This study aims to analyze the on-site improvement area of residential environment improvement project based on research results derived from the on-site and questionnaire survey in case of Daegu. The main findings are as follows. First, residents complain about delay of project completion because a long time has been passed after on-site improvement area was designated. Experts and government officials agree that a new method of development is required. Second, future development should discriminate on-site improvement area according to its level of project completion. The area should be classified into project completion areas and on-going area, and new methods, such as redevelopment, apartment-housing construction method, should be allowed. Third, for better management of on-site improvement area, laws and regulations must be ready and government's will for improvement is crucial.

A costal improvement project is designed for preventing disasters on the coast, improving costal environment, and promoting costal functions, so it is different from the one for developing coasts. However, the costal improvement project also affects the surrounding environment and it may damage the costal environment in some cases. In line with this, this study was carried out to provide the guideline to the review on environmental conditions, which should be performed in the stage of establishing the plan for a costal improvement project, so that the influence affecting marine environment can be reduced and more efficient coastal project can be planned. The costal improvement project is different in the degree of affecting the costal environment according to kinds, scales, and regions. Accordingly, in this study the state of the coastal improvement project and involved problems were analyzed. The prior environmental review system was divided into a seawall-installation project, a marine construction such as the installation of submerged breakwater and jetties, and a project for creating water-friendly coast including a park without marine landfill. The main items for reviewing these specific projects were presented.

In this paper, it was studied and analyzed how the project for improvement of rural housing environment has filled the resident's requirements relative to characteristics of a rural environment, temporal and social requirements and so on. The project for improvement of rural housing environment has been executed in a few way : the rural housing environment, the development of territories for settlement, the development of a desolate region, composition of villages. To analyze and assess the accomplishments, it was considered codes and process relative to the project for improvement of rural housing environment and was analyzed present conditions and problems, through many reference books and administrative datas. 126 of residents in Chongwon county were carried out for researchs with questionaires. This study includes basic life conditions, status for improvement of rural housing environment, degrees of resident's satisfactions and so on.

This study aimed to analyze the economic effectiveness on environment improvement project that has been implemented in five fishing grounds of Taean-gun which had been damaged by the Hebei Spirit oil spill accident. In the analysis, first, this study performed the survey on residents perceptions about the environment improvement project. Second, the cost-benefit analysis was carried out to evaluate the economic effectiveness of the project. The survey results of residents perceptions indicated that the damage of oil spill was considerable in the target areas. It also showed that residents wanted to continue the environment improvement project and the levels of project satisfaction were quitely high. The economic results showed that 3 areas(Woong-do, Wang-san, and Dang-mi) would have positive values of NPV and B/C ratio, but the other(Nu-dong) would have negative values. The findings of this analysis could be used as the base data for increasing operational efficiency of future environment improvement projects.

The advanced rural village development project started in 2005, and this project of purpose is improvement of housing environment and promotion of region activation. Researcher investigated about the advanced rural village development project of nine complex through field survey. The aim of this study is to be offered data of idyllic housing policy by examination actual conditions of study subject. Based on this study, mainly three results can be drawn as follows ; first, this project makes a great contributed to flow in population from urban to activate rural areas. Second, the project success depends on improvement an institution and planed, timely approach. Third, central government must plan network system with rural development project in political, and must support local government into political frame. The local government must consider a regional housing plan overall and must make an effort itself for the project success.

The flood control ability improvement project on existing dams is the project for prevention of disasters from excessive flood due to climate changes and thus protects lives and property damages by increasing safety of dams. The collapse of dam brings unimaginable disasters, so the project needs to be swiftly conducted by Government's funding. This paper introduces tile examples of the flood control ability improvement projects of multi-purpose and water supply dams, which is conducted in the way of structural measures among 26 dams operated by Kwater.

As demands and interests in visiting rural village increases, government authorities are promoting eco and green tour village development project through plural functions of rural village. The purpose of this study is to understand infrastructure improvement direction by researching the case study of general rural villages' changing to eco and green tourism villages. As for the research method, the character of each village was verified, then the case studies of improvement by life infrastructure using the identity of villages were analyzed. Finally, it was found that infrastructure through public facilities improvement and environment improvement project was expanded and relaxative and experiential space was offered by creating tour infrastructure using the identity of villages. Also, it was shown that farming infrastructure creating project was executed to promote the income base of locals.

This study attempted to investigate the changes in the perception of local government officials about agricultural infrastructure improvement projects due to the financial policy changes. A total of 141 local government officials were surveyed on the priority, the current status of the agricultural infrastructure improvement projects. Irrigation facilities renovation project and Small drainage improvement project had generally high priority, while Support project of cultivation basis for upland crops in paddy, Large scale land readjustment project, and Upland infrastructure improvement project had low priorities. After the introduction of the block grant system, agricultural infrastructure improvement projects had often been conducted by collecting opinions from local residents. The officials in charge of local governments recognized that the agricultural infrastructure improvement projects were reduced due to lack of financial resources and project potential sites. In response to the changes in the agricultural infrastructure improvement projects, most of the surveys showed that the influence of cities and provinces was strengthened. In addition, respondents most needed to improve the subsidy rate and there were a large number of cases requiring differential support to meet the characteristics of the local government. Therefore, it will be necessary to present a new perspective on the agricultural infrastructure improvement projects and to suggest differentiated projects for each regions.

As interests in the quality of data in database systems are growing recently, analysis and improvement of data quality in databases have been an important issue. However, there has yet to be a clear agreement on how to reasonably calculate the total cost of such project. In this paper, based on real project data and budget statistics, we develop a model to estimate the cost for quality analysis and improvement project of a database. We first conduct statistical analysis to build our basic model. Throughout this analysis, we have identified factors that determine the scale of works required to conduct the project and eventually determine the cost. In addition, we have identified factors that determine the complexity of the project. These factors can adjusts the cost determined by the scale of works. Our model is verified and improved by surveys on experts. We apply our model to newly conducted projects and observe that our model estimates the cost of each project reasonably well.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the orchard scale improvement project affects the profits of apple farmers. For this purpose, the variable profit function of Apple was estimated using seemingly unrelated regression analysis. For the analysis, raw data from the Rural Development Administration's Agricultural Income Survey from 2015 to 2021 were used. Of the 1,009 apple farms, 95 farms participated in the orchard scale improvement project and 914 farms did not participate. The results show that the profits of farms participating in the project were found to be higher than those of non-participating farms, and as the cultivation area increased, profits tended to increase and then decrease. The results also indicated that below a certain size (19,462m²), the profits from project participation appear to be lower. The results of this study can provide useful information to the establishment of government policies and apple farmers who want to participate in the orchard scale improvement project.
