistance for rotors having different slot areas is deduced. The characteristic analysis using the formula is performed and compared with measurement results.

  • Partial discharge testing are rapidly becoming the most powerful tool to assess the condition of high voltage generator and motor stator windings. Recently, on-line monitoring scheme with trending technique is widely applied in insulation diagnosis. This paper describes the on-line partial discharge detecting techniques in the high voltage motor stator windings. Also, on-line monitoring system for an insulation diagnosis are proposed.
